Marco was singing in finnish. SOITA translates to PLAY.

This was one of Marko's "comeback" songs after he said he quit Nightwish and music scene for awhile. It's from Nov 2021 and it's in Finnish. RUclips doesn't recognise the correct subtitle language. 'Soita' means play and the lyrics go something like "Voices in my head say play, play, PLAY". 🤘
Please do more Marko songs, especially his solo stuff.

This is my makeshift translation. Song lyrics/poetry are hard to translate and my English is what it is. I hope this gives you some kind of an idea about the lyrics.
"Checkered flannel shirt. On the playlist "Come As You Are". A string set under construction. The dude grabs the guitar, looking through the classroom wall. Not a word comes to mind. The rating goes up by a number, the folk candle realizes. (folk candle = teacher)
The siren is ringing, the guitar is ringing. Dad's beeing carried away. The light from the ambulance is reflected on the wall. The dude knows what has to change.
The three rules of the jungle: Don't feel, don't think, you don't exist. Smiley-boy, antidepressant, the heart is spitting out poison.
At home, the medical record is progressing, although the cap (of a bottle of alcohol) and the coffin lid are closed. It took everything, now the dude is a machine. The virtuoso gets stuck inside his head (… Inside his head the mantra, sound, one word, play, play, play, play…) The siren is ringing, the guitar is ringing. Dad's being carried away. The light from the ambulance is reflected on the wall. The dude knows everything has to change"
Mika Jakkola suffers from focal dystonia, spasms, as a result of playing the guitar for decades.
The tense repetive movement is the cause I guess. Wind instrumentalist can have the same problem on the face. Sportsmen can have spasms as well. Where in their body depends on the sport. Mika had to learn a new way to play, lap steel guitar.

Good to see Chill E Dog. Haven’t seen or heard this song before. It’s definitely something else. I like everything Marko does, he is an amazing musician.

He was not singing in Spanish 😂 but I know many people who don’t understand Finnish and Spanish, say that they sound the same ❤ but they are not even closely related languages 😅

MIka Jaakkola (guitarist) has health concerns and can no longer play a normal guitar. So he learned another way to play the guitar in order to pursue a career as a musician...
Marko sang in Finnish. The name of the song "SOITA" can mean two different things in Finnish and both of them are used here. One is to play an instrument and the other is to make a phone call. A large part of the song is related to playing the instrument, but the rest of the lyrics talk about calling an ambulance and taking the father to the hospital. Who apparently might have some kind of mental problem... I guess this opens up Marko's performance in the song?

Thank you for the explanation. I love Marko and I love to hear him sing in Finnish, even though I don’t understand a word. It’s just such a beautiful language.

During the Denver 2021 concert (where they played for an amazing 2-12 hours) some of the band were drinking some " refreshments." Joakim, drinking beer, took a sip and pulled back asking where they got the moonshine. Tommy said from a town north of Falun where they are from. He then explained to the crowd that Swedish rednecks are from the north.

Love this song, have been listening to it since it came out. Don't understand any of it but who needs to when it's this good.
Marko has some amazing non Nightwish stuff, his voice is so unique.

Marko is the King! He is doing his own stuff now and these different feats./combos. He just gave a "serious" warning to all his female fans, that he is happily married and have a baby.

Love that slideguitar👍and Marko’s voice is so powerfull❤️ Lovely to see you without that cap, Crissy, love your hair like that! I’ve been wondering who you remind me of and now seeing you like this i know. Seems like you have a lookalike over here in the Netherlands. She’s a Dutch singer by the name of Manuela Kemp and, in my opinion, by the looks could easely be your sister. Here’s a video of her doing a Beatles song in some kind of tributen concert, i guess. ruclips.net/video/nF8yHy3h3nA/видео.html👋👋

Yeah, the translation was auto-generated. I guess Finnish sounds more like Spanish than any other language that the system "knows".

Brilliant. Marko was gettin down. Don't care about the lyrics, it sounds great regardless. Marko is so versatile, like Floor, he can sing various genre's and it's always good. Marko even won on "The Masked Singer" Finnish version music show. So much talent.
