This is a 12 minute weighted arm workout. Feel free to go without weights if you prefer! This workout is perfect for toning your arms and shoulders, as well as strengthening your core. Make sure your RUclips settings are on 720p HD for the best quality.

Thank you so much! I've had trouble remembering the arm series I learned in a pilates elective in college. This was exactly it!
A question I was never able to ask my professor:
I have knock-knees and cannot physically place my heels together. (My knees come together sooner and it is quite painful if I try to force them further together.)
Will keeping my heels slightly apart completely negate the benefits of the form for this series?
Shay Joaquin Absolutely not! It is better to be safe with your knees. Always make sure though your knees are tracking between 2nd & 3rd toes in the rotated position. Enjoy!
I just wish I understood the dynamic of how Pilates can build muscles just as well as lifting heavy weights and make you cry too! LOL! I had 1 pound and I was dying! LOL!

thank you ange for being such an inspiration and someone to look up to! i' ve been training with you for about 1 year now, but recently i experienced such a great and lasting pain on neck and shoulders (but not during the exercise), that i had to avoid any form of workout for 3 weeks. I am aware of a neck issue i have (herniated neck) but never had these symptoms before. is it true that people facing this problem should not lift weights above shoulder height? i read about this recently and i wonder if i should skip the arms exercises in general ( to my great disappointment). of course, i intend to ask my doctor, but i would very much appreciate your opinion.....
evaggelia mavrikou I am so sad to hear this. Yes I would agree weight above your head is not good and any resistance actually as it might pull on your neck. I would recommend you take it easy until you are completely recovered. There are lots of Pilates exercises you can do without causing neck strain. Of course the best thing to do is listen to your body. Wishing you a speedy recovery 😍😍

Hi Ange - I have trouble keeping my heels touching when I rise on to my toes...especially towards the end. Is that a problem? Really enjoyed this, thank you!

Hi Laura, I am so glad that you enjoyed this. Do not worry if your heels are not touching but make sure that when your feet are flat your heels are together and do not forget to keep engaging your inner thighs! Regards Ange
I have a very slight tennis elbow. would this be ok if I do it slow? Really slow?
Hi Gonca, I am sorry to hear about your tennis elbow, unfortunately I am not qualified to give you a recommendation, if you can, check with a medical professional, hope it gets better soon.
Do we have to do it everyday? I work on my upper body twice a week
Careen, it depends on your level of fitness and what you want to achieve. You could certainly do upper body more times in a week make sure you alternate with your lower body and your abdominals as it’s best to work the body as a whole and evenly. 😊

Will this workout give me some definitions on my shoulders? Great workout by the way ❤
Careen, it most certainly will but remember these weights are light so if you want to see more definition you might want to try increasing the weights. However maintaining the correct posture is key. If you are unable to execute the exercise with the correct technique you are wasting your time. Pilates is not about a lot of repetitions but focuses on executing the exercise correctly so the right muscles can fire.

OMG Angie, just ran across your video. I want your sculpted arms, abdomen, heck, entire body! I'm a recovering stroke patient....suffered two strokes in AUG 2015. I'm going on 53, but optimistic of getting to look defined as you. My physical therapy ended FEB 2016, but I exercise in the AM & PM. I found great fitness instructors, such as Linda Wooldridge, SofaBar, Helen Bower, P57 Fitness. All you ladies on RUclips have contributed to my recovery & I thank you....AGE IS BUT A NUMBER! I look FWD to trying other videos of yours for the legs & thighs. GREAT SHORT WORKOUTS!!!

Thank you Angie. I've found Pilates, Ballet & Yoga to be very beneficial to my recovery. I used to exercise sporadically (once or twice a MONTH), but now twice DAILY--early in the morning B4 work & at night. . . It is now my NEW norm for healthy living plus being more intentional with selective foods I eat. Well, thank you so much for your reply. I think my insomnia has ended and I'll bid you goodnight.

I recently upped the weight that I use for a few of the exercises such as the zipper and chest opening. I'm wondering if that is what is behind the soreness around the back of my ribs. again, thank you so much for your videos!
Leanna Hattaway Thank you so much. The zipper is the same as an upright row exercise which works the shoulders front and back as well as the mid and upper back muscles so what you are feeling is fine. Good job! 💪💪
