I've really enjoyed this. Thank you. I think what you have done is 'enough'. That's a big compliment to somebody confident ontheir abilities. Most if youtube seems to be populated by docetail joints perfectly fashioned in qtr £m quid workshops. Thus video demonstrates how appropriate quality [for a garage window] can be acheived as others have said, via 'kerbside joinery'. Seriously, really very good stuff. Thank you twice.
@Stewart_Bell thank you all our work is similar to this you would be surprised an much can be done without a work shop I wish I could afford one the quality of work would increase but so would the price
@@dcjoinerydjdave6100 I'm currently doing a house up and when I think back the first house I did up 25byears ago and the tools, capabilities (workmanship) and resources (RUclips) I had them and now I can scarcely believe I did sash window restoration that has lasted this long. It's just getting that balance right. Yeah sure with a big workshop the 'quality' would go up, as would the price as you say, but what I was saying is that you are doing an appropriate standard of work presumably for an appropriate price. There is a place for that. I thought it was great anyway 🤙
Smashing job that dave you can't beat a bit of kerbside carpentry 😊 Ricky does a great job of making sure he is one step Infront of you with having tools to hand as you need them its great when you work with someone like that, and seems like hes doing a good job on camera 👍👍
Hi Dave, yet another cracking video. I was wondering on the type of timber you used for the windows, as you gotten me thinking of sorting out my garage window frames, plus any advice or tips. Cheers Steve
Hi Steve the timber was treated timber ideally a hardwood would be best but it's very expensive treated timber is fine as long as it treated properly If you require any more advice feel free to hit me up
Great video, perfect for making shed windows, But why wouldn't you include glass in your quote??? It's a £20 piece of 4mm float???? It makes absolutely no sense at all???
@@dcjoinerydjdave6100 great vid . I m a Joiner as well and always looking how others In the trade tackle jobs as they may be doing things better so I can adapt. BTW I gave away my dewalt after i bought the ryobi

@sally6457 because the clients on a budget obviously if it had smashed wexwould have replaced it .
They where happy to re use the old glass
No need for joints its going knowhere once its fitted - butted at corners and screwed together would do the job
