VIDEO WITH LYRICS SAYS IT ALL - IT'S ALL WE'VE GOT - IT'S NOT A LOT THIS SONG WHEN IT WAS RELEASED WAS NOT A BIG HIT BECAUSE IT ACTUALLY BRINGS REALITY TO LIFE - IT HAS MOTIVATED ME TO MAKE THE BEST OF EVERY DAY AND NOW IN MY 70'S HAVE LIVED BEYOND THAT 22,000 DAY THRESHOLD UNLIKE MICHAEL JACKSON, KOBE BRYANT, Amy Winehouse, Paul Walker and Millions of others.
It's a great song from an incredible album (Long Distance Voyager) full of good songs. It wasn't a big hit because it was on the same album as The Voice and Gemini Dream.
Pattie. Graeme's passing was so heartbreaking. He gave us so many great songs and poems over the decades. I was lucky enough to meet him once on the "Keys Of the Kingdom" tour in 1991 and he seemed like a very kind and genuine guy with myself and other fans. Glad that he was with us for 29,446 days and not just 22,000 (yep, such a geek I actually did the math!)
This song came to mind when I got Covid after a recent family outing the first three days were awful I’m in my seventies and thought this is it we are only supposed to have three score yrs and ten getting over it now love the visuals of this Thankyou for sharing a classic Moody Blues song💙
I lived in Evanston Illinois near Northwestern University in the late 70's early 80's. They had a lot of cool antique stores. I regret not buying a hourglass. Love this song. I think I'm at about 21, 993 days right now. Getting there.
I started to discover The Moody Blues music around the end of 1980 and started collecting albums. Then in '81 I heard "The Voice" on the radio and instantly recognized Hayward's voice. Soon I found the new album at the record store. I spent the rest of the year immersed in Moody Blues music, and "Long Distance Voyager" was a instant favorite and probably the most played album I own. The message of "22,000 Days" has always stuck with me over the years.
Thank you for the kind words! I've purposely chosen to do Moody Blues songs that are lesser-known & album cuts, and not the obvious hits. There are already so many videos of the big hits on RUclips. Time to give some love to the deep cuts!
Hi! Thanks for posting this. You said in another comment you were going to do some lesser known MB songs? Sorry, I didn't look at the date to see how long it's been since you posted it. Oh okay a month ago. Am going to sub to your channel. Thank you!
I have a few more Moody Blues videos currently in the works. They'll probably be ready within the next week or two. Working on vids for a few other artists as well, but it's The Moody Blus ones that always seem to be the most popular...Thanks so much for watching, Debbie!
@@visualizeprog2874 I enjoy watching. As a matter of fact, I just shared this with my brother. I absolutely love the video you made. I LOVE THUNDERSTORMS!
Hi Bau. When doing a bit of research while working on this video I actually looked into that. Here's some info I found...Graeme Edge said "22,000 days represents the average life expectancy of a human". This adds up to 60 years, 115 days (counting leap years). This was accurate in 1973, but was a bit higher when the song was written in 1981. Over the next few decades, life expectancy increased rapidly, to 71. But this song is not about statistics. It's about making the most of our time on Earth, knowing it won't last forever."

Great song, and love the video - thank you for posting these with the lyrics! Fantastic! :-)
Thanks! I'll be doing more Moody Blues in the future for sure. "Long Distance Voyager" is probably the most played album/CD in my collection.

I'm at 21,982 ... as of 8/28/24
when I first heard this song in 1981 I was 17 years old and thought 22,000 is a LONG time from now. Ooof!!!!
Excellent....
Thanks. There are some other Moody Blues video creations on this same channel, too. Sort of my "soundtrack of my life" band.
That's very good what you've done here. The Long Distance Voyager album and this song particularly is what really got me hooked on the Moody Blues.

Very well done, the 80's were definitely a special time.
Thanks for the Reminder....
