When you said at the beginning that you were going to cut it in half, I nearly didn't watch until I realised that you meant you were going to half the number of stitches. Great pattern. I love how the cardigan drapes.
Excellent cardigan tutorial! How you make the decreases on the wrist and then crochet the rib directly on the sleeve is so clever. It's less bulky than sewing a strip of rib on later.❤
Its two panels though, and suoer easy pattern, so thank you for sharing. I got loss at the neck instructions though 😮🤷🏾♀️😭 You can also crochet the pieces together with slip stitch instead of sewing together.
You are soooo awesome for making this tutorial, seriously thank you💗💗💗💗💗 going to make this for my momma as a gift, gonna do a thinner fluffy yarn for a winter warm cardigan🥰
@@Ghfranshatub I didn’t finish it 😭. Couldn’t figure out how to do the sleeves. But I recently learned how to do a shrug so now Ik how to do sleeves. So I think I’m going to go back and finish this one!!!

I can't handle the ones that talk about their entire life before they ever get to the crochet pattern and are really hyped up. Your voice is so calming. Thank you!
I’m still pretty new to crocheting and I’m so happy I found a cardigan tutorial that was just one color. I started this halfway through another project. I’m positive this will turn out well and I can finish it before the weather starts cooling down. I will update later! Thank you!
Hello, this is BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for putting this video into the world. Question- How many yards would you recommend for a size large or extra large? Thank you for your time to make this video :)
Nice job explaining the one panel way and how to do the cuffs. Any reason why you didnt do the sleeves in the round so you have less sewing? Will it not work if you are doing it this way?
Are you chaining one, before turning your work or no? I'm a beginner here and don't wanna make mistake. loll Love cardigans, and I'm excited to see how this turns out, tysm for this tutorial!
Oh.. never mind.. I just saw that YES.. you do chain one before turning your work. lmao *face palm* Again.. tysm for your tutorial. Your voice really is calming and I absolutely appreciate.
acrually i missed this too! i am a newbie at this too and i am excited as this looks like a great way to move from blankets into fall clothes confidently - good luck too!
Oh this is such a great tutorial!! Now that you know your stitch count could you do it all in one panel and work from sleeve to sleeve? Doing that chain extension thing where the sleeve meets the body? Either the front or back panel would be one row shorter but you'd never know once you stitch the sides together
Lovely cardigan! It’s there a reason why you yarn under at the beginning of each stitch? If it’s a design feature let us know (next time) because otherwise this changes the stitch size and complicates how others can make the same gauge as you. I usually follow written patterns but my daughter wanted to try this so we are going to each make one for ourselves, can’t wait to start!
I think she hold the yarn as in knitting, I don't think it would make any difference to the stitch size, it's just the preference of the person as to how they hold their yarn, ( I believe).
@@AspenBennett-j6o hi thank you for that information. I have never seen this way of crocheting before. I don't think I would be able to change my method 😜.
Hello:) you change the measurements of the cardi to make any size, in order to change the length of the body you can add more starting chains, to change the width you would crochet more half double crochet rows, also using old clothes that fit nicely as measurements helps too, let me know if you have any more questions 😊
oh my goodness!!! i’m so sorry for answering so late but for me when folded in half and measured from my shoulder to my upper leg is was around 30 inches
hi!! im trying to make this, but im stuck in the step after you are chaining 105 and make half double crochet on each chain. i cant understand what should i do next 😢😢😢 can you explain it to me?
after you do your 105 you do 210 half double crochets down the row, since half the row is chains and half the row is stitches you just half double crochet in 105 chains then half double crochet in 105 stitches for a total of 210 half double crochets, i hope this helps😊
towards the end of the sleeve you could do half double crochets to where your thumb would be then chain one or two and skip half double crochets making a gap in the sleeve, i hope this makes sense lol
I just quickly went through the video but I didn't see how you ended the sleeve. Did I just miss that part? I want to do mine like yours. Hope you see this🙂

@@valeriepoole1535 it actually does make a difference in the stitch size because when you yarn under you use less yarn so the stitch is smaller

Hello, how much yarn did you use?
16oz
Very nice!
What size is your sweater. Great! Job😊
How much yarn did you use for this sweater?
I just finished making it and I used 5, I’m adding pockets tomorrow!
How would i make this an XL/2X? I dont see any other info or a written pattern to go by.

Thanks!!! I Don't really speak English but this tutorial it's really good 🫶
thank you😊
About how many skeins does this cardigan take
Can I use weight 3 yarn? And how many yards are needed for the cardigan?
Hello, love this cardigan but I stuck on the neck, how many stitches are you doing please???
thank you! so i started off with 210 for the height of the body, so for neck i do 10 rows of 105 stitches so it only crochets the back half
How many skeins of yarn did you use for this project?
I lose count easy so I bought colored paper clips and put 1 every 10 stitches.
How much yarn do you need?
Hi! I'm using different size hook and yarn for this piece. I was wondering how long was the 25 row front-back panels in centimeters or inches?
oh my goodness!!! i’m so sorry for answering so late but for me when folded in half and measured from my shoulder to my upper leg is was around 30 inches
can i use any yarn for this tutorial
THANK YOU SO MUCH WOW!!!
YOURE WELCOME
Good job!
How much yarn does this use please?
Can you add a hoodie?
Hi, how many stitches across for the neck please?
hi!! im trying to make this, but im stuck in the step after you are chaining 105 and make half double crochet on each chain. i cant understand what should i do next 😢😢😢 can you explain it to me?
after you do your 105 you do 210 half double crochets down the row, since half the row is chains and half the row is stitches you just half double crochet in 105 chains then half double crochet in 105 stitches for a total of 210 half double crochets, i hope this helps😊
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing! Looks super cute and cozy on you.
How would you suggest to modify to include thumb holes?
towards the end of the sleeve you could do half double crochets to where your thumb would be then chain one or two and skip half double crochets making a gap in the sleeve, i hope this makes sense lol
Can you tell me how many stitches across you did for the neck please? I know you did 10 rows but how many stitches across please?
has anyone tried adding a hoodie to this cardigan? is it do able?
I just quickly went through the video but I didn't see how you ended the sleeve. Did I just miss that part? I want to do mine like yours. Hope you see this🙂
Never mind😑 duh! I just saw where you did that. Sorry!
no worries😂 glad u found it😊😊
hey hun, just wondering roughly how much yarn you used to make this?
I bought two 800 yard balls of yarn, but had some left over.

@@trAshWinterthat sounds like a fun idea and it would look beautiful as well.

What size needle are you using please?
I used a 6.00 mm hook, for the actual needle I used to sew it together I’m not sure but if you look up yarn needle, my guess would be the 3 inch one😊
😇😇😇
does it have to be a 6.00 mm hook?
it doesn’t have to, whatever you prefer but for me it was a good size to make the stitches not too loose or too tight
