This story truly touched my heart. Ming’s journey reminds us that life’s detours can often lead to unexpected beauty. Her resilience, sacrifice, and love for her family turned what seemed like an ending into a powerful new beginning. The way she rediscovered her passion for music and used it to inspire others is a lesson in hope, strength, and the importance of never giving up on what makes our hearts sing.
How heartwarming. I have been there 50 years ago when I was challenged to play Sonatina No. 20 for Schubert, at the age of 25. I played for the church congregation and played from my heart earning applause I needed so much to reclaim my confidence. I did and my world changed leading me to play for small audiences. I cried from this video clip
It’s truly beautiful how music has the power to heal, uplift, and transform our lives. Playing from the heart, just as you did, creates connections that go beyond the notes.
I have seen these kinds of stories throughout my years of teaching music and voice. Some youth who had so much talent and passion to succeed. Some felt like they were forced to walk away from it, or they were very often discouraged by friends and family. I had some tell me later on that the feeling of regret runs very deep, wishing they had followed their heart and their dream.
What an awesome story. It took me away from all the hardships and violence that is all over the internet and life in general. Thankyou so much for taking me away into dreams of happiness. It may have been a short period of time. But a priceless period.
I focused on the message only and really enjoyed this. I was fortunate long time ago to get a musical instrument that others with the same instrument had played at Carnegie Hall. At the start thought maybe that could be me one day but life's reality and demands changed that vision over time and now in retirement life comes again with many more demands, conditions and distractions. Found this inspiring and will try and get back to where I wanna belong regardless. Had the privilege of meeting in person one pioneer in this music genre who won the world championship at a young age and was impressed with his humbleness. Never forgot his words to me at that time (has passed now) learn how to play from the heart, and learn how to play in the now.
Learning how to play from the heart is true, BUT learning to play music that makes you, you is also true. I have created many pieces of my own, but my playing abilities did not copy that which was in my mind, and I lost confidence. Learning from others can help overcome a lack of confidence. All we have to do is take the chance.
It’s amazing how life may take us on unexpected paths, yet the love for music never truly fades. The words you shared-‘play from the heart, and play in the now’-are such a powerful reminder to embrace the present and reconnect with what truly brings us joy. I hope you find your way back to where you belong, and may the music always lead you forward.
The musician's name was Chopin pronounced as "Showpan". He was superb, and the young lady, in this story, did a great job with His music. Wonderful reaction to her, when it ended.
I was captivated totally unexpectedly by this story. Not one sentence felt out of place and I was born along on its current to the hopefulbgentle shores of the conclusion, showing loss and hardship can lead to a dream transforming into a richer life enhancing outcome. Full marks 👍🌟
This story is about each and every one of us; about taking advantage of opportunities when they come round, and following our dreams... always following our dreams and being the gift that we are.
I am truly glad my instincts led me to scroll forward to realize there was not a single moving picture in this video. I would never see this young protagonist play the piano. And was this video short? No. It was pretty long. So, what did I do? Changed the channel.
hearing the AI speaker on this almost led me to just terminate this video and go to another. Almost. What a lovely story. I can only hope it was true. I have wanted to play the piano for as long as I can remember. My grandmother had a grand in her front Parlor and practiced on it for several hours a day. When I was little, I would hear her warming up and would run up the front steps of that old San Francisco Victorian, through the tall front doors (often leaving them open) and run into the front Parlor to dive under the piano for, what I thought, was the best seat in the house! Grandmother died when I was five or six. I never understood until I was ten that she had actually died. All the same, her practice sessions of beautiful music that had lulled me to sleep so many times instilled a love of music in me. Also a desire to play the Piano. My parents wouldn't hear of it and Pianos are a very expensive instrument. I finally did learn to play as an adult. However, many things get in the way and I had to give it up. I have regretted it ever since. Even now, sixty-three years after she last played ebb tide for me, I can still her her version of it in my memory.
Lmao. I read the comments before posting and the story was great and brought tears to my eyes but I agree on the narrator it’s either AI or someone who doesn’t know any music
It is amazing that we humans often fail to applaud the good of a story: overcoming difficulties/trials, but find resounding fault with mispronunciations. Yes, improvements should be made there, but what about the moral of the narrative; is it not more important? Hmmm?🌺💕🥰
Ladies and gentlemen, you've just listened to a narration of something the world of AI has in store for all of us. The mispronunciations during the beautiful story were because the robotic voice wasn't familiar with the particular words. It was like watching a movie which had some poorly acted moments but, overall, it was still a good movie and enjoyable to watch. So was this story. Many people will complain about the errors in pronunciation but, overall, it was a nice story and held our attention to the end.
Good story with a few mispronounced words and phrases. I've played piano & organ since I was 5 1/2 years old. I'm 73 now. A rusty player but still have fun once in a while 🙂
Good story but why confine the music to classical music? All music can bring joy and sharing to others. I returned to playing piano, simple chording and popular standards, at 64 and I am now 84 and still enjoying it.
If classical music is confining, then so is only liking country music, or only liking jazz, or only liking heavy metal. But world class musicans play classical because somebody has to or it will NEVER get heard tnhanks to the fickle mind controil media listening for the cash register to ring.. Same for Duke Ellington , Gershwin or East Indian music, etc.
The voice quality is very good, but I’m quite certain that it’s a bot. The mispronunciation and inability to comprehend the syntax, required in order to intonate correctly, can only mean one thing: bot.
Your notation of "Offering champagne and hoarders" That should be "hors d'oeuvres" not hoarders. It is also noted that at 27:24 that you used the "restable", and I think you meant recital. Around 30:26 you use the word 'sap" when I think you mean "sat" Uh, There is an horrendous humongous need for you to re-proof not only the script for the video bur also for the transcript.
Good grief what is the purpose of this absurd and badly narrated story. To play the Nocturne would be infinitely more worthy of the time taken to make this silly kitsch story
Nice story. Please ask the developers to listen to the narration. No attention to the accuracy. Is it AI-generated? There are many inexcusable mispronunciations. Also, edit the transcription of the narration.
After reading more than a few comments on this "story", I am appalled at the cluelessness of all but a handful of people who did not see the "story" for what it truly was: A shoddy (mispronounced), formulaic, paint-by-the-numbers, treacly melodrama. If this is a representative example, then storytelling and literature as a whole are both safe from any threat from AI for the foreseeable future. And thank God for that!
And, finally, I cannot let this slide: The villainous millionaire is a crude caricature of a wealthy "moneybags", straight out "MONOPOLY", sans the monocle and mustache. So much for nuanced storytelling!
The story was, oh so bad, on so many levels! What can you expect from a story that calls the composer CHOPPING, as in "chopping broccoli" (See Dana Carvey- Saturday Nite Live)
Who's 'Choppin' !! It makes for a 'heart strings yarn but if she had not played for 'ten years' it would not have been much of a performance. Concert pianists practice six hours a day just to maintain a high standard. And what's a bass note? It would have been better to have heard at least a bit of the music.
A beautiful story. Well written. I enjoy all the stories you produce. But some mispronunciations destroy the illusion that a human is reading to me - not an AI reader. As in the last story. -Choppin and recital. Please proof read.
"Choppin'" ?!? "Chopin" is pronounced "show-PAN" - it's FRENCH, for God's sake. And the piece she played was his Nocturne NUMBER 20 in C-Sharp Minor . . God !! Get a narrator who knows how to pronounce words correctly.
The sisters in these stories always need medical treatment and the mothers always need medication...it never fails. Oh and the designer heels always click on the floor.
Too bad the text to speech program is just TERRIBLE. How many times did it say "Chop- in" instead of "Show pan" and then "de-bus-ee" instead of "de-beau-sea" and many other errors as well.
Beautiful story - mispronouncing Chopin and recital were among the glaring errors. I can’t believe whoever created the story didn’t have someone check the pronunciations first. Reminded me of the movie The Pianist when Adrian Brody‘s character was caught by a Nazi captain, trying to play a piano in a bombed out building and TOLD to continue playing. Scared, he slowly played a piece by Chopin - nocturne in C-sharp minor No. 20.
Yeah. I agree. Chopin is not spelled with two p's. And it is not pronounced like choppin wood. And he could not pronounce bass correctly either. It is not bass like the fish, but rather like bass guitar. How stupid.
Mr Narrator. please learn to pronounce the Musicians and composer's names so that you sound like you know something about music. You have a good voice and narration skills, so perfect yourself and learn about your subjects.
Whenever I hear a story read like this I think it must be done by a computer with those classic mispronunciations. I wonder if it is even a real story. If it was, full and researchable names would be used. Is this an AI story? The photo used doesn't match with a girl named Ming which would usually be Chinese. I don't mind a good fiction story. I do mind a fiction story parading as factual.
Lovely story but why was this released with all the errors made by the narration? The story was about music and so many common words associated with music were mispronounced like Chopin, recital, and others and many also mispelled in the captions like penis for pianist and Chattoo instead of the wine , Chateau Margo i was hoping to listen to a bit of the Chopin music also.
Please. Anyone reading a story about. a classical musician should know how to pronounce the composer's names...it seemed that the reader was very mechanical and truly had no special connection with classical music. It was flat. Because of my interest in classical music and in audio reading I listened all the way through. Start by listening to some music by Chopin, Debussy, Schubert, Beethoven. See if it moves you. If you really listen, you might be changed forever! This music should hav been used in the recording.
