Any advice on if your wayyy t8ghter on 1 side? I can do a figure 4 with my right leg fine but can barely do it with my left and I'm generally fit and healthy tbh
Hip flexor area unknown before other video. I made muscle cramps there. Never felt Pain There. Video helped. I just flexed area too much too casually. Ouch
This stretch helped me again! I was having lower back pain for several days. I tried a lot if different stretches but none of them worked. I'm glad this video popped back up. Thank you so much.

I have 2 hip replacements so can I do this exercise. I've injured my spine also , 2 broken vertebrae so trying to manage it with exercise. The op is not guaranteed which could end up in a wheelchair. Between my L1 and L3 lower back. Need lots of back exercises
Not the best way to do this if you have lower back pain. Anyone who has knows that sitting position is the worst. Either do this laying on your back so you can pull your crossed knee down whilst holding the other ankle. Or do it standing up. DO NOT DO THIS SITTING DOWN. PLEASE.
Ok, I want that chair!! You do so many moves using it!! But yeah, I'm trying to do this stretch every day. I do really well right leg over left, but left over right is another story. More arthritis in that hip so it's painful to bring that leg up.

I had back pain, and what I found out just last night cause I stayed awake was that I sunk too far into my foam mattress compared to normal, or even on any of my shoulders making my shoulder blades and upper back more up while the lower lumbar more down and in. this fixed it legit
I could only get my left calf on my knee due to super tight hips. Things got easier the more I did the stretch. It was slightly painful at first, but after alternating to each side, the stretch got easier. Don't forget to breathe throughout the stretch! I noticed improved posture upon standing and the ability to stand from sitting while clasping my hands in front of me instead of pushing up with hands on front of my thighs.
What about slightly higher than the hips pain? A couple months ago my back went out, I'm finally almost back to normal but at the same time it feels like a few wrong moves and I'll be layed up for a week

How far should i bend forwards, the more i bend the more pain i feel, should i force through pain or lower the bending. Also i have the exact pain in the area that you showed with your hand, because of heavy training. How should i proceed with lifting weights with this pain or i need to quit the gym until it recovers? Fantastic questions! You should never push through pain when doing any of our movements. If you are experiencing pain then that means you may need an easier variation! Take it slow and only go as far as comfortable. As you practice over time, that range will grow as you improve. I've had L4/L5 problems for years, different Dr's and therapy said to do this. But it always makes the pain worse.
Never go to the point where it becomes painful. This exercise can be bad for the joints if you go to hard
