😂😂😂😂 that old led strip didn’t have a chance. I didn’t expect it to be THAT much brighter tho I’d say the LIFX is definitely 3 times better than the older on in price lol also was an extra meter in length. I just ordered a connector extension for the last drop to go on the back of my charging station 😏😏😏 very happy with it and probably will buy more too 😭😂😭😫😫😫
William Nevius I would get some for my pc but I feel like there’s better options so I’ll prob get some for my bed tv and desk but that’s a lot of cash to spend on some lights 😂

Yess I think its worth $100, what sold me was the theme you can choose and the effects!! The voice control is also what sold me! The only con is the price, but that's why we have wishlist for lol.

I totally agree! ahah. Yes I love the Miami color vibes as well! This is the best smart LED light strip on the market in my option but it is pricy. Yes we are both stuck working from home. What a crazy time. I hope you Mark and the Family are doing well with all thats going on around us. Can't wait to get back to regular life and travel. Thanks so much for your comment Kim.

a question..i want to install this in a new houses but im scared if I need to remove if after a few months it will damage the surface once its on?
What type of surface are you looking to place on? Some 3M sticky can damage the paint. You can Also get replacement 3M sticky if you need to switch positions of the LED strip that’s works fine. I’ve switched one LEDs out with no problems

@@brownpunk1794 it won’t do much damage removing it maybe take off a few pieces of paint but trust you won’t have much to worry about. For longer led strips I’d recommend Govee ones cuz it’ll be cheaper than these to go around good amount of distances

Hi Jorge! Definitely think these would be great under a kitchen cabinet. With this LIFX strip you have the ability to customize your white color from warmer orange 1600K candlelight to a cooler 9000k pure white. Since you're going under your cabinets you may need an extension cable. amzn.to/34zydND
I am using this to extended a strip on another surface and it works great. Just note you're limited to only 1 meter of extension cable between each strip for it to work. My lifx strip is much brighter than my hue strip and longer for 20 bucks more and not needing a hub. also you can blend colors on a single strip with lifx but hue has only 1 color at a time. Hows the HomeKit integration?
HomeKit works good with this light strip. Just make sure you have a device to act as a hub in your home for remote access.

Is it possible to animate the lifx strips like you can with the govee ones? I’m thinking about the effect where you make the lights «shoot» fast paced through the strips.
Yes and no lol with LIFX you can setup up themes which they have presets which are gradients of colors throughout the strip. Then they have effects. With the effects you can make the gradient move thru the strip to achieve the shooting effect. They have 10 effects tho plus music sync modes. So in this case to make the shooting lights you would need to customize the strip with parts of white and black (black meaning off) light in the paint mode” paint mode” then go to an effect called move to achieve this.
LIFX strips are good because they’re brighter than govee. I use them at less than 50% tho (govee is bright too) and come in 2Meter segments so you can buy extensions to space them. To get under glow.. This is good so you don’t have to cut and solider which govee doesn’t recommend.
Govee are good because you can get them cheaper, they have better connection (uses Bluetooth and WiFi) so no need to worry about going off line. Govee also has a lot more built in scenes to make the strip do cool effects if that’s your thing.
Depending on your use if you want to attach the strip in parts with no lights in the middle LIFX may be the better option but if you want a lot of one button scene modes govee will do the job.

Great video! One question: Do you always need to reconnect to the wifi? Or will it stay as is?
Once connected you’re good to go!! When my power goes out and router the LIFX led strips reconnects automatically once my internet gets back up. Great product and still my favorite LED strips as I have a few...check out my channel page to see more led lights video. But I highly recommend these.
One question how long is the starter kit for the Lifx led strip
It’s 2 meters long for the kit. 2 1 meter strips. Bestbuy also sells a 3 meter kit for 90 bucks. Theses the best bang for buck.

but my question is, is there any led strip that stays on for practically any time you want it to that you’d recommend that is like lifx or govee dream color? Because mine stay on for as long as I want them to but they don’t have as much illumination to them as lifx does and it has no app. And I almost forgot to add that I’d like a recommendation like this but I’d also like to change to multiple colors at a time. (Mine is hue, and cannot change to multiple colors at one time)
Something not too expensive with multi colors I’d say govee dream color rgbic strips could get 32 feet for 35 bucks and can be controlled with app and my favorite which is voice with Alexa or google. You can also set timers so it goes off automatically and cuts on as well best bang for buck strip out there with good features. Love that you can have different colors all at once.

You can get extenders of LEDs and they have wire extenders too. Think it can be a total of 10 meters

Lifx is literally better then philips hue in every way.. I have tested myself and watched endless videos of showing it’s way brighter then philips hue comparing each of the same items, it’s cheaper and does wayyyyyyy more stuff then philips.. the only downside is that lifx doesn’t have a vas amount of lifx products… philips hue just spends way more money on advertising it’s products then lifx and that’s why it’s more know.. but I promise people that try lifx will be blown away how underrated they are.. to get the same strip that lifx has for now 80 bucks at 120 inches and does multitasking such as using more then one color per strip.. you would have to spend 200 plus for philips hue strips to do the same with an ever shorter strip of only 80 inches
I agree 1000% with lifx being better than hue! Lifx is underrated and was my favorite LED strip due to brightness, multiple colors on a strip and valve for money! Lifx can sometimes be a pain to connect. BUT I just did a review on the COlOLight Strip and man this LED strip has blown me away! Each LED on the Strip is addressable and can be any color,,,,, And the price for the cololight strip is cheaper than lifx!

@@WilliamNevius at first yes the stuff was very hard to hook up … I’m not going to lie .. but with all things doing it over and over it gets easier with each attempt . My first bulb took me almost two hours to set up .. I’m now ten bulbs in three strips into the ecosystem and it takes me about 1 minute to connect each item ❤️❤️

I got the one from Best Buy which cancer with 3 meters for 100 bucks. The 2 meters for 90 is good too. But if you can get an extra meter for 10bucks...🧐🧐 lol I love this LED strip!!! Especially having multiple colors in one strip!
