Grand Haven City Beach On Lake Michigan

Lake Michigan.
The last time Beo put his paws in a Great Lake. We got to Lake Erie, Lake Huron, and finally Lake Michigan this year. Of course last year, in 2023, we visited all 5 Great Lakes.
The waves were too much for him and knocked him down. Poor boy was unsteady on his precious little paws.
The Grand Haven City Beach is sorta dog friendly. Before Memorial Day (last Monday of May) and after Labor Day (first Monday of september) it's always dog friendly. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day dogs aren't allowed between 11a-5p. It's dumb, dogs should always be allowed whenever.
However, dogs are not allowed ever at the nearby Grand Haven State Park beach, so I guess it's nice to have some hours for doggies in summer.
Lake Michigan is beautiful. These coastal beaches up Michigan's west side are gorgeous. We love visiting Lake Michigan.
The dogs got to visit Lake Michigan 4 times. Once when we did a canine cruise from the Chicago River to Lake Michigan. And then in 2022 when we went to Saugatuck Dunes State Park, in 2023 at Warren Dunes State Park and kinda again when we were at the Straits Of Mackinac, and then this year 2024 here at Grand Haven. Fifi should hopefully have many more years of adventures on Lake Michigan. Some of these coastal towns surrounding these beautiful beaches have been some of our favorites. There are lots more towns to explore. We've barely cracked the surface.

Dog Policy
Dogs are allowed on-leash before 11am and after 5pm Memorial Day through Labor Day. Before Memorial day and after Labor Day, dogs are permitted on-leash at all times. Off-leash dogs are not permitted.
Grand Haven Beach
A visit to Grand Haven is not complete without a walk a day spent at the beach! Recently, Grand Haven Beach was named one of the world’s best secret beaches by Travel and Leisure Magazine. It was joined by other beaches in places like Koh Lanta, Thailand and Cirali Beach, Turkey.
The always changing hues of Lake Michigan make Grand Haven Beach an eye-pleasing place to pass time. Shades of deep blue, aqua and green offer a beautiful backdrop against the soft sands that sing when you swish your feet to and fro.
Lake Michigan’s waves are excellent for boogie boarding and even surfing most days. Many people pack the place to sunbathe, swim, play volleyball, frisbee and badminton. Some bring kites, kayaks and parasails. Others are out to simply enjoy the scenery with friends and family. Whatever the reason, Grand Haven Beach is indeed one of the best beaches on earth!

Sand no good for wheels, need 4 paw drive. Oh no, Beo got bogged and needed towing. Going to be hard on you answering all the comments on his video's but it made me better thinking that they really appreciate even now how much we love them. Meanwhile I've got a pupper snoring next too me. I must be doing something right that she is so content.

I go back and forth. Somedays, I love all the positive comments about Beo. Somedays, they make me cry. I DREAD when the videos with Beo end, then it'll be just Fifi and let me tell you, princess Fifi is not pleased she has to carry the channel by herself and take all the pics by herself. She used to take half the pics, now they're all her.

@@RescueDogFam Yep. Same. That's why we don't go to the dog park. It's too sad watching Tikaani not knowing what to do. No-one to run around with. She gets upset, then I get upset and I still have to edit the video. So we just avoid it. We both really miss the boy. Even after nearly 3 years he still makes me cry. This afternoon I was curled up in the middle of the backyard, just me and piggy Amaya. Just where I would have been with Wolf. Amaya was so good not running off and just flopping with me. Poor Tikaani didn't understand what was going on. I just missed my boy and not in a good space.

I rewatched this video. I cut a lot of footage of him falling, but that's what we were dealing with towards the end. Constant falling, he couldn't pick himself up at all. Made his front shoulder sore trying. And then that front leg wouldnt work right.
I cried a lot today missing Beo.
