Very nice interview, Kimberly. Unlike a lot of other would-be journos, it appears you actually took the trouble to read the book before interviewing! How lovely and charming of you - and it's obvious that Mike responded well to your line of questioning. Loved the book, and love Mike Scott. Thank you for the music! Long live the Waterboys!
I always thought that Mike Scott had / has one of the best vocals I've ever heard. He has a beautiful color and quality to his voice. It's inspirational, joyful, sorrowful, mournful, happy, sad...it's the kitchen sink of human emotion.
Oh wow! So pleased to have found this interview. This man is so warm and honest, and engaging. He has some wonderful turns of phrase. The album, An Appointment With Mr Yeats is beautiful. Met him briefly after waiting after a great show in Cambridge last week and felt he did enter into the moment in our conversation. I was moved by the experience.
Wow! The warmest tears made their way down my cheeks watching this as I realized that there's someone out there whom I've never met personally but actually "gets" me. thank you, Mike Scott. knew there was something about you grom the first time I heard you on the radio and later saw you live back in '85.
I used to be on his old Delphi forum back when he was just getting the "band back together". He was down to basics and yet he planned this big musical come back. Quite a story!

A delightful and insightful interview with a most original and under-rated artist. Thank you Mike, thank you Kimberly and thank you Rock Book Show!
Mike is such a lovely warm man, one of the best songwriters ever

He just seems to be such a warm, kind, friendly and down to earth guy! Besides, of course, being the best song-writer in the world.
What a great guy....A real artist.
A great poet. A great musician. An all around great guy.
Bumped into Mike afew times in Dublin, nice down to earth guy as well as all that talent he has going on.
Absolute genius!!
Great interview under blue N.Y. sky, Mike!
I can't wait to read his book... such a genuine, original lyricist.
You'll love the book.
Saw them in Glasgow last night, they played a mini festival type show at queens park in Glasgow. Mike's songs and voice still resonate beautifully.
Good interview. Go Mike!
