I like the idea of using a separate fuse box, but you were so excited showing it off that you didn't really show the process of connecting the fuel pump. I want to send this video to my brother who just recovered his car that was stolen buthe would never be able to figure this out using the diagram at the end. Thanks for uploading your ideas to RUclips, regardless.
It's probably a good idea to put the spare remote in your pocket. This is just my idea of extra security, i.e., if you were subjected to a car-jacking and after being thrown out of your car at some traffic lights or pushed off your motorcycle. You can still kill the engine, and then they're going nowhere. I would also hope that the remote you attached to your ignition key ring, the car-jacker wouldn't know to use it and instead jump out, and you have your vehicle back!
*WARNING ⚠️ * MAKE SURE TO WRAP AND ISOLATE YOUR WIRES! CHECK YOUR CAR'S FUEL PUMP WIRING DIAGRAM! MAY NEED A DIFFERENT SETUP THAN MINE! The standalone fuse box comes with a nice plastic cover! I will be making a platform for my setup to support more mods! Subwoofer and GPS Tracker! Car is a LS SWAPPED Mercedes. Let me know any tips in the comments! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your video. I have question. 1. What is default condition ? After battery reconnect, does it on mode or off mode or same as before? Thank you
I have a question, can I connect fuse block to motorcycle kill switch and use it for accessories only ..Instead of tapping into the motorcycle wiring I can go straight to the battery and switch it off when not used ??
Please can you advise me if some moron has stolen the car since the REMOTE KILL SWITCH WAS TURNED OFF THEN CAN YOU PRESS THE REMOTE CONTROL WHILE THE CAR IS ABOUT ONE KILOMETRE AWAY THEN WILL IT ACTIVATE OVER THAT DISTANCE?
Is this better than doing the remote battery way? Or is the battery way less secure because if the car doesn't start that's the first place thieves might look?
with battery you will lose radio channels and reset ecu/pcm memory. I recommend fuel pump because the first thing the look is the battery and its easier to hide the kill switch relay due to smaller wire size. if i was a thief with under pressured time i would check battery. After that it either i leave or tow it LOL
Hey can you make a video of how to install a kill remote switch for the ignition fuse. I manually unplug the 30amp fuse which disables the ignition. I won't unplug the battery since it will erase everything i configured in the SUV. The fuse is in the box under the hood. It would be nice to have a remote switch instead.
so then when you use this it resets the i/m readiness on the car? do you have one that does this only for the fuel pump relay? maybe a plug in on the fuel pump relay then all you do is cutt off the fuel thanks
@@leesgarage7 thanks i figured that but i do not need all that fuse block and that relay has way over kill for a fuel pump circuit. so maybe a different wireless type relay if you know of one? maybe one that will plug into the fuel pump relay spot? thanks
All you need to bypass the kill switch is a wire with alligator clips on each end hook one to the battery terminal and the other end to the positive wire before the kills witch takes 2 secs
I back it up. Still works good Remote immobilizer vs chip key immobilizer car companies use. You can use starter instead if you feel unsafe with the fuel pump method.
@coffin supply Modern day anti theft devices in factory cars do this. It's not something that's new. Most newer anti theft is connected to the fuel pump in one way or another.
Yet all things can go wrong in cars live run out of fuel or engine cuts out for some reason so I don't know why you are worried about this when other things can go wrong without this device
Works good so far. Haven't drove awhile since I have a 98 ls400 I'm working on. Plus I get tired of driving stick to work everyday 😂. My only problem is the vibration. I put in a new transmission mounts and helped a lot but still there. So I'm thinking it's the driveshaft. I should have gotten the 2 piece driveshaft to split the angle upfront. Other than that it's solid. I was doing burnouts in my recent video! Oh I thought you were talking about the swap. The relay still works good! Go to Amazon and get it. You can get one for $30 with 2 remotes now. Wasn't available when I made this video
Your wiring diagram doesn't match what you actually did. You said at 2:40 that you take your main wire from the fuel pump and connect it to the backup deans connector Incase the relay fails. But in the wiring diagram at 6:57 you have the deans connector on the OTHER side of the relay, so its no way to connect the fuel pump directly to ground( according to your diagram)
@@leesgarage7 I've always heard it's not good to run out of gas because the injectors will get messed up. Turning off the fuel pump doesn't mess up injectors?
At most they are going to tow it or find the fuel pump bypass in the trunk. If they want it, Doesn't matter what you do. they will steal it. I turn it off every time I leave and carry with the keys
@@leesgarage7 I think it would be best to keep it somewhere sneaky like ya boots/shoe somewhere where you know their won't be pressure from being in that place and disconnect while ya driving
I've always used something like this in combination with another kill switch located elsewhere in the car. If you have two, esp if the other switch is complex, they will not be able to move it
I would find a Bluetooth killswitch that requires a password to connect to it. You have to think in the mind of a theif. They can be using a SDR to record your signal, which is what happened to me.

I love it. How’s the progress on the subwoofer and tracker?
I did the subwoofer. Sounds good but could need powerful unit. Tracker not yet. I'll post an update on the subwoofer
Thank you for your video. I have question. 1. What is default condition ? After battery reconnect, does it on mode or off mode or same as before? Thank you
should be on off condition when installed. then when you press the on switch, the relay should switch on.

You can try. Get a relay kit that can do AC voltage.

I think you can get one. Look it up on Amazon. Depends on the car too
Can this be installed in the starter instead of the fuel pump?
Yee but make sure to use thicker wire. 10/12 gauge. So instead of fuel pump, it would be starter solenoid
All you need to bypass the kill switch is a wire with alligator clips on each end hook one to the battery terminal and the other end to the positive wire before the kills witch takes 2 secs
Actually from computer box to fuel pump, car won't start with your bypass
2024 update? Has the relay ever not worked?
Still works! Haven’t had time to update video yet
Will these type of devices make the battery go dead
Not really. Very low amperage draw
@@leesgarage7 so if I turn off power to the car for let’s say 2 days and come back. The battery won’t be dead?
Nope
I installed a kill switch on my battery Ground the motor does not start but the Doors open with the remote why.
Are you using thick enough wires?
The only thing with this is that is that the rf can be spoofed I’d rather use a relay that is hardwired to a hidden switch somewhere
I wanted to do the same thing but im always thinking what if something happens while driving on a highway heavy traffic.
you pull over and use the ground bypass. relay is good so far!
yep not worth putting yourself at risk for something no one can backup for. If this was safe, car companies would use it.

Can you do a similar thing and connect it to the starter?
Yes you can but heavier gauge wire is required.
Does it completely disconnect power when the car is off to a point that the car alarm is not gonna go on.
