      If I knew 30 years ago what I know now, I might be healthy. When first told I had hep-c, the treatment was like Kemo or something. The Dr. told me there would be days I wouldn't be able to get out of bed because the treatment would be so bad. Also I was told there was no guarantee it would even work. I was working construction as a glazer. I couldn't take days off. couldn't feel anything wrong with me and thought I was healthy and strong as an ox. Then it got bad. By then they had the 8 week daily pill that cured the hep-c in less than 8 weeks. Even though I was cured of hep-c which I think I got at the hosp. when they had to operate on my broken compound fracture femur. That was back in 1980 before they checked the blood for diseases. But how do you prove that? Now I have outlived what the "specialist told me my time left. And I suffer all the time. Can't sleep, always in pain, can't eat hardly anything. Good luck to everyone!

I really hurt because there’s a pain on my back and in my stomach but if I don’t push myself to do this little bit of exercise that I started to do, I’m not gonna get any better it’s going to turn to the cirrhosis which I don’t want to have so that’s good that you and your friend are working out also, take care and God bless I pray everyone heals there liver !!!

      Yeah liver issues is probably much worst than heart issues. Your liver takes a hell of a beating with sugar, fats, enzymes, etc and anything you consume in large amount could kill your liver. Don't do drugs, alcohol or smoke. These 3 things will kill your liver. Also don't eat too much fatty food every day like a quadruple double cheese burger with sugar soda everyday.

      @GinoBlackOfficial 3 года назад +13

      @Harry Notwoke BTW: as far as “apply for a new liver”? That’s a lie. Many people die waiting on a new liver after getting on the waiting list. And it’s hard enough to even get on the waiting list. There are so many factors that come into play via the national transplant list.
      Whoever said that was sadly misinformed. I guess he/she would rather die than clean up and start fresh.

      @chrisk7082 2 года назад +13

      @@myyoutubechannel3161 hello 👋 so they gave me a local anaesthetic then inserted a needle into my liver, just below the ribs on the right side of my abdomen. They took a sliver of liver and then it was sent to histopathology for examination under a microscope (I presume) the results showed that I had steatosis (basically liver fat) fortunately I had no inflammation or fibrosis. After 6 months of abstinence I had my liver function blood tests repeated and an ultrasound of my liver. They were completely normal as I had stopped drinking. The worst thing about the biopsy was having to lie still for 6 hours on my left side. This is to prevent any bleeding. That was done on Christmas Eve 1999. I got my results back on the 6th of January. I know a bit about the liver so was very relieved that they caught it early as once scarring occurs it’s permanent and can still progress to cirrhosis over a few years despite abstinence. Technology has now changed and there is a very quick non invasive ultrasound that can detect the density of your liver and if the result is out of the normal range then they will advise accordingly depending on how high the reading is. Hope this was useful.

As a nurse, I should have known better, but there is a saying that doctors and nurses make the worst patients, and it is true! Got up to fullblown type 2 about 1 1/2 years ago, then buckled down and got back to pre-diabetic stage within 6 months and have stayed there. It is a struggle, given the proliferation of processed and fast food in the US. Your videos have been a huge help to me..Thank you!

      1. Eat some good healthy and wholesome foods. Once you're full, stop eating.
      2. Don't eat anything else at all until your body has fully digested and absorbed that last food (this takes about 10-16 hours, depending on what you ate last, the state of your body and other factors).
      3. Repeat.
      If you do this, you will feel better and your liver will thank you for the rest it will be getting from that day on. If you don't, well, you'll get the same results you've been getting so far. Enjoy!

      Yes I agree. The doctor told me like maybe I would say the beginning of last year maybe I don’t remember correctly. She just said you have a fatty liver that’s all she said so I didn’t. I didn’t nothing of it so I ended up in the hospital. They didn’t know what it was the pain in my back and in my stomach again they did all kinds of tests. The only thing that came out was a fatty liver. Same thing my doctor has said, but they said all everything’s fine you just have a fatty liver again. They also didn’t tell me how serious this is so I just got online started googling stuff and found out it was serious so I made some appointments to my doctor in and I’m going to find a liver doctor to see what stage is my fatty liver. No one said you have a fatty liver you have to take care of it, so I don’t know how long I’ve had a fatty liver. I just went to the doctor because the pain in my back and my stomach was killing me, but these videos Dr. these are awesome. You explain it to the T thank you so much.

    Great video. I had some of these symptoms. I also had cystic acne that flared up along my jaw. I think my liver is improving because now my skin has healed, eyes are white again rather than yellow. I also have so much more energy! All because I went keto, and intermittently fast. Thank you for all your doing!!!! Channels like yours are helping so many people!!!

    I gave up drinking 36 years ago, I am 72 now. I had liver cirrhosis. When I have a liver test the enzymes are elevated and the Dr asks if I drink alcohol.
    I am on various chronic medications which must be the reason. However I do have some of the symptoms for damaged liver, mainly extreme lethargy.
    Dr Berg thank you for sharing your knowledge, it is so helpful. I am from South Africa.

    Thanks for the information. My wife has cirrhosis of the liver. Non alcohol or misuse of drugs. She had years of hypertension and diabetes. I be leave that the prescription drugs started the problem with the liver. You are right about it not being seen years past before it showed up a serious issue. It is not pleasant seeing one have the effects of the liver diseases and combined with kidney problems. Now she has to do dieyalisis. The liver caused the kidneys to become damaged, also. Now, she has both problems. It is sad to see her in this state.

    A lot of illness is caused by unnecessary worrying not to mention unnecessary medical bills like when I told the doctor I had a pain he said I don’t think it’s cancer so I approved a bunch of tests and when I asked for results everything was fine he scared me into thinking I may be sick

    My husband died almost 2 years ago from nonalcoholic cirrhosis and CHF from a diet high in fatty foods. Until his diagnosis neither of us had any idea you could get cirrhosis without being a drinker. Please get your liver enzymes checked regularly and frequently. He suffered a great deal before dying.

      I don't understand, was he eating junk food all the time and drinking soda all the time? I mean, genetics are a factor of course, but I think you would really have to push it in the eating bad department to get this, right? An alcoholic gets this because they are constantly drinking and not giving the liver a break.
