  • In this video I install a COZYEHOO Battery Disconnect Kit on my 1978 Continental Mark V- after first attempting to install a lousier version. I need a killswitch to disconnect the battery when parking my Mark V for long periods of time to prevent battery drain.
Whatever you do, do NOT install or buy the FEITON battery disconnect kit, it's much cheaper quality and very difficult to install without modifications.
In retrospect, all these silly brand names and kits probably all come from the same Chinese factory, but some kits are defintely better than others.

remote is pointless, they can use a device to scan for the signal and turn the battery back on

  • @job38four10

    ..nice presentation!

I got the one that you recommended and I put it on, I was working for a minute, then the truck died. I restarted the truck and now the windshield wipers won’t turn off! I put the other part back on and had to pull the fuse for the wipers. It actually made things worse

Wouldn't this keep newer cars computers dme and ecu resetting?

  • @digitalbreakthroughs

  • @123K4x4

This battery disconnect is 24/7 uses electricity from the battery. How fast does it drain the battery?

  • @rahula3083

Hi, Did you connect the red wire from relay to positive post of battery first or did you connect that after fitting the negative side ?

  • @jayquanmcneil1455

Hey can you turn the device on and off from very far away?

  • @DaCake2

Thank you for the video. Ultimately are you happy with your purchase? I read the reviews and it seems people either loved it or others said it stopped working after a month or two.

  • @videolapsm9331

Could you help me understand the difference between the 200A switch and the 250A, please?

  • @izzacdagoon

Nice video man ima install this on my 03 cadillac cts because my car wont start properly unless i disconnect the battery and reset the ecu 😭😭😭

  • @drcoolit

isn't there a mild discharge from the battery anyway for this switch so that it's able to receive a signal from the remote and then activate the solenoid?

  • @grandinfinite5921

Chain the hood down. Enough gap to reach your padlock, which will be on the inside. The old ways. That way, they can't pop the hood. How often do you really pop the hood?

  • @spyxxx566

during driving or engine on, should I keep the remote "ON' or 'OFF'?
