    Yes I still use a quick detailer every now and then. Usually if I see some bird dropping on the car or something that doesn't look stuck to the paint. Spritz it on the area and wipe the junk off.

    Quick Detailers are used for minor "cleaning" on vehicles. I Quick Detail my Z06's after every cruise, instead of washing them. Keeps everything looking fresh and flawless. But slickness is the key to a good quick detailer to minimize scratches and swirls while "cleaning". All other traits really don't matter to me. The protection isn't within the detailer. That's what wax/sealants/coatings are for.

    The ICE line has been a good investment for me when washing my customers cars . The price and the quality is there for me and my customers love the out come of there cars!!! And thanks again for the content !!

      For real their ice line is pretty impressive. They put the other more expensive brands to shame with their price compared to performance. Ignoring price all together its a phenomenal product line. I don't care for the seal and shine too much because ice wax is way more user friendly but its still just as good

    • @UndefeatedRC

      The value to price is crazy on the products and well worth it . The seal and shine I use only on black or dark colored cars for easy maintenance for me on my weekly washes

    I'm with you Jimbo, there's no place in my arsenal for a quick detail spray anymore. Waterless washes have the technology to encapsulate the dirt and grime and leave some type of wax. behind. Much better choice in my book.

      I agree. A product like wolfgang waterless mix It really gives a great shine because waterless products have cleaners. So wax amd clean at the same time. 👍

    i like detailer sprays for after car washing. My water at home is hard even using a small filter compared to a 100% filter that costs extra. I don’t mind the detailer spray as long as I wash in the early mornings or evenings when it’s not too hot. Gotta love Megs but Turtle Wax really stepped up.
    and update: amazon sold one bottle a customer of the Turtle Wax Ice Detailer for $3.75 for black friday 2020 so I wish I coulda bought more but can’t wait to use it!

    You didnt mention how much easier the sticky tape came of the Turtle Wax side against the Megs side. Thats a test by itself I see other detailers do and the difference between two products is confirmed in this video too.

    I use quick detailer after washing and drying the car. For me it's the final touch to removing anything I missed after washing it and water spots and streaks. The turtle wax I noticed definitely gives a better shine but attracts more dirt after a few days than the mequires. 👍

  • @MichaelWebber
    @MichaelWebber 3 года назад

    “Spray wax technology is so much better” is my steep learning curve experience too. No problem with improved formula Ice Spray Wax when used as a waterless car wash even when sprayed on heavy for extra protection on panels with heavy diesel soot build-up. No streaking at all. On the other hand Hybrid Ceramic 3 in 1 Detailer is too much work, streaks. What waterless car wash products do you like as a detailer substitute and how much do you dilute them? Why do you dilute them? Great channel.

  • @johnwagner4559
    @johnwagner4559 5 лет назад +1

    Detail sprays are for people like me who park in an dusty underground garage and just want to get the dust and light dirt off without washing the car, obviously. TW is obviously the winner hands down. CG has they're synthetic qd spray which is very good too but doesn't go the distance as far as durability and longevity. TW does.

  • @brentnelson1270
    @brentnelson1270 4 года назад

    Just my 2 cents, but I use detailer sprays on top of already sealed and waxed paint. So, I really don’t look for durability from detail sprays. What I do want is high lubricity to mitigate scratching and GLOSS enhancement and of course, ease of use. I’m a huge fan of Griots Garage Best of Show Detail Spray. It flashes instantly!

  • @JWL-UK

    I stopped using quick detailers last year and opted for a carnauba based waterless wash product only instead. I had Collinite 845 on the car and I thought that it made sense. For 9 months now I've had Fusso Coat on my daily driver which survived much longer than expected and I opted for using Sonax BSD as the sacrificial layer that's been working great. Since March, I've been using it diluted with Megs Last Touch for its antistatic properties and use the solution as my drying aid. So I think if you got a sealant laid on, it makes sense to use a QD like BSD or TW, etc as it will extend the life of that sealant. Carnauba waxes and QD, I'm not so sure as I'd not mix synthetic with carnauba that way. I guess it's only me but I'm sticking with what it's working for me. I don't expect to have the need to do a strip back and start all over until September time. Using the products I mentioned plus some tar spot removal and a fall out remover application back in March is keeping the car looking better now than it did when it got fully detailed. I live in the north of England and drive 1000 miles/month btw.

    I think there is a need for detail spray. I carry it with me with a couple of Microfiber towels. And if I get bird droppings or some mode or whatever on the car I just pulled out the details spray and then wipe it down. The reason why am saying there are still a need for detail spray do I really wanna do that with spray wax. Number one spray wax is more money than a detail spray true then you got lopsided waxing on the car. I don’t want to quarter panel bleeding and the rest of the car or not or vice versa

    I have done my own scientific car panel research with Turtle Wax Spray Detailer, Meguires Quick Detail Spray, Griots Best of Show Detailer, Poorboys World Spray and Gloss, Pinnacle Crystal Mist Detail Spray, Gyeon Quick Detailer and Carpro Reload. Turtle Wax killed them all after exposure to IronX test, SuperPowerclean, IPA test, and Dawn Dishwasher soap. TurtleWax Spay Detailer maintained consistent beading after all rigorous testing. The other products failed BIG TIME!
