I've been studying natural medicines since 2020 and I've found that almost every fruit tree leaf has a very good use, such as lowering blood pressure or regulation blood sugar levels.

Yay! What a nice and easy salve recipe! Don't forget to put a label on it with the name, date it was made, and ingredients!
One other thing I suggest is to use any herbs you grow yourself to make an infused oil (I generally use olive) that can be put into the salve. For instance, I grow chamomile (German, actually). Then I use purchased essential oils for what I don't grow myself.
Also, if you're thinking of making salves or body lotions on a regular basis, it's a good idea to use something you don't have to clean out every time. Those oils are hard to get off. It's doable, if you use paper towels or newspaper first to get off as much as possible. But I use a pan with a folded cloth in the bottom, then add water to come up to about an inch or so, and then my ingredients go into a wide mouth canning jar set on top of the cloth. I label the canning jar as to what I've made in it, and then use it every time. It saves a lot of work.
I read way too many recipes! I want to try them all! Lol! This is a really nice simple one! Thank you, Mary!

The ingredients at Amazon (Jojoba oil; coconut oil; beeswax pellets; German Chamomile essential oil; & Helichrysum Italicum essential oil) add up to ~$87. Yikes! Ergo, it will indeed be very interesting to see this natural ointment soothe and heal. Plus, all these indgredients will make more jars of this ointment over time. And, perhaps be used in other healing recipes.

This recipe sounds marvelous. I def love jojoba oil and helicrysum, which also helps stop a nose bleed as well. Never knew that much about the difference between Roman and German chamomile. This ointment looks like it would do well in the ref cuz cold it seems like that could be soothing. For bug bites I use coconut oil mixed with peppermint essential oil in a mixture I keep on hand of baking soda, Himalayan salt snd bentonite clay and purified water. It helps heal acne, cold sores ( that I add powdered lysine to and don’t include the peppermint ) and minor sun burns or grease spatter burns. The peppermint is very cooling on an itch or minor burn.

The ginger bug won't tolerate high alcohol levels and likely diet at 0
5-1.5% vs hard cider which is closer to 3%. Champagne yeast is bred to tolerate the increased ETOH content which is why it's typically used. You can always do a double organism ferment for inreased complexity.

i missed the middle because my kids were outside spraying each other with a hose.. haha! so i have to go back and watch. But i wanted to mention, after our live chat on Thursday i looked up those essential oils to be prepared for the video today. I did order Helichrysum, but i discovered it's one of the more expensive oils. If any of your viewers need a more budget friendly oil, i found some essential oil blends have helichrysum and German Chamomile in them, and they are more affordable. For example, Bumps and Boo-Boos blend by Simply Earth has helichrysum and there are others by other brands too. (I'm not an affiliate or MLM marketer of any brand)

Yes, absolutely. I will make a fermented relish. And if you already have a fermented relish - yes, you can add any type of sweetener - but only at the end of the fermentation process right before you refrigerate it. I show the process here with a sweet fermented red cabbage: ruclips.net/video/N1Za25PCpVE/видео.html But the process is the same no matter what ferment you are sweetening. Love, Mary

You can certainly do that based on what particular needs you have but helichrysum and German chamomile are very broad spectrum. However, the combination you mention of those three essential oils are perfect in place of the Helichrysum and the German chamomile. Love, Mary

I have plantain-infused oil in my apothecary, ready to make salve! I could use it as is, but I want to put several oils together to address several skin issues! I'll tell you this, tho: my grandson stepped on a bee over the Fourth, and I grabbed 2 small plantain leaves and made a poultice for him. The pain went away pretty quickly, and he never had redness or swelling. He was walking normally later that day. God makes some pretty amazing stuff!

It makes me wonder if this natural Neosporin salve would be good/safe for tattoo care, because other OTC ointments have zinc, i think, which isn't good.
Or what about for infants, boo boos, after circumcision, or diaper irritation/rash?
