This is what my father chose for his funeral. My brother refused because it was 'too sad'. I also choose it for my funeral but I guess he'll be playing Michael Jackson instead.

The word Scoti (or Scotti) was first used by the Romans. It is found in Latin texts from the 4th century describing an Irish group which raided Roman Britain. It came to be applied to all the Gaels. It is not believed that any Gaelic groups called themselves Scoti in ancient times, except when writing in Latin.
Whoever wrote that piece must have really really loved, deeply, truly

The first time I ever heard this track was the Bob James version on the Robbie Vincent Radio London show. This version is amazing too. Such emotion.
This is so amazing, so emotional, just like a poem turned into a melody.
Lovely to watch and to hear this beautiful song, which I've heard before, but I think this is such a wonderful version.

Simply beautiful. Thank you so much X
Beautiful
I love The Chieftains, and their rendition is the first I heard (in Barry Lyndon). I think this is a superior version (no arguments; it's just, like, my opinion, man). Fewer instruments, no 'lush' sound, no whistles--just a quiet, wistful arrangement.
😊
Very much its equal.
Divine.
damn, i just fell in love ;)
