chud jackson love this comment
They are the best.
am I the only who thinks the fact that it's almost impossible to imagine what they'd sound like individually or that it's often difficult to differentiate their voices only makes them more powerful there's no weakness no one caries anyone else it's just one big awesome noise
93RubixCube Agreed. Up until they performed Toy on Later, I thought it was Kayus doing the “Lover lover” part, but it’s G. He is especially chameleonic as a singer.
Totally! It reminds me of the classic Wall of Sound style
@@blotcho84 See them live! fecking incredible!!
😅q😅
That was the first thing I noticed when watching them live. I'd had no idea who was the singer of each part when I initially heard them on a music video (Shame.)
Don't miss an opportunity to see these guys live. They put on an excellent show!
I first saw them at Hangoutfest in Alabama. I was one of literally 10 people in the audience. They blew me away, even with such a small crowd. Then they came to DC and I forced 10 friends to come see them for my birthday. I was lucky enough to get a spot right on the side of the stage because my friend worked at the venue. Everyone thanked me afterward and said it was one of the best live shows they had ever seen. They are AMAZING!
I also stumbled upon them at Hangout fest whilst wondering the festival grounds, had never heard of them but was totally blown away.
A friend of mine dragged me along to see these guys in Atlanta a few months ago. I had never listened to them before, and I was completely blown away. So much energy considering there were maybe 40 people in the crowd.
Shawn McCormack 10:23 :)
+Shawn McCormack were you there this year, I saw them live in Atlanta this year and they killed it. Very humble too I got to talk to them. Kayus is full of energy. great guy.
These guys are so fantastic live. They put so much energy and emotion into their performance. I saw them recently in Chicago and every one in the audience was blown away.
It's like Phil Collins and Tv on the Radio had an amazing and original soulful baby. Incredible.
So much Soul, so much feeling, this is music! Young Fathers are huge!! pure Love PURE MAGIC!!!!
Quite underwhelming musically, though. Melody, complexity: zilch.
+Shtwaan E. There's a place for everything, would be boring if everything you looked at was bathed in complexity, it's nice to hear soul and energy too
Just had to find you again lads. Amazing work. Thanks x
One day there will be a million strong voices calling back to these legends.
YES
Only 9,000 views.....honestly deserves 9 million
I'll have me some of what that drummer is smoking.
Young Fathers seem charged with a certain something ....something spiritual yet decadent..
It's called acid
Scottish soul innit
They are so strange and they know it and love it. This is really cool!!!
was cooking dinner one night last year, tv was on in the background, heard a song start playing ......instantly was like " what the HELL IS THAT?" it was "i heard" by Young Fathers....playing during the credits of Ray Donovan. I LOVE finding music like this randomly. never heard of these guys. i'm digging what they do. keep it going fellas
+Eric Dixon same here bud, was watching ray and this song came on and it was i heard.. wow crazy stuff. and know im here..
Same thing happened to me almost exactly
ditto. props to whoever chose that song. dumbluck
This is easily my new favourite band! Amazing performers, beautiful music, smart guys.

Noel Gallaghers Hot Ones Episode bought me here
this band is by far the greatest band i have heard in the last 60 years.iam 73 years of age.i allways knew someone would come along.
Kexp, this is the best live mix i've ever heard. Great band, great sound.
Holy shit these guys are incredible! Hope I'll get the change to seem them live someday.
OMGAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWDDDDDD This band has possess my soul and I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Massive Attack are doing a proper job bringing Young Fathers touring with them. So acccurate and appropriate
I've definitely been converted...
Young Fathers! What a fucking great band! So much power in this music!!
Outfuckingstanding. Selling out European gigs now. Made in Leith.
i immediately connect them to Saul Williams
the white guy looks and behaves quite like Ian Curtis haha!
kinda
He shits all OVER Ian "nazeboi" Curtis. End of.
Won't be tired of them anytime soon and will still love in 20 years or more :) badass badass badass
they are the Scottish TV on the radio and I'm so into it
+Emma LeMay so true.
there's nothing wrong with comparison. their influences show through and TVOTR is one of the greatest bands of all time. first time i listened to these dudes it reminded me of the first time I heard Return to Cookie Mountain. I'm glad these dudes exist.
Couldn't agree with you more
They are miles better than any contemporary American band
Heard these guys at the end of vice news . Had to find out more it was like when I heard nirvana for the 1st time . Different. Just bought tickets to see them in concert can't wait.
oh my.... this shit is raaaaw.. its very tom waits
I'm so happy Danny Boyle believed in these guys.
wicked, great performance. very original sounds
I don't know why but their music makes me really happy and delightful!!!
Very talented band
Come to Brazil
Flucking passion !!!!
I honestly think this guys are really awesome the way they make music together is very cool. even when they play with someone else like Massive attack they still have their own sound which is actually awesome.
#SaveTheShowbox #KEXP #FM #YoungFathers
I can't get enough of these dudes. Totally awesome.
I think i got the same vibes as i get from for instance Massive Attack. Music is bigger than those individuals who make and play it. It is never sordid but deeply human but i doesnt mean it is lame. Far from it... its so much force it could turn your world upside down, and do not forget to mention lyrics.
That scream at the start of Old Rock N Roll is just incredible!!!
Unlike anything...incredible.
The fella in the blue…angel voice boy.♥️
I hope that after a vaccine I can see and hear this harmony about what is wrong ...but seeing and hearing this without being live still makes me feel "oh yes"..I agree. I am so happy this band exists, Obrigada
I know they're promoting the new album but I would've loved if they did Romance.
you made my evening with this session boys !! thank you !
Love it! Great to see, as well as hear them - turned up loud is best I find!
Awesome. Come to Mexico, please.
awesome they picked up where joy division left off in my head anyway
Don't you dare mention that shitstain of a band in the same sentence as these guys
@@End-Result go fuck yourself
This is outstanding. I have to say though, I can hear Arcade Fire here. no bad thing I think.
I also hear their fellow Scots, Mogwai.
Those fucking ads mid-clip!!!
Anyone else hearing Das Racist in here? And the sfx from The Forbidden Planet?
Come to Brazil +1!
CONVERTED!!!
batterist Thom Green from Alt-J suggested them, i am so happy. share the love

Dude in blue shirt looks hella high 👌
What a great set!
Scotland is so proud boys!
I've tried many times to play this video as music while I'm on another page, but it's impossible.
I'm compelled to watch them.
The way they meld together into what sounds like one 'singer' is fascinating.
I guess they've had many years of practice, having grown up together.

Adam and the ants 2017, seriously good.
My Adam and the ants reference is because the drumming reminds me of them back in 1980.
