    I’ve got a blood parrot that will turn 12 years old this year, he is a great pet with more personality than any fish I’ve ever kept.

      Bloodparrot cichlids are known for their social behavior and can be kept with other peaceful fish in a community tank. They may show interest in the activities going on outside of the tank, including watching television. It's always important to make sure that the tank is set up properly and the fish are well cared for, regardless of their interests or behaviors.

      Blood Parrot Cichlids, like many cichlids, can be opportunistic feeders and might potentially eat small frogs if they can catch them.

    My white parrot quite regularly chases my dwarf gouramis ☹️

    • @AquaWorldInfo
      @AquaWorldInfo  Год назад

      Parrot cichlids are known to be aggressive fish and may chase other fish in the tank as a form of territorial behavior. It is possible that the gourami fish are being chased because the parrot cichlids see them as a threat to their territory. Additionally, if the gourami fish are smaller in size, the parrot cichlids may view them as potential food. To prevent this behavior, it is recommended to provide plenty of hiding spots and territory dividers in the tank for the gourami fish to escape to. Additionally, it is important to ensure that all the fish in the tank are of similar size and that the tank is not overstocked to reduce competition for territory and resources.

      Gourami is one of the most social aquarium fish and very innocent. I had gourami fish before parrot fish. They both are my favourite. But both craves attention plus parrot are also terristorial. so they may not go hand in hand.
