Unlike JANG, don’t you get these for free from Lego? How do you stay impartial and unbiased??
@@Av-vd3wkmany reviewers are getting sets from Lego and most are very clear to acknowledge that so if that bothers you why not find someone else to watch. That said I'd say he gives a pretty fair review. He's both praised and been critical. It's not li,e he gushes about every set😂
What happened to the Concord review which I'm pretty sure you referenced in the last video? It's getting bumped by a number of sets?
@@Av-vd3wk its a gag that every youtube channel about lego get it for free and we have to pay 650 for it. sorry no
Next one in the pipeline!
Finally a Star Wars iconic ship I can offer myself! Talking about the nano gunship build of course
The gunships isn't nano... it's avarage or maybe even big at best
@@Qoobon_ sorry, let me correct that: the pico, maybe even phemto gunship
@@Qoobon_
"Technically ☝️🤓"
@@Qoobon_ he’s talking about the little one in the side bay.
1:47 nice of the in universe painters to tell the enemy which ship to attack first :D
Great set and I love all the grebeling.
Ahaha great point lol
The Red Baron painted his airplane red during WWI. People knew who they would be messing with. :)
it’s a fleet command ship so ig it wouldn’t be left on its own? like thats how carrier strike groups work
That’s immediately what I thought when he mentioned that detail!
You have no idea how happy you made me.. when you said, "Kama" and not "skirt" for Rex!!!! Well worth the opening of the OG fig.
I did my research! Thanks Shy!
Isn't it still a skirt tho? It would be like calling a "boot" a 'shoe'.
Of course! I’m a casual SW fan so I’m not familiar with the technical names of every little detail of the SW uniforms of thousands of different characters and so, I always research the topics of the sets I’m reviewing.
That goes for SW stuff, vikings, insects, car brands, Japanese monuments, American movies, K pop music groups etc, just to name a few of the last reviews I did were I went to Google for a few hours to get everything little detail right for these videos :)
The lack of interior is particularly sad, given that they modeled the Clone Wars Venator. For those not familiar with the ship from the show, that long red stripe across the top. That’s not just a stripe. Those are two massive hanger doors. The difference between the Venator and the Imperial Star Destroyer is the ISD is a Battleship. The Venator is an Aircraft Carrier. It has a full length flight deck and hanger space beneath that stripe. Which then connects to the side hanger doors and the bottom one. It would have been so nice to give us a mechanism where you twist one of the engines and the hanger slides open revealing all the detail underneath.
The fact that the hangar bay, which is the literal open length of the ship doesn't open is an utter deal breaker. After maybe the double bridge design, it's the singular defining part of what makes a Venator a Venator
That's what I was really hoping to see, an openable hanger with a bunch of micro scale ships to go in it would have made this a top tier playset.
@@Ambidextrometer it's not a playtest. Wrong series bro
Sure if you want to pay much more and have much higher piece count ok.
But I kinda don't care about a open hanger which I and you won't use anyway. It's a display stand.
3:59 the “I personally don’t see it” had me dying 💀
Definitely agree about the UCS Razorcrest. Additional characters, and a fully accessible interior I feel make all the difference here. Still this has been a very long awaited release and update so if money, and space isn't an issue for most fans it's sure to do very well despite the price.
Fantastic review as always Tiago! I’m still astonished that LEGO chose to make a UCS Venator, and the build looks stunning! 🔥
Tiago never disappoints. This set looks epic!
But c'mon stickers in such an expensive set. I'm sure Lego could print those pieces without a loss and it would look waaaay better
@@jekro1yeah that, the lack of interior, the figures is a massive L
Thank you for including AUD. I try not to have favourite lego reviewers, but that and your short video length is always appreciated.
Thank you for that :) I'll try to do it as much as possible going forward!
Agreed. Great reviews mate and thanks for putting in dollarydoos.
7:10 I’m glad you brought up the Razor Crest here. That’s definitely more my style of UCS set because it has a full interior & everything. While the Venator is a cool display model, the Razor Crest just has so much more play value that I can appreciate a lot more that this model doesn’t have & that makes all the difference for me personally, especially when buying a set this expensive. That’s why the Galaxy Explorer was my favorite set of last year. Sure it was an 18+ set, but it had a lot of additional play value which I could have fun with unlike some other 18+ sets which are essentially static statues.
There’s around 38 UCS Sets. 3 of which have full interiors.
Your reviews always help to decide whether or not to be these sets.
I wish it had an interior
I saw people complain about the hangar now being there, but stability would be greately sacrificed, and You dont want to see your venator fall apart easily.
Also this is not a playset, not like you will play around with it too much. The imperial star destroyer didnt have it too.
The model is amazing, adn while things (like rex) arent perfect, its far better than many past UCS.
I wish a 650$ set didn't have cheap stickers
And when were you ever gonna use it. I'm sorry but interiors are only good for play, not display.
@@beenthroughnam3747"650$ sEt tHiS, 650$ sEt tHaT" then don't buy it.
Theses sets almost never do
POV tiago the only lego reviewer you watch
Hi sacred I'm a big fan
i do agree, i would love a small scale version of this ship, like the SSD from May
Thanks for the unbiased review. People who like it will still buy it but it's nice to hear your real thoughts.
Appreciate that!
Okay but honest and reasonable complaint, but the central hanger not opening up to detailed hanger was huge missed opportunity and one of coolest features of what made the ship so iconic 😭 everyone complaining about figures but I haven’t seen any one bring this up.
Ohh no.. Anyway
I just finished this, it was a blast to build and as a new Lego guy, I love it. My first was the Razor Crest and it’s absolutely incredible but was a difficult build!
That engine sag is brutal for $650. And also stickers…
Great review Tiago, thank you!
You could make a ton of micro ships and use transparent pieces make it look like they're mid-dog fight, and use trans orange studs and plates to make it look like the Flagship is being blasted too
I love the larger ucs sets should it is harder to display but it looks amazing! Everyone I show my lego collection to is blown away I have the UCS Millennium Falcon and the USC Star destroyer just to name a few! The larger sets are my favorite to collect I know they are more expensive but for the price its an excellent deal in my opinion. I really love what Lego has been doing over the last 5 years!
Looks fantastic awsome review
The engine droop is so obvious when seen in the thumbnail, yikes. There should be some sort of optional stabilizer bracket that can be attached for display to keep them flat.
Definitely gonna be doing some custimizations. I want it to come off that stand. And looks like theres lots of space in there for me to add my own interior
See if it can fly.
its so big! I love the venator so much
Dang, no interior and a poor price per piece count makes it hard to justify. I’ve been saving for this one, but now I’m not sure 🤔
my christmas present to myself along with the concord
You, MandR, Solid Brix Studios, Bricksie, MiniSuperHeroesToday and Austrian Brick Fan all pretty much just released your reviews for this set at like the exact same time! 🤣😂🤩
Bound to happen with review embargoes in place :)
Yea that’s how it works
And everybody wants to be first.
Great review as usual! Short and concise. Just wondering why the 4K option isn’t appearing ? Definitely noticed the difference between this and the other uploads
I recorded the whole build of the set in 1080p and when I went to record the review I forgot to change the settings 🤦♂️
Dang the Clone wars was 20 years ago already? Man I feel old. Return of the Jedi was only 5 years old when I was born.
Pretty cool set though!
The only thing that disappointed me here is the engines sagging. Thats the only part that feels super cheap to me and it shouldve been fixed.
Tell me how would you fix it though
@@Qoobon_ maybe have some clips and clip it to the side of the ship
@@Lukedubno just be happy in what we got I bet your not even getting it
@@Jxsusssss I'm very happy with it. I think it's super great! The engines sagging is only a mild thing but even then it's not even a sure thing either. Like some people don't seem to have that problem
@@LukedubThere are actually clips on the side of the engine that clip onto the main body itself, reducing the sag. But the very tip of the longest engine still sags a tiny bit, but not much. I don't think Lego couldn't have done it any better. It still looks amazing
liked for the rex comparison others wouldn`t do that
goodbye $150... 🥲
We appreciate your review. Keep working hard.
Thank you! Will do!
The perfect Rex would be the new one with the old torso piece and the waist cape from 2013
Wow very beautiful
So happy to get the mandalorian ship at 30% off at lego for black friday
I'll never understand how there can be stickers in a hugely expensive set like this. Especially since there aren't that many, would prints be too much to ask for?
Other than that, I think it looks great. That said, I kinda wonder if it wouldn't have been better if this had been smaller, and about half the price. I can't help but feel this ship is not nearly as iconic as the other truly big sets, and apparently Lego only once did a Venator before, all the way back in 2009? At this size and price, it's only for the most hardcore of fans.
What is the problem with those stickers? They work fine for me.
@@sablatnic8030 Well, if you prefer stickers over prints, be my guest. But in a €650 set, could they at least try to make the color of the sticker match the plastic?
@@WizardOfOss Ok, it is the mismatch of colours - I haven't noticed, could be because I'm colour blind. I am, honestly, cannot get a pilot's license for the same reason.
@@sablatnic8030O wow, even when just talking about Lego that must be quite the challenge...even I often have trouble telling some Lego colors apart 😅
As for stickers, it's not only the color mismatch (which could be solved by clear backed stickers), but prints just feel better quality to me. Most of the prints of my childhood sets from the 80s are still fine, while some stickers of much more recent sets already start to peel. And I bet I'm not the only builder that, no matter how experienced, messes up a sticker every once in a while....
While forgivable on a decently priced kids toy, I think Lego should have higher standards for very expensive collectors item like this.
@@WizardOfOss If it is a large sticker, or a tiny one, try washing the lego with some water with a few drops dish soap, and when stilll wet apply the sticker. Then you can push the sticker around till it is perfect, and press the water out from under it to make it stick.
Tiago makes the best content
I love Tiago, but I feel like it’s not reviewed until Jang does it.
I do like how Tiago’s reviews are spoiler free but on sets that I’m literally never going to pick up Jang’s comprehensive reviews really help me learn how the build.
@TiagoCatarino, what is more fun to build - The Venator or Razor Crest
I hope they do a midi-scale Venator in the syle of the Nebulon-b and Executor
Personally I wish it was in scale with the ucs star destroyer, both so one could make a size accurate fleet and because there’s no space for both of them.
I wish Rex had a double sided head because the current print is only accurate to one full episode
I reckon u should compare it with the imperial one but not razor as they are not the same type of ship
"For the sake of this video I decided to put together my brand new one..."
Ok! Pretty good start!
"...from 10 years ago."
Oh...
But how well does it venate?
I will never be able to look at a venator without saying to myself:
Begun, the clone wars has
How can you stop the engines from sagging over time? Glue? Tie them with something to hold them in place? What does anyone who knows about other UCS sets that sag recommend about this problem?
3:15, love that you mention the symbol is from the open circle fleet. Most people just think it’s the republic symbol 😅
Very impressed by your knowledge of the lore here
Something I wasn’t aware prior to this review. But I do my research :)
@@TiagoCatarino And its those little details that we love and impress us so much! Thanks for all your hard work and another great review!
In the midst of all of the negativity that means a lot! Thank you ❤️
That makes Tiago far better reviewer than others, as he did research first on the lego models they based on. haha i still remember your BTS sets review- u can name all the BTS members XD
Tiago is the go to LEGO reviewer for me, hope your channel grows bigger
God it looks incredible!
I just can't look at sets like this without getting excited about checking out the interior, it's half the fun for me. Probably not the most suitable set for an interior anyway, but I think it's a shame. Even if I had the money I'd probably pick another set instead, the razor crest maybe
I’m looking for display cases for my Lego clone drop ship and the Venator. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I think the UCS super star destroyer looks more impressing but I like the build of this one. Looks sturdy
I'm just happy with the amount of open space in the back sides of the model. Some plating and a little bit a structural support, and I could build some cool comms rooms and armouries in them.
This set is so cool
the only problem I have is the lack of waist cape on capitan rex but other than that its perfect
Suggestion for the channel, maybe place a Minifigure next to every set you build and review so that we can understand the size through the comparison of both objects
Maybe it can be a Minifigure of yourself, that be kind of funny
I really want them to build a smaller version that’s both affordable and displayable.
Getting a few to display as a fleet
This is the first ever UCS set I’ve been truly sad to not be able to afford. One day. One day…
Having a single bridge is based, venator for life
Impressive but so big. Rex being an exclusive hurts to me.
I’d love to see this ship made smaller like they did with the Super Star Destroyer set from earlier this year.
This is some good space ship
Could you please do the lego art amazing spiderman set next?
I'm afraid it will be the Concorde next! Sorry!
Merci pour la review
Man Im glad they made the ship from star the clone wars wars
Here is how this could have been perfect and it would have been so simple.
1st: price should be $599.99.
2nd: box art should have had Clone wars source references, not ROTS.
3rd: color swappable extra pieces for the bridge.
4th: 0 stickers.
5th: Rex should have had a cloth waistcape for $650.
If all that was implemented it would have been perfect imo.
The set number is a hint to Rex, 75367 without the 3. Think about it
Oh wow I’m early and haven’t watched yet, but it looks like a cool set.
@TiagoCatarino Technical question ... for the paneling is it held down with ball joints with studs on the super structure like the star destroyer or did they do something else like use pins to hold it all together. On the ISD there was a section for the top bridge area that litterally just slots into a plate with a hole in it using a single smooth rod protruding from a couple of technic pieces but it was anything but secure. Are the paneling connections on this better than those?
The panels are very well secure with ball joints at the place where they hinge, and then locked somewhere else so it doesn't move. The big red stripe is only held by 2 clip plates, but that section is somewhat heavy so it won't go anywhere
@@TiagoCatarino Thank you for the info, ill probs be adding this one to my collection then.
For $650, I was really hoping the engines wouldn’t sag so much. Feels somewhat unprofessional.
At 2:45 you lay down the plate onto the ship. Are the plates loose, just like the UCS Falcon? Or are they generally stuck with small ball-joints like in the UCS Star Destroyer? Given that I'm considering displaying it on a wall, like I did with my Star Destroyer, I'm curious to know!
Ball joints! I just laid them down to explain my point more clearly
@@TiagoCatarino awesome! Thanks for the response :)

Ahah indeed!! Good times :)

what scale is this? 1:2000?
I thought you will mention the problem with the 20th Anniversary brick... cause its 2023, so it was originally either ment to be released last year, for the 20th Anniversary of Ep. 2 Or, should have been 15 years, cause the TCW aired in 2008. And yeah I know the Tartakovsky's Clone Wars came out in 2003, but that show did not feature this ship... 😅
It's just to celebrate Clone Wars cartoons in general, try not to overthink it lol :)
I wonder how long (if ever) it will take before they lower the price?
Seeing that they know this is gonna sell just for the Captain Rex alone I wouldn't count on it.
How did I not know about this?
Thank you
That really stinks about the no interior. I was on the fence about buying this one but with zero interior design its pretty much pushed me away. 🙁
i will get this set.. but at a more reasonable price when i find it.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived 🎉🎉
Why I can’t buy big Lego sets:
I don’t have space to put it
I don’t have any money
I will definitely knock it over at least once after I build it
Lego is now just a flex
Its cool but the lack of interior makes it way down the list. Republic gunship or Falcon for my first $1000 set.

Volta com o canal em português!!

정말 멋진 기체가 나왔네요 good!!!❤❤
No idea how did you manage to build the engines that bad. Mine are perfectly fine and they doesn't fall down a milimeter at all. And no idea why people thinks that interior really can add nothing to the final product. At the end these giant builds will be covered in dust and nobody will open the thing to see nothing inside. For me it is just perfect as it is.
After building Star Wars Mocs and putting flat pieces into clips, I can’t believe it’s ok for official LEGO 2:22
Kinda sad that the main hangars don't open
Great video! Piece count is not an end-all-be-all value comparison, since piece sizes (cost of plastic) varies greatly. Physical size and display presence is one reason people will be ok paying $650 for less than 6k pieces.
I am the sort of person that this set is marketed to but i am giving this a miss due to the lack of interior. Even as a 50+ year old bloke (person) i still want to "play" with, hande and interact with, not just stare at it. My body may be old but my mind and imagination are still young.
i agree that its too expensive also because it costs 700 USD in europe
I was waiting 😃
Aaah those sagging engines 😭😭😭
"Until you turn it on its side and you see how deep it is" that what's she said ;)
