- An unofficial, fan-created music video for The Moody Blues "Haunted", from their 1999 album "Strange Times". This is a rather melancholic ballad written & sung by Justin Hayward, and continues the lyrical theme of lost love that has run through several of his songs over the decades. Another Justin Hayward classic, which should have been the lead single from "Strange Times", their last regular album. Be at peace, Ray and Graeme. Now it's just the Blue Jays. The video does tell the story in my eyes.
RJ. Thanks so much for your kind words on the video. It certainly helps to have such a beautiful song and storyteller's lyric from which to illustrate a story. And I agree that this should have been a single. But I think by 1999 there were barely any outlets to promote of new music by vintage artists. Even if older artists got some TV airtime on something like "Good Morning America" they would usually have them playing a familiar old hit instead of their most recent work. "Classic rock" radio is of no help. The vintage bands still making new music in recent years, like Kansas, Styx, Yes and a handful of others, are now releasing their new singles to RUclips as their main tool of promotion, since radio is no longer playing their new music.

Gotta ask - any significance to the C-130 at 3:30? Great production. If I might suggest another project: The Day We Meet Again. Already done elsewhere. I think by Moodyjill.
Apparently the significance is that I don't know enough about airplanes. 🥴Storywise, the plane is meant to tie into a series of images that suggest the relationship is already going sour (at least to her) and that she's going to leave him behind (the birds flying away freely, the morning sun shot is from up in the clouds, right after which she walks away from him). The plane is meant to be her flying away and finally leaving him. Didn't know that the plane in the shot was a military plane. Ouch! Seen in silhouette as it is, I just thought it looked like a smaller private plane. Compared to other plane shots that I had available, what I liked about that one was that the plane was headed in a downwards motion (like the relationship from her POV) until it finally disappears off the screen, fading into the next shot where he is still remembering her in an Idyllic way. So I guess now the video can be fodder for all sorts of conspiracy theories involving military girlfriendnapping. Yikes! ...As for "The Day We Meet Again", that's one I'll have to seriously consider. And if I do pick that one eventually, no more C-130s!...Thanks for your comments!
Seems the Moodies have a vault of unreleased music
This song is from their 1999 album "Strange Times". On this channel we always like to feature some of the lesser-known gems instead of the big hits, of which there are already many RUclips videos...But if there is a vault of unreleased music I'd love to take a tour of that vault!! : - )
