I've had my a6700 for 3 months now, after upgrading from mobile photography. I spent a month looking at reviews and the next best step forwards, and the a6700 was universally praised. I considered full frame, but it felt like running before I could walk and the lenses are not cheap!! So a6700 with the G Master 16mm-70mm F2.8, G Master 75mm-350mm F.45 and a Sony 50mm F1.8 Prime (and of course extra batteries) and I am so happy with what this can achieve! Coming from a Sony Xperia 1 V the interface was already familiar to me. The auto focus is amazing, especially allowing to tell the AI to hunt for Birds, People, Insects and vehicles. Noise at high ISO is present (naturally) but Lightroom can take care of that. I ask you this though - does a full frame provide a HUGE difference when it comes to photos, as in does the resolution and light increase make a ton of difference? I am talking hobby level and not professional.

I really appreciate you checking out my channel! for hobby I don't think there is a need for full frame. for professional, you could definitely get away with the a6700, but full frame does give you more room for error. With my full frame I can under expose even more if I'm unsure about the highlights, because I know I can lift the shadows a lot more without it looking bad. Unless you have the money to spend on all the full frame lenses etc, you're better off with aps-c. Plus it's a great camera to learn with. I only owned APS-C for a long time before I added a full frame to my kit.

how do you feel from mobile photography to a6700? im using mobile phone capture some street photography, family photo, portrait and my 3yo kid. Day times was great for my vivo x100 pro , but sometime night/ low light environment was blur, less details. wonder are a6700 bring significant different? thanks man

@@andrewwangcn916 I've used the Xperia 1 V and I am currently using the iPhone 15 Pro Max. My a6700 is much better in terms of dedicated photography, but it requires much more effort and learning. Shooting in RAW so that I get maximum flexibility in Lightroom really does make for outstanding shots. But I still turn to my iPhone for casual (still using RAW/Apple ProRAW) shots that allow me to get some great angles. If you enjoy photography and everything that goes with it then the a6700 is fantastic, but to get the most out of it you will need to dive into manual controls (ISO/Aperture/Shutter Speed) and be prepared to change lenses. I'd start with the a6700 and a 16mm-55mm lens and see how you get on. Eventually you may want to go for a telephoto and that is where you will see a huge difference in quality. I love my a6700 because I enjoy photography and it is my main hobby now. But there is nothing wrong with mobile photography and some of my best all time photos have been taken with a mobile.

Imagine bringing an associate to shoot with you, a second shooter. Yes, I know, mindblowing...

haha, yes that would solve my problems. Unfortunately I'm not in that position. I don't have any associates/friends who do photography/videography haha. But hopefully we'll grow to that point. I will say sometimes people appreciate the feeling of having a solo shooter because it can be overwhelming for some people to have multiple people taking there photos/videos. Doing things solo also can make it easier(sometimes) to be personable & make the subject feel comfortable. I really appreciate you watching! Thanks!

Videos of a wedding in my opinion is a waste. Nobody will want or will ever watch it. Even wedding picks are hardly ever looked at. Some people will have a few photo hung up but will never pull out an album. Just saying.

It's not really for you per se, but for your kids. It's for them to look at your wedding when they grow up. At least thats how I see it

Everyone is different, for some people it means the world to be able to look back in a few decades and see their live reactions to special moments. I highly appreciate you watching! Thanks!

As someone who's shot weddings, engagement shoot BTS, proposals, etc... I can tell you that I've had clients who watch their videos very often. They'll invite family over to have watch parties and everything. So while everyone might not care for the video, there's definitely an audience that truly values them. And as it was already mentioned, it's an invaluable keepsake for the younger generations.
