BSD remains as my sacrificial layer over Fusso Coat. I dilute it during summer months only @60/40 with Megs Last Touch due to its antistatic properties, and use it as a drying aid. Another new and great product in 🇬🇧 is the brilliant Bouncer's Done and Dusted Si Edition. When it comes to looks nothing quite beats it. It works really well with BSD/Fusso combo.
I don't but what I really enjoy about your videos is you show both procedure and proper data. So if I wanted the detailing spray with the most gloss, and the other aspects weren't as important to me, I would know exactly what to get. Or most protection, gloss not being critical.
I would use eagle one after a dust off to boost and revive gloss! And tw seal n shine after a wash to keep d fusso coat going strong all adding repellency!
absolutely....brian is the consummate professional. he provides consistent honest/unbiased reviews so that we may choose what best meets/fulfills our needs/desires. kudos to the others too...forensic, auto detailing, and all the others that are not being supported by a specific product line. we thank u all and it is nice to listen to your eval of same products to give us different perspectives. Brian...in one word we......TRUST....your reviews. thanks

Thanks Brian for taking the time and effort to put the video together. Very informative. Just goes to show that expensive doesn't mean good. I throughly enjoy these type of comparison videos. 👍✌️🙂
Turtle wax is a huge surprise as far as the products they are coming out with. Thank you so much for these test. I am guessing your product supply is becoming a mountain
I enjoy your videos.. How you don't get burnt out doing these I have no idea.. I know with the editing and so on these videos have to be time consuming on your part. I look forward to watching them.. Amazing the two cheapest detailers took first and second in durability
When I got into detailing when i got my first car, I loved using Meguiars Detailer spray, left a nice glossy feel along with a nice scent when sprayed, after washing and drying the car it just gave a nice shine, these days I been doing Chemical Guys and haven’t tried the Turtle Wax yet although heard they def stepped up their game now hope to get their product soon
Seems that TW has stepped up their game with very impressive products lately. I was very impressed with both TW & Eagle One👍 Thanks for the video Brian👍👍 I never really thought of how much protection a quick detailer could give you🤔
Honestly I think most people sort of have a misconception of what quick detailers are for. They're not meant to be any sort of serious protection. They're really more of a quick cleaner, or spot cleaner, for in between washes. Can also be used to provide a bit of gloss boost for a few days at most, or be used as a lubricant for claying or drying. That's about it. If you want actual protection, serious beading, chemical resistance, UV protection, etc. You'll have to move up to some sort of actual sealant, wax, or coating (or a combination of products). Personally I keep a bottle of Quick Detailer in my trunk at all times (along with a few quality microfiber towels) primarily for cleaning and removing bird poop, or any other major contaminate. You don't want to leave that stuff on your paint or trim for any length of time, if you can avoid it. Especially when parking outdoors in the sun. Even pollen after a rain will create an acidic mix that will sit and leave water spots that can start to etch the clearcoat/paint/trim. Having some nice cleaner/lubricant in the form of a quick detailer really helps remove that stuff easily and quickly. It takes about 5-10 minutes to just do a walkaround with a couple of towels and wipe down the car. No need to get too carried away...just a quick wipe is all you need to really help avoid some of the long term damage. Especially with bird poop...that stuff is NASTY on your paint in the sun. For this sort of quick clean, any quality box store detailer is usually good enough: Meguiars, Turtle Wax, Adams, Griots Garage, etc. I like the Griots Garage (Speed Shine or Ceramic Speed Shine), and Adams (Detail Spray or Graphene Detail Spray), but you can pick whatever...I also like either Meguiars or Turtle Wax products for this. Careful with certain ones like Sonax Brilliant Shine. It's actually an excellent detailer for gloss and some protection, however it's too gel like, tacky/grabby, for cleaning tasks.
Thx for all of your time! I'm in love with Turtle Wax Ice Seal and Shine at every other wash, but use CarPro Reload in between as a QD and drying aid. The shine, depth, and durability destroy the competition!
IMHO Reload's pretty average compared to other spray sealants that run $30'ish a bottle. Not saying that in a bad way, but there's nothing outstanding about it. At it's price point it's not a QD and shouldn't be compared to QD's. You can get 5 gallons of Adam's Detail Spray for like $75 less than a gallon of Reload, so yeah Reload should kill any QD out there. IMHO Shine Supply Clutch is better and cheaper.
A quick detailer or detailing spray has always had a specific use and that’s to safely clean up very lightly dirty surfaces. Fingerprints. Dust. Fresh bird poop. Things like that. It’s something to take to a car show and use to quickly clean up an already detailed car or it’s something to spray on right before you hand off a car to a client. Nothing more, IMO. I don’t know when people started looking at this type of product and think it they could be used as a quick wax or spray wax, products with no cleaning abilities. I could care less about their hydrophobic properties, or how durable they are, or any gloss and slickness additives. I just care about how safely and effectively they clean dust and fingerprints. So as much as I love your videos, this whole test seems very strange and out of scope and doesn’t even test what these products were meant for. Anyway, as always, looking forward to your next video.
Thanks Bryan! Good video. I use 2 different Chem Guys, Adams, P&S Bead Maker with varying degrees of success. I'm going to look into Eagle One, and Turtle Wax. Turtle Wax has really upped their game after languishing for so many years along with companies like Armor All. They both seem to be stepping up and it's good to see. I'm really impressed with Meguiar's Spray Wax too! It's almost as easy as a quick detail spray and gloss and feel are both amazing.
I am a "try ever product addict", and have a LOT of detail sprays. To be quite honest, for me, they all work about the same way. I like the CG Extreme Slick Quick Synthetic because it has anti-static properties and doesn't streak for me in the sun. The Adam's gives me the most gloss because it actually contains carnauba in it. I am actually moving away from buying any more dedicated detail sprays. I have been successfully using Wolfgang Uber Rinseless concentrate in a detail spray dilution on my daily driver (sealed), and Optimum No-Rinse w/Wax in a detail spray dilution on my Z06 weekend toy (waxed). Both products work very well and make GALLONS of solution from each concentrate. Because there are SO many great spray sealants and spray waxes available now, I just use the Wolfgang and the Optimum for light cleaning as my detail sprays, and follow up with dedicated spray sealants and waxes afterwards. Bead Maker on the sealed daily, and Griot's BOS and Adam's spray waxes on the waxed weekend toy. That way, I am sure to be adding gloss and protection.
I use Adam's as my drying aid and general detail spray uses like bird poop and spots. It's expensive but of all the detailers I've used, it's by far the easiest to work with; flashes really fast and refuses to streak, great lubricity, shines well. Protection and beading are sort of irrelevant to me as far detail sprays are concerned, for sure.
Never used it, but CG V7 use to be my go to QD. It's not overly expensive and there's a physical CG store in walking distance from my house. It might not hold up like Eagle or TW, but it looks good and if you buy it in the gallon it's reasonably priced. Since I know how CG tends to do things, even without using it I bet their Detailer's just V7 relabeled and a different scent added lol. That's not a knock on it.
Wow I was really disappointed in CG quick detailer. As I have been using that for about a year. That Turtle Wax ICE though....😍😍😍🔥🔥 I know I'm a little late to the party but EXCELLENT VIDEO! Might get some of that Turtle wax ice.
Sir, i’m from Poland and your vids are amazing, i was in usa too for 3 yrs, but your all reviews are amazing. You’re only one person who is in TOP #1 in detailing world, because you know what you are doing. The guys like dallas paint correction and young guy Wilson or Willons i don’t remember it’s not a good idea to watch theirs videos. Keep going with your reviews !
My favorite part about things like this and what jimbo does is calling out all these companies that are over charging and underdelivering or just over charging in general
I used to use the Turtle Wax Ice detail spray and absolutely loved it. But now I can’t find it anymore! Super bummed because like you show, it really shed water and it smelled great! I just ordered a gallon of the Adams detail spray. Looking forward to trying that out. I’ve been using Adams Slick and Slide, but it can be a bit smeary if your not careful. Nice demo, thanks.
This is the third or fourth video I watched on your channel...there are 3 more I saw that I can not wait to watch. Your presentation and content are top notch sir!
Eagle One and Turtle Wax, are impressive. And I think thats because they have been paying attention to their user base. Their market is the weekend warrior, and they know that these days, people will simply Google, "Best Quick Detailer," and be linked to videos like this. The Chemical Guys doesn't surprise me, at all. Pretty sad when you hit the Walmart shelf and grab a bottle of Eagle One, over a Chemical Guys brand.
I think you should rinse off the panel using a stronger spray instead of using the shower setting to blast off any leftovers cleaners on the paint. I really like the " Full " setting on my garden hose nozzle for rinsing down my car with its pressure it gives.
Thanks for the review. I have detailers but I don't use them often, mostly for wiping out the door jambs since I can't get those with a hose. I just assumed that they were for getting dust off the body without adding much else. Thanks to this video, and your comparison to TW ICE Seal n Shine, I ordered a bottle of Wipe and Shine for 6 bucks last night. It should arrive in store in a few days.
Funny how these are the cheapest priced products in the shoot out. Thank you TW and Eagle one for proving it doesn’t have to be expensive to be a quality product. Great video.
Thanks Brian, for another invaluable comparison of competing products. As an alternative to an expensive professionally applied ceramic coating, I think the TW line of sealants and QDs are a choice that's hard to beat.
I use the Adams regularly. I actually started mixing the ceramic waterless wash with water and use that. I know it leaves protection and gloss the ceramic waterless wash as a detail spray.✊
Great test.. Since TW and Eagle 1 were pretty much close, pick one and use... I actually use some Meguiars ,, and add a little Klasse Sealant Glaze to the bottle and mix and shake good so to add some more protection at same time.... It gives it that extra boost..
You should do a test on the impact of the highest gloss detail spray (Adam's) that has poor water behavior over base layers of Fusso Coat and Turtle Wax Seal N Shine to see what it does to their excellent water behavior initially and after a wash with Reset. Will it increase gloss but hinder the beading at all and if it does impact water behavior will a wash with Reset bring it back? While also trying the Turtle Wax Ice detail spray over Fusso and Seal N Shine in another area on the panel since Ice spray detailer has decent gloss but excellent water behavior to see what impact it has on the gloss and water behavior of Fusso and Seal N Shine below it. Everyone does single product water tests, but no one ever layers things to see how that will affect things.
That was a fun test to watch! Thanks Bryan! After dominating the gloss category, I thought Adams might run away with it. But have to admit to being caught a little off guard by the Eagle One.
wow! that Eagle stuff is almost sealer like!! and the Turtle again.... Laying a protective "shell" on the paint....!! Kudos to Adam, detailer spray is use for gloss really !!! ;-)
Another good comparison. Thank you. Interesting to note the trade off between gloss and protection. It all comes down to what you value more, which maybe different depending on the situation.
Thanks Brian, good stuff! Eagle One just swoopin' in outta nowhere man.. pretty cool.. never would have guessed.. These inexpensive retail guys just crushing these high end expensive brands.. If I was in charge of Menzerna, CG, etc. I'd be embarrassed and angry and making some changes, probably firing some people.. 😁👍👌✌
Another gr8 vid bryan... looks like d eagle has landed lol... just washed my trk today fusso coat still going strong air dried it and used tw seal n shine as a topper. Lethal combination!!
Can anyone please tell me why beading is so sought after if water spotting/etching occurs as a result? I've heard that the beads created, when left out in the sun works much like a magnifying glass on the clear coat which causes these water spots and etching. Wouldn't "sheeting" be more desirable as there's less risks and less drying needs?? Just curious.
If I use a quick detailer at all it‘s mannets showstopper which can be used on everything watch Brian’s video on it. Or shine supply’s throttle because it’s wax free.
Great Video Brian.. As my daily go too I was pulling for the Adams and was pretty sure it would win the Gloss section. Had hoped it would have made a better showing in the other categories.
I'm firmly entrenched in the TW camp but after these tests and not being able to find TW Ice Detail spray at Walmart, I'll consider using Eagle One in the near future. Great test Brian, thanks.
Honestly I'll use a spray detailer after I've washed the car and took it 5 miles down the road to a car show, to keep it clean. Spray detailer is great as a lubricant for clay. Also, I'll keep it on hand in my car if I'm at a gas station and happen to get gas on a body panel. Rather have something i wipe the gas off with then letting it sit on the car.
Great video! This video gives me an idea for what I would like to see you do. All these companies claim their Glazes add gloss but I have never seen much of a difference in gloss to the naked eye. I always feel like I wasted my time when using them.
I have also never been particularly impressed with glazes, or the visual improvement their supposed "filling" capabilities offer. But I'll admit I haven't used them much at all as I'm always applying a coating. I do like Essence though. 👍👌✌
Very good test results....gonna try eagle one for sure I use there iron removal very happy with that product. Would like to see a part 2 with beadmaker turtle shine and eagle one. Keep the test coming!
great cideo again sir. Unfortunatelkly only the sonax BSD detailer it is abailiable to me.....so i am using only BSD.............it is a bit of difficult to aplly sometimes but i like its gloss enchanse and its durabillity. thanks again for testing products for us
Used to use TW ice products on my motorbike. I was always really impressed with them. It was really the only TW product I liked. Stopped using it, but I have no idea why. Probably a little voice in my head that hates anything turtle wax.
The one thing I noticed in this whole video is you have some nice veins. If you ever end up needing an IV you shouldn't have to be poked multiple time :) --- nurse here :)
The test is well done. There are a few points everyone needs to consider though. #1 I am betting that both eagle 1 and the TW product are LOADED with silicone. If you do any type of automotive paint work in the same space, this could end up being extremely problematic. #2 My personal school of thought says that QED's are a product used to help wipe up a light layer of dust or just touch off a wax job at say a car show. With that being said, what consequence is there to products that add additional layers? What could these additional layer do to distort the purity of the color? That may not up front seem like a big deal but on certain colors it can turn out to make a rather large difference. #3 based on my experience, products with a high silicone content tend to leave a swirled finish especially on dark colors. It isnt that the products actually damage the paint, just the way silicone can behave at times. I know for a fact that one of the products tested here frustrated the daylights out of my father ( who didnt have the trained eyes that a detailer does ) with a black pickup he had. He disliked the greasy feel and appearance of the product. To be fair, I wont name the product simply because it is certainly possible that they have made some changes to the formulation in the last 15 years. Every product has compromises built into it. Everyone needs to decide for themselves what series of compromises works for them. Myself, I use Beadmaker to add a touch of shine once in a while. The rest of the time I personally use Optimum quick detailer.
For the ones that had lower brightness values, you had your hand on the device. Im not sure if that is supposed to make a difference but sure they measure lower
Maybe it was just me but it seemed like Eagle one got almost twice as many soap sprays than the the turtle ice did on the last 3 rounds and still came out on top
Tried it. If you wanna slide across your hood like Bo Duke you will love it. If you like to sit anything on your car while you're parked you will hate it. A pack of smokes, lighter or cell phone will slip right off so fast you won't believe it. Even when the panel is level it is insanely slick for the first couple weeks🤣🤣
Brian, great review as always. For me, I love the TW. I have to say though that I used the CG synthetic detailer for the 1st time yesterday and wow it was easy to use and gave my paint a serious shine and very slick, but as we saw, not 1st in longevity. I park in an underground heated garage and very dusty. What product would be best to repel dust and dirt particles as far as a quick detailer? Thanks!
Tests may be skewed by where each product was applied on the hood. Each part of the testing surface has different contanimants and exposure to the eliments so therefore the whole testing surface was not equal to begin with.
Would you recommend using Adams as a drying aid? I’m looking for a detail spray I can use as a drying aid that won’t add any additional protection so it doesn’t interfere with my coating maintenance.
How do these products perform with a wax that has already been applied? Because you usually wash then wax a car and then you usually use a product like this when the car starts to get dirty and you don’t want to wash it. Just wondering if any of these products will destroy the initial protective wax that you put on!? Thank You!
Hello. All this products (detailers, waxes) are great, but after it rains, all this beads that sit on the car are hard to evaporate. In conclusion the second day I have dust in stead of beads and this is very hard to remove. I need to use a mild degreaser. What is the purpose of wax if I have to wash the car after every rain? Am I missing something? Can you help me with some advices? Thank you.
Do you use any of these regularly...and how often?
Is there really a point to them when seal and shine is just as easy and quick as a detailer?
BSD remains as my sacrificial layer over Fusso Coat. I dilute it during summer months only @60/40 with Megs Last Touch due to its antistatic properties, and use it as a drying aid. Another new and great product in 🇬🇧 is the brilliant Bouncer's Done and Dusted Si Edition. When it comes to looks nothing quite beats it. It works really well with BSD/Fusso combo.

I use several QEDs, depending on application, but none of the products tested.
I would use eagle one after a dust off to boost and revive gloss! And tw seal n shine after a wash to keep d fusso coat going strong all adding repellency!
When I subscribed, I just felt it was deserved, but now I know it was, and I can confidently say, nobody compares product to product like APEX DETAIL
absolutely....brian is the consummate professional. he provides consistent honest/unbiased reviews so that we may choose what best meets/fulfills our needs/desires. kudos to the others too...forensic, auto detailing, and all the others that are not being supported by a specific product line. we thank u all and it is nice to listen to your eval of same products to give us different perspectives.

Thanks Brian for taking the time and effort to put the video together. Very informative. Just goes to show that expensive doesn't mean good. I throughly enjoy these type of comparison videos. 👍✌️🙂
These pricier brands must be pulling their hair out with every video you've made lately.
They never used to be compared...a fancy brand would appear , be proclaimed as great, ordinary consumer stuff ignorantly assumed to be bad
😏
Turtle wax is a huge surprise as far as the products they are coming out with. Thank you so much for these test. I am guessing your product supply is becoming a mountain

I love how thorough this video is. Great job!

I,m with you on this,it seems to he a waste of money for the average guy
Keith Knechg I wouldn’t call them a waste of money. They definitely serve a purpose and now we know a little bit more about them than we did before.
"When it comes to gloss, Adam's really SHINED there." Lol

I wonder if the newer version of ice spray wax would do better?
@@Darkhunter218 the new version is slightly better it may have tipped the balance

If Turtle Wax ever made a proper ceramic coating, durability would probably be infinite 🔥
I wish they would!🙂
Dreams comes true 😂👍🏼
That was a fun test to watch! Thanks Bryan! After dominating the gloss category, I thought Adams might run away with it. But have to admit to being caught a little off guard by the Eagle One.
I love using eagle 1 detailer. I use it on my daily driver Wrx and I’ll never go with anything else
I was recently wondering about this! Thank you for these test and for all your very useful videos! Keep it up my friend. Great Job!👍👍👍👌😊
Excellent video. Great match ups. Great info. Thanks for posting.
Brian, this would be a great video to redo with some of the new productsin the space like Lithium, NV, P&S, etc...
wow! that Eagle stuff is almost sealer like!! and the Turtle again.... Laying a protective "shell" on the paint....!! Kudos to Adam, detailer spray is use for gloss really !!! ;-)
Another good comparison. Thank you. Interesting to note the trade off between gloss and protection. It all comes down to what you value more, which maybe different depending on the situation.
Eagle 1 *QUICK DETAILER* would blow away Beadmaker *SPRAY SEALANT* for protection..lol! Great slickness from Beadmaker, though.
Isn't the primary purpose of QDs safe light cleaning and safe drying aide? Then added gloss.
Sad that Griots best of show detailer wasn't here 😭 that stuff is crazy good! Great video B
More to come good friend.🙂
I find it to be very streaky.
@@DamionG1987 yeah it is unfortunately... But the shine is very good
I never liked chem guys but for my blk car i love threre synthetic de spray for sick gloss
Another gr8 vid bryan... looks like d eagle has landed lol... just washed my trk today fusso coat still going strong air dried it and used tw seal n shine as a topper. Lethal combination!!
Incredible video you make. Clear for us to choose
I used Sonax BSD & is crazy, very long lasting
Great Video Brian.. As my daily go too I was pulling for the Adams and was pretty sure it would win the Gloss section. Had hoped it would have made a better showing in the other categories.
Eagle-One seems to be more like a spray wax rather than a detail spray. Both both it and TW product are winners!
This is the category Beadmaker should be included in, with the other quick detailers.
Unfortunately...half of these are much more durable.
I'm firmly entrenched in the TW camp but after these tests and not being able to find TW Ice Detail spray at Walmart, I'll consider using Eagle One in the near future. Great test Brian, thanks.
Great video on comparing for each product which one will work best.
Found this video searching on hybrid sealants and was quite impressed by your test of these products, will definitely be subscribing to the channel!
Well put together! We appreciate your efforts!
Great video! This video gives me an idea for what I would like to see you do. All these companies claim their Glazes add gloss but I have never seen much of a difference in gloss to the naked eye. I always feel like I wasted my time when using them.
Griots best of show detailer is crazy good and you know that too haha crazy gloss
I have also never been particularly impressed with glazes, or the visual improvement their supposed "filling" capabilities offer. But I'll admit I haven't used them much at all as I'm always applying a coating. I do like Essence though. 👍👌✌
David Saucedo Best of Show Detailer is really good. I was surprised it wasn’t in this test.
Keith Olsen Yeah I have never seen there filling capabilities either.
I dont use them...they are mostly fillers. great Idea!
Very good test results....gonna try eagle one for sure I use there iron removal very happy with that product. Would like to see a part 2 with beadmaker turtle shine and eagle one. Keep the test coming!
Eagle One and TW.. great match up!
Brian thanks for the Quick detailers I don't use them if I do I can look at your video and take the best.........Thanks Great job.........
Would have loved to see the Sonax detailer here as well!
The top 3 are solid purchases!
great cideo again sir. Unfortunatelkly only the sonax BSD detailer it is abailiable to me.....so i am using only BSD.............it is a bit of difficult to aplly sometimes but i like its gloss enchanse and its durabillity.
thanks again for testing products for us
Used to love megs back in the day. Eagle one wax with Teflon (dont think they make it no more) and megs quick detailer in between.
Excellent video, I appreciate your data and procedures a lot. Best regards
Used to use TW ice products on my motorbike. I was always really impressed with them. It was really the only TW product I liked. Stopped using it, but I have no idea why. Probably a little voice in my head that hates anything turtle wax.
Turtle wax and detailers are great for daily drivers.
For my Tundra I use DPC on steroids,
Very good and informative. This is one I’ve been wanting to see..
Based on the higher gloss numbers I am getting the Adams for my show car.
I love your videos. Keep up the great work Brian!
I might be the OCD in me but it drives me crazy that when down to two that you don't rinse off the entire hood after the chemical application :)
Brian, can you please do a video on Aero Shine and Aero Cosmetics wash wax all.great content btw
This video is pure brilliance! #GREATNESS Brian is pure brilliance! #GREATNESS
Great video !! Thx for this solid information keep up good work
One of my favorite videos. Will you be shooting a updated version with newer products out now?
Maybe a new movie....OTC Strikes Back👽
For the ones that had lower brightness values, you had your hand on the device. Im not sure if that is supposed to make a difference but sure they measure lower
Had to keep them from sliding off the panel.
Why didn't you use Lucas speedy wax?
Throughly enjoyed this side by side comparison! Great job and thank you for doing this!
Maybe it was just me but it seemed like Eagle one got almost twice as many soap sprays than the the turtle ice did on the last 3 rounds and still came out on top
Try a product called Ace It. Best stuff I have used hands down.
I guess you could call this the magnificent seven 😂
I grew up with Megs QD HAHA. You need Optimums QD... good stuff.
Yes Brian Turtle wax Seal N Shine and top it with Turtle wax ice........................
Another great video. Maybe I'm missing something but why would I want to put TW detalier over TW S&S? They both go on easy and S&S will last longer.
Thanks!
another great comparison and product review good friend.u changed it up this time which means the hoarder is out of stock.lol..
Interesting video.
Thank you.
