I no longer have that tamron lens but it would be a great combo with the a6700! I made this video with that lens and the a7iv though ruclips.net/video/Cf-yZnOkoNo/видео.html
Hi there, I saw your video of the 18-50 Sigma, and I would like to ask, how u compare this one with Sigma in "A-Focus" and Quality vs this Tamron? And have u ever tested the 16-55 from Sony?
I haven’t used the Sony 16-55 so I can’t really compare them. But the sigma 18-50 f2.8 is a really sharp and solid lens. If you asking about the tamron 17-70 f2.8 then I’d have to say it’s very similar to the sigma but it has internal stabilization and a more versatile focal range. I really like both of these lenses just depends on which one fits your needs better
Would you say the a6700 does pretty well in low light? At least compared to a full frame? I want a camera that does well on low light but can’t afford a full frame
I have Sony 18-105mm f4, Sony 10-18mm f4. Would you get- Sony 16-55mm f2.8 $700 vs Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 $450? + Pair one of the above with Viltrox 75mm 1.2 vs Sigma 56mm f1.4? I currently use a6500. I do portraits (Semi-pro) and landscape (hobby). Please advise. THANKS!!!!!
Just got my a6700 this last weekend with the kit lens really enjoy it but ordered the tamron 17-70 over the sigma 18-50 i couldnt pass up on the extra 20 mm 😅
Is the photo quality really the same as the Sony A7 IV? Or are you just advertising for Sony? Because I’m not sure which one I should buy, it’s mainly for daytime and sports events. "Because I do see a bit more noise when I zoom in.
@@Chris-wv8cn it’s basically a cropped a7iv but with better autofocus (the new ai autofocus system) and less expensive. I really like this camera a lot for photography. Great video! Any thoughts on pairing the a6700 with a 24-70mm FF? Because I am a notorious zoomer, I think I’d love this length, especially considering the crop factor but I have no options to test it before buying it first 🫠
@@o.k.7673 yes. It’s a great combo. I have the sigma 24-70 and I love this focal range on an apsc camera. I did a video with it on the a6400 in New Orleans and the photos speak for themselves

Thank for the video kyle. Can you tell me if the stabilization of the cam and of the lens (tamron 17-70) is enought to stabilized a video? Of is better to buy a gimbal. Thank!
@@alessioragghianti4462 it’s really good. I barely use my gimbal anymore. Obviously in some situations you might need a gimbal but that would be for more extreme situations or when you need it to be very stabilized
Great video. I have a 6400 im thinking of upgrading from. I think its going to be worth it. Already have that Tamron and a F4 70-200. Yea, the 2.8 is better but still an awesome lens on the aps-c body. Just ordered the 10-18 Sigma with believe will be great on this as well. I tried doing video on the 6400 but with no IBIS its a real chore to try to get useful video. Thats a big reason I want this. Thanks
@@rzrdaze yea. The a6700 is a pretty big upgrade having the ibis. It’s actually probably the most stable looking footage in active stabilization than any of the other Sony cameras in active. I just got the sigma 10-18 as well and it’s so good
Great video! Where did you get those labeled lens caps? I’ve seen them in several videos and I think you mentioned them in one but I can’t seem to find it.
I usually expose to the highlights to preserve them and then edit the photos in Lightroom. If I wasn’t planning on editing them then I would normally expose to +0.0 in camera.
@@KatzHartz I mostly shoot raw because I know I’m going to edit them. You can add presets to jpegs but you might have to adjust the intensity of the preset. The more heavy lifting the preset has to do the more likely that jpegs will start to fall apart
Both great lenses. The tamron has stabilization on it so that’s a plus. If you plan to move to full frame at some point go with the sigma. Just a heads up though, the sigma is a pretty heavy lens and makes it pretty front heavy with the a6xxx cameras
Is it safe to assume you can use a lot of the Sony full frame lenses on APS-C bodies? I want to start my photography journey with an APS-C body and lens, then gradually move on to full frame if I don’t lose interest in the hobby.
The full frame lenses will always work on the apsc bodies. Some apsc lenses can work on full frame bodies with some post cropping or using the super35 settings.
Running a s-30mm14 and can’t get enough of this thing
Love the sigma 30mm!
Thank you for a great video, I've been stuck between the Canon R7 and the Sony a6700 and I'm leaning more towards the a6700

debating if I should get the 70-200 now or wait until they release one for APSC - what are you thoughts?
