Great video, informative and looks absolutely superb. I thought I was watching a channel with 1M+ subscribers. RUclips needs to get their shit together to push channels like this one too and not just the high sub ones.. I mean I get it; that's how the money machine works, but there are so many amazing channels like this one that never get proper exposure, all in the name of directing more attention to channels that already get waaaay more than enough attention...

Do you mean being me? I use an LED par can shinning up the wall. It's great for filling a big space and they are cheap.

Sometimes you have to pay for quality. You could go cheaper but they break and you have to pay again to replace. Most of the time cheap led cost you more in the long run

i'm not sure paying 150 usd for a 10usd led strip and a 5usd plastic channel...
and call it quality is what i'd say
You could just get an addressable led rgb strip from aliexpress for 10 usd for 4, 5 m...
then a channel for it with difusing for another 10 or so,, and ur getting the same thing more or less for 20 usd
the 150 usd is only for people who are made of money
I dont see any other reason why it would be worth it
it's like buying a gold plated knife for 250usd when a good one for 2usd would be amazing and do the trick
I have recently bought a Phillips Hue GU10 starter kit and I am keen to get some kind of LED strips to accompany these bulbs.
Do I purchase the Phillips Hue LightStrip Plus or go for a cheaper alternative?
I’d personally like to not have to flick amongst loads of different apps to control my lights!

yeah thats basically what i was going to say @accurxte. You should be able to head to The Home Depot or something like that and they sell light rails you can buy with diffusion on the front.
Thank God for this video… this was the hardest topic to research… “light strips with movement” “beam” “motion” “pulsing”…. Someone in that industry needs to coin the most self explanatory name for these… like FlowLights… or BeamLight… something…

I don't see LED strips but the light up your corner pretty nicely.
In fact the entire room looks so nice.

What's better Govee RGBIC Light Strip or Lifx? I read a lot of reviews saything Lifx always disconnects from the device (phone) and that you need to constantly have the app open on your phone for the lighting to work?
I have only used LIFX and i've had no problems with it. I think maybe some of those issues might have been early in the game, but now it works like a treat. I've never had a drop out or anything and i have used the lights every day for a year.

Do you have to connect all 6 beams together or can then be separated into say for example 3 beams connected in one area of my room and the other 3 beams connected in a different area of my room and still be controlled through the app?
They have to all be connected as the power flows throw each beam to the next beam. They use magnets to connect each beam.
Hey Nick. Great video. I'm thinking of buying the Beam to light some shelving but don't need the full length. Does it work if you only use a few of the beams. I was hoping to use some of the beams on a shelf and then use the rest on a wall (by buying an additional power pack). Can you attach the power cord to any of the beams or just one?

Hey Chris, yeah you can use the power on any of the Beams. So I guess if you bough another power pack you could light the rest of the beams as well. That's a good idea I hadn't thought of that.. You would then set up the second power cord as a second light in the app that could create a cool look. Let me know how you go, would love to see pic's ;)

i love christmas light very neutral colors but i wanted to know which lights do not cause migraines or headaches while playing video games because i do not like bright flashy colors at all . ? christmas or led neutral lights
The great thing is you can choose what colours the lights are and how bright they are. So they should be good for you to use.
