Love this!!!! Thank you, having the paper patterns help me personally a tonne!!!!! Thanks so much!! Using beautiful yarn you could make a fabulous cardigan and then add to it too if your crafty lol ♥️⭐️♥️
Thank You for demonstrating the scf stitch!! I finally understood it with your teaching and seen it well while you did it! I haven’t been able to get that accomplished with any other teacher!! I am most grateful for you! You’re an excellent teacher!!!! Thank You again!
I just wanted to say thank you so much for not putting what seems like a million ads in your videos!! I am one who likes to look at the video first and then start my project so I'm familiar with the steps first. It's annoying for a video to cut off right in the middle of any instruction. Much respect!!!!!
You do realize that's how The Crochet Crowd makes a living, huh? People that have RUclips channels get paid for the ads and that's why it's very important that the viewers watch them.
Yeah it is... Truthfully. I don't control that. I have the channel set so it doesn't put ads midway through. I could show you a screen shot of my settings. RUclips does that as they believe you should see an ad every 11 minutes. I agree, there should be NO ADS in the middle of a learning tutorial.
Wow I’m sooo glad you did the paper example...I need to see things to understand and now I do understand another partern I came across as well. You’re the best! Thanks!
Thank you for the fantastic tutorial!! I am trying to learn how to read patterns so I went to your website and printed the pattern so I could follow along with the video and see if I understood the pattern. I really love your clear instructions and the written patterns seem very easy to use for a beginner!! Thank you for working so hard all the time to bring us such amazing content!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hiya… so I am enjoying your style of teaching and your easy banter 😊😊😊. I have made the bulk of this sleeveless cardigan and I did the 227 stitch one and I am verging on a loose crocheter, however I guess I am so much fatter than I thought because the sides don’t come close to meeting in the front 🙀🙀🙀 so I was thinking of making a horizontally crocheted rectangle of the same design to join the other two pieces, in the back - what do you think?
Thank you, Mikey for explaining this pattern so simply. Foundation crochet scares me as well. I have looked a lot of cardigan patterns recently and the foundation crochet scares me away. How is your baby puppy?
@10:12 oops, I believe that you ought to have said Double Crochet across, NOT single crochet across. =) I love how easy and pretty this sweater pattern is. Thank you, Mikey!
Thank you for demo this cardigan, great for fall weather...Will be working on this now, seems very easy to follow without always looking at the written pattern!!
Hi I love your crochet crowd channel. I’m so glad I found this pattern for the cardigan but did you mean double crochet across? You said single crochet in the pattern but double crocheted in the video. Thank you.
I’ve been crocheting for 20yrs but I’ve been too scared to make anything like this. The video was a great help, but I think seeing the panels put together on a smaller scale would’ve helped a bit more. I mean, I kind of understand with the papers but I was definitely getting a little lost.
Thank you for the tutorial, Mikey. However, it would have helped me enormously to see how you actually join the seams and finish the borders. I had to look at another crochet site for a tutorial on how to join the panels together with a sc.
Hi I am new in doing crochet so please also mention how many yards are required for any project, as if someone use different yarn than you Thanks for such good support for leaners
We have the link provided in the video description and in the pinned comment. We do that so you can click to the pattern and get that very specific information pertaining to the project. It's the easiest way.
I hate making that starting chain and Was concerned I couldn’t get the two sides to be identical, so I figured out how to make it all in one piece. So I only had to join the side seams. It turned out well.
Uh oh - I chained 172 - and I’ve done 4 rows. I just put it over my shoulder and it’s going to be way too short. Is there some stitch I can add around the bottom to lengthen it?
Hi, just went to get the pattern and there are 2 versions, one a cardigan and the other a pullover. I’m assuming they are exactly the same except for stitching the front closed for the pullover? Haven’t read all the fine print or details yet. Also, I think I want to extend the sleeves all the way down. Thanks for the video and pattern.
@@TheCrochetCrowd no problem, just noticed it. I will read the details. Probably the same, just the seaming of the front makes it a pullover. 😁. I like the looks of the pullover! Thanks ❤️
You are probably just overlooking the details on the free pattern. It states. RED HEART® Unforgettable®: 4 (5, 6, 6, 8, 8) balls 9942 Cappuccino Susan Bates Crochet Hook: 6mm [US J-10]
Se puede tocar las tres pintas a la derecha y arriba del video. Allí se puede poner la “caption” a español. Entonces tienes las palabras debajo en español. Ojalá que yo escribí esto bien. Me hace mucho tiempo de hablar y es to ir en español. ¡Bendiciones!
I love your videos, but I noticed less and less crocheting, following a paper cut out isn't always easy, I can't read patterns so seeing hands on works for me
It's in the downloadable pattern. Go here and you can get the diagram and a click over to the pattern to save, view or print. thecrochetcrowd.com/crochet-two-rectangle-cardigan-pattern/
This piece doesn’t have separate instructions for sleeves. When you sew the seams for the sides, that is what gives you the part that hangs off your shoulder.
Our videos usually have a link in the video description in case you miss the detail in the video. I followed the link for you, it states 6 mm hook. Enjoy your evening.
If I do miss saying it, the pattern is always linked in the video description so it can be found. It's not intentional in missing the hook size, sometimes I just forget as filming and demoing at the same time is a lot of think about in one sitting. This case, the pattern stated 6 mm / J hook.

You are so welcome!

The most difficult parts for me are joining and finishing, it would be great to see demos of the rest of the pattern.
I like the way you explained it with the cards! Nice and visual, easy to follow.
I made this for my thin sister and my not-so-thin self. It looked great in both sizes and it wasn’t difficult
I am going to try this also I have not seen a single project you have created that I don’t like thanks
I much prefer the FSC for any work, it makes such a nice edge. but it takes a few trials for people to get it. Well done with your demo
in progress of making this for my boyfriends mom, really excited about this one :))
Oh yay, thank you I’ve had this pattern forever and now would love to make it, as always your tutorial will make it even easier.
Me too!!! This is perfect for fall.... Even winter over another shirt. 😉
Thnx for sharing very easy to follow 😊

Mikey, can you please give some suggestions of other yarns that would work well with this. Thanks so much!!
can anyone tell me what other yarn they may have used to make this? thank you so much!
Did you find a comparable yarn?
@@CarolR.9149 I ordered Red Heart Ombre but I haven't had a chance to work on it yet. :)

How many rows or inches do you make each panel for the different sizes? I'm making an XL with the single crochet chain of 200, thanks. 😊

What size crochet hook do we use?
Stand by. I will open the free pattern linked in the video description.
6 mm / J/10 it states.
Are you doing tutorials for all of the patterns Yarnspirations has now? You've been super busy.
No... just whatever I choose. It's fall and crochet is picking back up.
How do you do the sleeve ?
How do I make the sleeves longer?
I think once it is sewn together... You could just add on to the sleeve opening.
How can i make it shorter in length and longer sleeve? Thanks
Yes, you could make it longer, just stay within the multiples it suggests. You can add on longer sleeves. Patterns are just suggestions.
How can i make it shorter in length? How many stitches should i make?
And thank you for taking time replying to our questions
Why can I not see the hook size nor yarn size!?

I'm not sure.
@@TheCrochetCrowd I think you can. Make a rectangle that's as long as the top of the cardigan down to the armhole, double it and crochet it on.
