I love lego Good video bro THANKS!
Will I still get my insiders points if I buy it thru this link?
Hey tiago, I was thinking of starting a lego youtube channel myself and i was wondering if you could tell me what camera and mic you use for your videos.
Imagine a large scale Space Shuttle with this level of attention to detail. I know LEGO can do it
They've already made one!
They already made one
I want Starship!
lmao
Already exists
As one of the more critical reviewers out there, I love when Tiago gets genuinely excited about a set!
Critical? He argued that the new sw dioramas somehow weren’t overpriced.
@@BackflipBrickfilmswhen he was reviewing the dioramas I think the point he was trying to make was that they aren’t too overpriced compared to Lego Star Wars in general - where everything is overpriced. That was my takeaway at least
@@BackflipBrickfilmshe's the least whiney of the reviewers at least.
@@seaborgium919and best
I would hardly call him critical. He certainly wouldn’t say anything negative of his former employer.
Actually fits perfectly on my work shelve at an avionics company. Definitely taking up a large chunk of real estate though. I'm really tempted to use the design to make an SR71 model.
Just don't do it in the same color lol
SR- 71 would be fantastic
@@johngisbourne7197 Ah, the iconic SR-71 Whitebird.
Yes!
I would legit spend upwards of $500 for a lego blackbird at this scale
That’s a nice looking model. This brings back some memories.
Back in 1985, the Concorde visited Billund, home of LEGO, for the first and only time. To mark this event LEGOLand arranged a build off. You had to build a model of the Concorde and bring it to LEGOLand where it would be on display and people could vote for the winning model. The prize was the LEGO airport set that had recently come out.
I built the best looking Concorde, using all my best pieces - and I still know it to this day! I had captured every single detail of the bird. It was put on display and me and my dad went home and waited till the announcement of the winner. When the time came, we went back to LEGOLand and tried to find the model. It was nowhere to be seen! The staff couldn’t find it. It was most likely stolen. We never found it. I was devastated. I had lost my best bricks and to make matters worse a unrealistic multicolored model won the competition. I knew I would have won it!
LEGOLand offered me a bag of generic bricks as compensation. Something inside of me still hurts from this experience. I wish LEGO would offer me this model to make things right and close an old wound in a 47 year old man’s heart 😄
This comment should be higher up. I am very sorry for your experience.
That’s terrible!
wow, did anyone take a picture of it? with you in the picture? if you had such picture perhaps you could demand compensation now
1:50 The LEGO instructions actually include the words "Droop Snoot", respect to whoever decided to put that in
It's an actual technical term
its what they genuinely called it
What else were they to call it?
oops my snoot drooped
"Since pilots couldn't see out of the plane because of angled landing, the engineers put together a solution."
As a huge aerospace enthousiast, this was the first ever Lego set I purchased day 1, and I couldn't be happier with it. I don't think I've ever had more fun building a Lego set, and there were multiple "wait, THAT'S how they do it? That's genius!" moments in the process
Concorde was the most fun building experience I have had since the Titanic set. I was also a little surprised about how big the final model is.
RIGHT?!
I’ve just opened the box, should I build it???? It’s so 50/50 to build or not to build
@@thecartsmanBUILD IT!!!!!!
Hello! Can I know where you put your titanic one ? 😂. I am mad about it , but I couldn’t imagine one place where I could put it on .
Totally tempted to see if I can use this kit as the basis to build an XB-70 Valkyrie!
That was my first thought as well😂!
Concorde and Rivendell so far the best of the year for me. Can't wait to get this one later in the year.
For sure!
@@TiagoCatarinowhat about venator?
@@theunsinkable633The Venator looks so good. A shame. I like having money!
Nope, it doesn’t come close
I wish for Rivendell and Titanic. But they are so expensive.... Got the Concorde though!!!!
"The Concorde featured a droop snoot." "Droop snoot?" "The snoot would droop." "The snoot drooped."
O:
Another reviewer didn't even show the landing gear or the interior?! I'm glad you're always so thorough!
And I regret not showing parts of the build trough, this one truly is outstanding!
Im excited so see someone toss this like a paper airplane!
TD bricks usually throws Lego around the wall. It’s something he would do
I'm sure some people out there would do the hanging it from fishing line display. That's how I'd like to do it. Just wonder how you'd want to incorporate the line.
Through the wings and around the body is my plan. Should be a good angle on its own.
Personally I consider Tiago the best Lego reviewer in the world by now. The presentation of models is always great and there is nothing superfluous in a review. Thanks for showing sets in such a great way. I’m looking forward to see new 18+ sets, always pressing the “like” button
The landing gear mechanism took me back 20 years to when I was building the fantastic 8480 Space Shuttle as a kid. Subjectively one of the most impressive sets ever on the Technic side. Thank you for another super chill video! // Chris
Been awhile since I've seen a pure 10/10 set. Not even a plane enthusiast but I'm blown away with this and excited about it.
Totally agree about the difficultly in displaying it. I really enjoyed building it then stressed about where I was going to put it but after moving stuff around I found a great spot that I can see from my desk and it just makes me so happy to look at it. Fantastic model
We appreciate your reviews. Keep up the good work.
Can it fly or float?
So glad I picked this one up - Meant to spend a few days on it but I ended up knocking it out in a little over 6 hour with a few breaks. The build was just so compelling I kept coming back!
Almost finished building mine, and I agree, finding a place to display is going to be more difficult than even the Titanic was. Great review!
That dual molded windscreen is amazing! My favorite piece in the set
another great review Tiago. if I had the space i would definitely get this. keep up the great work and videos 😀😀😀
Preordered this one a while ago and it arrives tomorrow I’m actually so hyped to get it built, a glowing review only furthers my already extreme excitement for this set.
Did you build it already? 😊
@@NimaRazavi yes its simply stunning as a build
@@imnotsarcastic8674 Awesome! How long did it take to build it?
Thank you! I was on the fence about buying this one. Your video helped me go ahead and make that purchase today! Looking forward to putting this together and displaying it.
Thanks for the review. This is indeed an amazing set and I got it on the same weekend it was launched. I can’t wait to build it!
I just saw a blog post about the holiday ski lodge, which is the set I'm excited for. It feels good gradually building up my Winter Village and Christmas collection.
But wow. I'm not much of a plane guy, so I would have overlooked this set if not for this review. Now I need it.
Reminds me of the Lego Saturn V from a few years ago in terms of build quality and value. Although this isn't quite as good of a deal as the Saturn V was in terms of price to pieces ratio (even when adjusting for inflation) it's still pretty compelling.
I knew this was going to be huge thanks to this video, but it was even bigger than I thought it'd be! Fantastic build, and it gives me a big smile every time I look at it. 10/10, droop snoot.
It was so fun to watch this review. It was so fresh and light.😊
I really liked the way they added some notes to instruction book to tell some facts about the real-life Concord. I think we should have more of these in other Lego sets, it's a pity they are not added on a regular basis. And the printed pieces, of course.
The only thing I noticed regarding build stability is that the large slope pieces on the wings feel like they want to pull apart just a *little* bit. Other than that though, rock solid build and well worth the money.
The Concorde is one of the most beautiful planes.
200€ is reasonable in the Lego world, but the size is just too much 😂
Amazing video. I was waiting for your honest review and i thoroughly enjoyed it :)
I am so thankful I stayed up the night of the Lego VIP/insiders prerelease to get my hands on one of these it was so worth it the Concorde is my favourite plane of all time
When I first saw this I had some mild Nostalgia from when I was very young, didn't know what the internet was and constantly heard about the Concorde being decommissioned. Other than that I didn't think much of the set. Then I went and watched a speed build and instantly fell in love with it.
The child in me says yes. My bank account says no.
I love planes and Legos. This is such an awesome set an I can’t wait to build it. Thank you for reviewing it!
*Lego*
Might be a good candidate for a hanging mount of some sort? Maybe fishing line and some clear tape to hold it in place? Would fit the theme of being a plane really well too!
Turning the thing to drop the landing gear is about to make me spend $200
With the Concorde being my favourite aircraft of all time you can imagine how excited I was when they announced it! I purchased it the very first day it was available and now sits proudly in the middle of the dining table. A very unique and fun building experience with me and my girlfriend both highly enjoyed!
Buoght it on the 4th, received on 14th. Very impressive set, and impressive building techniques. I must say it looks even better in person than in photos or videos. It's big, but not quite as big as I thought, but still a challenge to display. Hanging it is an option and it does look lovely from below too, but I feel it's even better viewed from top. Surprisingly robust and looks amazing. I loved building it so much I want to build another one just because of that! But I have a feeling I will need to get a second one. Maybe to build another Concorde, maybe something else, as it's a great parts selection too.
Bought this day 1 and she sits proudly with my other concorde models.
Best set ever imo and I want more planes
Have yet to get one myself, but this will undoubtedly be my set of the year. Loved it from the moment it was revealed, and every review only increases that feeling. Just two things I think could have made it even better: 1) additional parts to mount it flat to a wall, and 2) an easy way to remove the landing gear and some pieces to cover it up entirely. I mean, I could very well see this hanging from the ceiling. That said, I do have a glass coffee table....how cool would it be to somehow suspend it underneath the tabel!
i came in blind to the review, excited for it! my jaw dropped at the price, it's actually very good value as you said!
great review as always Tiago!
I just bought this today for my husband’s Christmas present. The first thing I did when I got home is search youtube for your review. Thank you for your honest review 😊
He'll be happy!
Seeing this beast touch down at the airport years back was hella nice wish I could’ve rode on it
Glad to see they kept the droop snoot, since during landing the snoot would droop
They have a Concorde at Ringway airport in Manchester, visited it recently and got to sit in the pilots seat, a truly beautiful aircraft.
Wooaaawww ! I wait a lot this review being afraid that it does not worth the money and quite frustrated it does not come. But this lego set seems pure joy !
Thanks Tiago for this review !
Great video as always good job!
The Droop Snoot
This got announced right after I got back from a trip to the Smithsonian Annex and saw their Concorde, so I ordered it immediately - it may be comforting to know that the actual plane doesn't really fit in the Smithsonian either - it's at an angle with other planes tucked underneath it, it's tricky to even get it in a single photo :-)
It fits pretty well at Heathrow and Bristol Aerodrome ;-) (where it was built for).
Well you've talked me into wanting this set now. It's on the to buy list now.
This is my favorite kind of LEGO set! But I'm running out of space! XD I will definitely be getting this eventually. Maybe as a Christmas present for myself or something. Awesome review, Tiago!
I love how the little base gives it the look of a Postage Stamp model plane.
They have little "Remove Before Flight" pieces. I love it!
I love the review and also love that you have the AUD price there too
Just finished building this set, definitely was my favorite lego set to build, but it was quite tricky and somewhat frustrating at times. Great Vid
Fishing line on the ceiling was how I used to display all of my bigger models and Legos
THIS MODEL IS AWESOME. I love the droop snoot
1:57 actually, regular planes land the same way the concord did but they had shorter noses so the pilots could actually see what was in front of them
It’s both. Concorde _also_ had a higher angle of attack, although the depiction of a conventional plane as being completely flat is inaccurate.
as usual, exceptional levels of assumptions and lack of knowledge is rife with concorde rumors. everything is a scale, anybody talking in absolutes is full of shit. stay nuanced peeps
So happy they did a great job on this one, special plane that deserved a special Lego set
The snoot would droop.
Thank you very much for the review, I will definitely be getting it. Quick question for anyone who knows, I'm trying to figure out where to display it, how tall is it when it's on the stand? I'm guessing 30 or so centimeters, but it would be nice to know for sure.
That looks nice. Imagine a Vulcan Bomber at that scale though!
For display..would you be able to turn the model parallel to the wall and place it on the stand which is facing backwards…might help take up less space as long as it is stable
The building process also includes some ingenious technic parts which combines smoothly
I would definitely get this if it weren’t for the size due to lack of space for any more Lego (as if I’d have anywhere to put this anyway). I’m pretty interested in aviation, I’ve actually been on a model of Concorde that was used in testing
I picked one up at a LEGO store in my local mall.
Absolutely fantastic piece. One of my new all-time favorite sets for sure!
Had a blast building it
I recently got this lego set for Christmas, and my god is it amazing! Every aspect of it is perfect. Although it is quite big, I feel it was neccesary to put all that detail in. Incredible build!
Great video! And if you have any further interest in Concorde, I'm guessing the stand location is placed right at the centre of gravity! Which was also very important for the aircraft to achieve, as there were no stabilisers! So so fuel was pumped to different parts of the aircraft to keep the plane balanced!
They should make the Blackbird SR-71 next.
the way you said "droop snoot" is so dear to my heart
Just got this for the wifes birthday. We love Concorde, and Lego. Looks like money well spent , cant wait to build it
i hate how this isn't mini-fig scale
Great review! When are Tiago Tuesday Talks returning?
Darnit - now you've made me want this set too, and I had sort of pushed it out of my mind rationalizing it's outside my "normal interests"... oh well.
Would love to see you do a review of the brand daia mural lego just finished the tiger and I love it
I saw this model on display in the OKC store, and I didn't think the top/bottoms of the wings looked very good with the irregular gaps between bricks. Maybe I'm just being too picky, but I'm glad to hear it was a fun build.
I can NOT wait for someone to release a lighting kit for this thing
I agree one of the best sets this year, its an awesome set!
Wow the Concorde! I thought this is some custom build and had no idea LEGO made such model but made does this look amazing! I literally had no idea they have released this!
Beautiful model and great video.
I ordered mine the minute it became available for preorder!
I bought one of these for Xmas, greatest Lego set I've ever built / owned. I still catch myself staring at it a month later!
That windscreen piece alone is going to be worth a lot in a few years 😂
Wow looks super sonic Great review
I love the look into the inside i thought it that there was only the outside its a nice surprise
This set looks incredible wow
Does the landing gear undergo rapid unscheduled disassembly for authenticity?
Bought one yesterday 😊 excited to build it
Hi Tiago, this set looks amazing !
I'd like your opinion on a set to buy, I'm hesitating between Rivendell, the Concorde and the Blacksmith's House set. Which one would you advise me to buy first?
I hope we get more dual molded cockpit parts
I built it and can agree that it is an amazing set, would have been a great promotion if they restored one of the originals as advertising for this set.
Okay when I first saw pictures of it I was a bit disapointed. but you showing off all the features and the building technique has really pushed my appreciation up. (but I still don't have space for it unfortunatly)
I managed to pick up the concorde set at my local lego store and started, can't wait to finish
Regarding the size, I’m tempted to do what I used to do with my large plastic bomber models and hang it from the ceiling with transparent fishing line.
If it’s back ordered right now, then I’m glad I got mine on the day it was released 😁😁😁
I checked and it ships at the beginning of October! If you order now
I got this set for Christmas and it is the coolest set Lego has ever created not just because I really like airplanes but because of the awesome building techniques and snot brick techniques which made it an awesome building experience
