Put your face to my window Breath a night full of treasure The wind is delicious sweet and wild with the promise of pleasure ...The stars are alive and nights like these were born to be sanctified by you and me lovers theives fools and pretenders.... and all ya gotta do all ya gotta do all ya gotta do ..... all ya gotta do all ya gotta do all ya got to do All youve got to do is surrender
Can ya let me know what the book title is called when up out & is it still available?....damn he’s an interesting dude! Love his voice his answers and such. Wonderful dude!.....👍❤️😻
People wonder who the whole of the moon is about. But it must be about mike himself. He talks about tenements in every dream and vision under the stars. Tenements are unique to Scotland. So I doubt very much if prince is dreaming about these. As people seem to think he wrote it about prince. It must be about a Scottish person, and I would bet it is himself.
Mike was in his early 20's , and was in New York with his girlfriend and she asked him if he could write a song about 'anything'. They were walking down a street at night and the moon was up and shining. He said Yeah what do you want me to write about?... and she looked up and said.. Oh, write a song about the moon. So he did. But it took him quite a while to write and finish it! See his autobiography (Adventures of a Waterboy) for this story. It is true! The 'You' isn't Mike. Mike is the one who only saw a rainbow. The 'other' held it in their hand.... He does mention a friend of his who was like that, but it certainly isn't a Prince!
'An Appointment with Mr Yates' is a fantastic album and worth checking out if you don't own it. One of Mike's best.
Very well spoken fella. Fisherman's blues album recorded in my village many years before I was even born. But strangely feel a connection to it
