One of the most beautiful melodies ever written.
I was surprised to hear him sing the song in Japanese. What a great way to honor Kyu Sakamoto.
I love him
I'm half Japanese and a huge jazz fan and I've got to say that I'm impressed by his pronunciation and rendition! Bravo, sir! 👏
Well yes, but the could have made an effort to say Ue o Muite Arukō in the title. It is not that hard.
Nick does a fantastic job with the band! The Japanese girls from Tamana High School were in the audience. They absolutely loved it!
I've heard many different English translations of this song what is he actually saying
Im American and I must say, you type English nicely.
@@Ricobaca, I am, too! Born, raised and live in California.
His Japanese pronunciation is perfect!!!!
Amazing!!!!

Great!
I’m bilingual Japanese. His Japanese pronunciation is nearly perfect. If I only heard the audio I wouldn’t doubt it if you told me it was a Japanese singer. A slight tell at the end, where I notice he uses a R sound instead of a L sound in the word “hitori“, but that’s me looking for something to nitpick. Very impressive.
Luv that people around the world covered this beautiful song
Glenn Miller, still rocking it! Beautifull arrangement of a true Masterpiece. Music transcends all barriers and unites us all.
Listening to this skipping down the street, everyone thinks I'm mental and I'm no caring
beautiful...

Great rendition.

Good old humans. Works on so many levels..
Beautifully sung!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you !
Vaya voz tan hermosa!!!!! 💐💐💐
His Japanese is very good!
Outstanding! Terrific performance! Aloha from Hawaii!
Saudades! Muito emocionante!!! Nostalgia!!! 🥰
Just so beautiful ❤️
Actually a very beautiful song and no one will ever sing it as pure as sukiyaki ❤🇬🇧😎
❤❤
Si Zentner's band had a great arrangement of this tune from the 60's
Pronunciation is perfect !
They covered this because they knew the Tamana Girls would be in the audience, didn't they? That'd be a class act if they did.
Yes, I believe they did!
So glad he sang it in Japanese!!!..
Who is this singer? He is great!!

👏✨👏✨👏✨👏✨👏
I was actually anticipating him doing the whistling part more than singing the song in actual Japanese. But oh well, it was a still a good cover piece nonetheless. 👍
Good but Kyu Sakamoto Immortalized that song and without the whistling it just not close to being the same. But good job!

GLENN MILLER BAND ??? WHAT ?? WHEN
I'm not sure I understand your comment/question. This is from June 9, 2017, the Glenn Miller Festival in Clarinda, Iowa. The band is the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra (all of this was explained in the video description). So, what exactly is your question?
His Japanese?!?!😳😳😳
How long ago was this?

Not possible. Glenn Miller died December 1944 along with his band members. They disappeared and were never found.
Glenn died on December 15, 1944, however his band members did not. You need to read Dennis Spragg's book "Glenn Miller Declassified" if you want the real truth. I'm not sure why you have this comment on this particular song. What exactly is "not possible"?????
Is this guy only using fffking vowels 😂
