    Vale Karl Wallinger
    Karl Wallinger was one of the best and greatest musicians/ composers / producers and collaborators in music history.
    Sadly the great man has died aged 66.
    He passed away peacefully at his home.
    My throat is tight and my eyes fill with tears.
    Karl's music holds a very special place in my heart and soul.
    RIP mate you were a genius of the music world.
    Always in our hearts.

      Yeah, initially I would watch and record bits of the show, bands that I was interested in, then by 86 I found it easier to record the full thing complete with commercials and like you, I'd note down what I recorded, so each tape has an insert detailing exactly what's on it. Do you have the interview Scott Walker did on The Tube and the video of ”Track 3” from 1984?

    • @ScottishTeeVee
      @ScottishTeeVee  4 года назад +1

      I don't have it. I Don't have much by Scott Walker, other than a 19 minute VHS EPK (Electronic Press Kit) tape sent to me by his record company, if its not already online, then I will upload it.

    Man the audience is not doing the Scots any favors. They all seem dead to the amazing groudbreaking music they're being exposed to. Except for a few people in the back letting loose. What a waste of amazing talent, and an amazing band. So sad I was not old enough to see the power lineup of Scott, Wallinger and Thistlethwaite

      Audiences on The Tube were always like that. Too cool for school 🙄
      Mind you, live tv recordings can be intimidating.

    This band - The Waterboys - came out around the same time as U2 did and even at one point both bands performed live together. They both went their separate ways and now history is made based on countless albums full of songs written over the many upon many years since the early 80s. One band has have millions upon millions of views to their songs while the other has not but… there’s no doubt that the second band called The Waterboys is equally as great as the other. It does not matter your following count but rather what you produced and it’s quality

      To me, the Waterboys are way better than U2. Far superior as time passed
