Nice review. Note at 7:15, those tiffany blue things on the crates are a reference to the blue macaron-like biscuits that Grogu had used his force powers to steal from his classmate in one of the episodes.
Ship's proportions are not as wonky as some other UCS sets of course, but it being more stable, durable and swooshable than the likes of AT-AT, Star Destroyer and Millenium Falcon is a huge plus for me, especially with such a price tag. Another plus is it having a fully detailed interior compared to Millenium Falcon which was a big disappointment for me. Imo UCS Razor Crest is one of the best price-worthy UCS sets Lego released so far, even with the recent price increases.
what do you mean by swooshable? seems as most of top easily comes off. I feel like its mostly a stationary display model in-likes of other UCS sets. sorry, not seeing a big difference here.
this set is 816 dollars where I am (canada) and the set in INCOMPLETE and does not have a bottom? wtf "best price worthy models!" literqally they didnt even make a bottom for it, the SET is INCOMPLETE.. for almost $1000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@Rula2020 With swooshability I largely mean how delicate it is to hold and lift which this looks like it needs less care than the likes of Millenium Falcon, AT-AT and Star Destroyer.
Honestly I love the new updated Mandalorian helmet design, it looks even better than custom ones, and the detail in this is absolutely phenomenal. Love the review Tiago! :)))
These newer sets definitely raise the bar considerably with their refined, studless look. The thrusters reminded me that Lego should make a Firefly set too. Lots of adults have a deeper connection to that ship, it would arguably be more unique, and I'm sure it would be a much cheaper IP to licence.
Someone did get the 10,000 supporters needed for a Serenity set on Lego Ideas back in 2012, but it was denied based on the IP at the time. In Lego's words, "LEGO produces toys for children. Therefore all LEGO products, regardless of age target, must be content-appropriate for this core audience. With this in mind we have decided that as cool as the Serenity model is, the Firefly TV show and Serenity film contain content that is not appropriate for our core target audience of children ages 6-11. While we know this news will disappoint those who supported the project, we will not be producing this as a LEGO product." Considering we've seen sets based on Seinfeld, Stranger Things, and The Office, I think Firefly wouldn't be a bad set in this day and age. I could easily see it as either another Ideas entry, or through the Lego Icons branding.
@@redhotmoon1656 For sure. They literally have sets with 18+ branding on them. While I don't expect them to create Lego John Wick, the Serenity spaceship alone would be innocent enough.
Lmao at least you have it for $600. I can't say it again and again, just remember, In Singapore it's $900 and in Malaysia as usual, a whole month salary for a normal worker. Currency exchange rate? Ah yes. We are totally earning US$ rates. Ur mcd worker gets paid $10 (USD) per hr, whereas ours get paid $8 (SGD) per hr.
At $600 it needs some silver-painted elements mixed in even if the ship maybe can't all be clad that way. The Infinity Gauntlet set could get that treatment and I don't think it unreasonable to expect some of that here.
great review on the ship - it does look impressive, I never realized how much it actually resembles the sandcrawler when looking at the rear of the ship.
I wonder if the red and blue electrical cables are meant to be a call back to that one scene when Grogu is deep inside the ship trying to fix the wires. Otherwise it is kind of random.
I think my only complaint would be the stickers. For a $600 set I expect printed elements, especially for something as striking as the lines on the side. It might just be the camera, but it also looks like the color on the stickers doesn't quite match the yellow of the pieces.
I cannot laud your channel enough, Tiago. I saw a "teaser" for this set on a RUclips short earlier this morning and was immediately captivated by an iconic UCS model with full interior - which was always important to me when I built Lego while I was younger. The same day, you publish this video and I was blown away by your timing. I don't build much these days, and I certainly don't have the budget for all the amazing sets that Lego is releasing. Those are the coolest Lego Manuals that have come out since dare I say it ,your ship in a bottle. Love the yellow background and it actually has it drawn on instead of the usual photo. Love the faded sections also.
Great review, only good set. I was hoping for something a bit better. The biggest disadvantage is the lack of a dedicated front canopy mould, and Mythrol - why he did not get a new head, the customes were much better
LEGO seems to have a problem where the official images make the sets seem worse than they actually are. For me an important part to get right here was the interior and I was slightly disappointed seeing the images as it looked cramped and incomplete, but here I see that it's actually almost perfect. Still no toilet though, which was by far the most significant detail in the entire ship.
Great review. I'm still not sold. The set is missing different greys to make the set look less polished as reviewer pointed out. I don't want a squeaky clean looking Razorcrest.
I love that it has a full interior I've always wanted a ship with lots of space I really wish I could get one but at 600$ my wallet would murder me lol. even tho I don't have that much money in the first place lol. anyways let's just acknowledge these videos are so modern and simple excellent work.
I have every other UCS set, including the variants of those they made more than one of, but the Razor Crest might be the first UCS set I skip unless I end up finding one for 50% off ( 😂 ). I never got into the Mandalorian, even after watching 6 episodes, so the ship doesn't mean much to me.
Thank you for your unbiased reviews of sets. I appreciate how you explain that it would be too expensive to make the set in silver and that the head molding of Kuiil was unique and expensive for Lego.
Thanks for the timely review! Personally I think this is as good as it gets when it comes to a UCS Razor Crest, even though the price remains too high for fans who don't have a deep pocket or huge affection for the source material.
honestly the only thing that would have made this better would have been including some silver pieces and a new canopy piece but it's understandable why they didn't also maybe a bigger selection of minifigures this set is amazing 9.7 outta 10
Fantastic review, and spectacular model. One of the best UCS when it comes to exterior detail, and interior. Price is high but agreed, for what your building, the effort put into it and the piece count it's one of the better UCS values in a long while. Still a little bit too expensive for me to build, as well as too big to really display anywhere.
This is so far the best review that I have seen of the new Razor Crest. I called my local Lego store to ask / confirm release date and $. They said ‘come in on the 3rd and you will get one without any problem’ cost AUD $899.99. There has been little interest due to the cost apparently. So the review has shown me this is excellent kit and the internal access and additional pieces are very good. I will certainly get one once they are available. Thanks for the great review. Cheers. 👍

My problem with lego lately isn’t that the sets aren’t technically worth the money, it’s that there’s too many massive high price tag sets and not enough sets in between. Did this set really neeeeeeed to be this big? I don’t think so. I’d rather have seen a UCS razor crest that was smaller in size so that it was somewhere between $200-400 (max $500). I just don’t need a ucs version that’s this massive. Similar to the black Panther bust, great set, good build, probably a fun building experience, but was it necessary to be so massive and expensive. Especially with the amount of huge lego sets coming out lately it’s hard to keep up with all these releases. Lego needs to bridge the gap and create more high quality sets at a lower price range across all themes. The decline of worth while $10-40 sets is dwindling.
Building the large sets like this is definitely an experience, I agree. I just finished the hogwarts castle and I felt immense satisfaction when it all came together
Is the cockpit printed? Also, I know it would be more expensive to make a new mold, and to print the yellow stripes on some tiles, but I'm so sick of anyone justifying cut corners on a fricking 600$ lego set
Not at all into Star Wars, but the "Child on Board" sticker got a good laugh out of me. Dunno if that's part of the show or a joke made by LEGO, though.
Hi Tiago i am getting either the razor crest or the venator wich one of them would you say would be worth more and is the venator way way bigger than the razor crest ?
Considering that when scaled to the UCS Millennium Falcon this UCS Razorcrest is about 20% too large, I am even more disappointed by the price. This could have been a smaller and cheaper set if LEGO had stuck to the proper scale. Now it is both extremely expensive and inaccurate. As pointed out in the review, they didn't even go as far as to give us a new accurate windscreen element. The brick built solution looks like something a fan would come up: good enough for a moc, not for an official set. Pass.
I’m Painstakingly Taking The Time & Effort To Spray Paint Every Brick That Shows In The Light Gray, All On The Outside Of This Awesome Set…Not Easy, But It’s Going To Look NUTZ When It’s Done‼️‼️‼️
Feels pretty stingy with the number of figures. Would have appreciated the IG nurse droid at least. Maybe Cara Dune and Greef Karga too. That would make it much more competitive with the UCS Millennium Falcon

Not at all into Star Wars, but the "Child on Board" sticker got a good laugh out of me. Dunno if that's part of the show or a joke made by LEGO, though.
Still have the OG one. I think I like the old one more.
I’m really torn on this one as I already have the original Razor Crest which is also very large and detailed.
Fantastic Review Tiago!
The blue dude is there because this set is based on season 1 episode 1 of mando. That’s why mando has his pre-beaker-payday armor
Pass.
They didn’t even include a toilet!
I’m Painstakingly Taking The Time & Effort To Spray Paint Every Brick That Shows In The Light Gray, All On The Outside Of This Awesome Set…Not Easy, But It’s Going To Look NUTZ When It’s Done‼️‼️‼️
Thank you always for your reviews!!!
Always! More to come!
I can't get over the fail cockpit window, especially now after seeing the custom ornithopter pieces. Seems so silly
You inspired me to become a LEGO senior desiegner after some years. Great video
Feels pretty stingy with the number of figures. Would have appreciated the IG nurse droid at least. Maybe Cara Dune and Greef Karga too. That would make it much more competitive with the UCS Millennium Falcon
Lego Star Wars UCS collectors room must look like display of differently shaped giant grey sculptures for someone not familiar with the theme 😂
Why cant anyone show how to build grogus updated pram 🤷♂️ I ain’t spending $900 for that but I want to build the pram but I can’t see the exact peices😅
at 1:56 you say the head is dual molded but the brown part is quite clearly all print and not solid plastic
Not so sure myself after looking at the high res recordings! I'm asking the designer about it!
@@TiagoCatarino alr looking forward to the answer
How did you get I can’t find it anywhere on the Lego website for AUD
Top quality review as always
Man, I'm drooling
I wish that I had the job of building Lego sets and presenting them to the world.
Pretty cool
Hi! Have Kuiil on his part backpack any print? Thank you for the answer!
I like it, but I like the UCS Millennium Falcon more. That set just holds a special place in my heart that the Razor Crest never could.
