A look at Wolverhampton Railway Station taken on the afternoon of Saturday 15th June 2024.
Wolverhampton is situated on the Birmingham section of the west coast main line and is the terminating point for Avanti West Coast service to London Euston via Birmingham New Street. In addition, Avanti West Coast also provide a service between Birmingham New Street and Glasgow Central or Edinburgh calling here. Arriva Crosscountry services running between Manchester Piccadilly and southerly destinations such as Reading, Bournemouth and Bristol also call here. Other long distance services to use Wolverhampton are Arriva Trains Wales service running between Holyhead and Birmingham International and Aberystwyth and Birmingham New Street and London Midland services between Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street. Stopping services are provided by West Midlands Trains to Shrewsbury, Walsall and Birmingham New Street.
The West Midlands Metro tram system terminates outside the station so we see a clip of this at the end of this video.
