I’m glad that they acknowledged it. Otherwise it would set up a mild continuity error since people might think that Greg was at least being truthful about having a sister.

I've thought that Jack calling Greg out in this scene on it was an error by the movie writers.
Honestly, seeing Greg’s parents should have made Jack realise once and for all that Greg would be a perfect husband. Greg’s dad absolutely worships his wife, and they appear to be besotted with each other. Surely Greg would have picked up how to be a devoted husband from his father.
If I had parents like either Jack or Bernard and Roz, I'd walk out at 18 and disown them. They're all fucking freaks, and I wouldn't want their shit in my life. Dinah was great though. The only sane and reasonable parent.

I agree, in Meet the Parents it was like the entire Byrnes clan(plus Debbie’s fiancé and future in-laws) were ALL ganging up on Greg, Jack and Larry especially, making him feel like say, a bare head exposed to bitter cold with NO protection, (I mean, the way he had NO ONE to side with him-give him moral support or stand up for him, thus there he was, exposed to Jack’s and Larry’s TERRIBLE abuse on him), whereas HERE, he had his LOVING, LOYAL parents to side with him and give him support through and through.

I think if Greg did indeed have a sister(or two), his having mentioned “milking his sister’s breasts” would have added to the comedy here when it came to meeting his family. I mean, I can picture it going something like this: Pam and her folks are also meeting Greg’s sister(or sisters), Jack tells them: “Your brother once told us he milked your breasts, or your cats. Is this really true?” The sister:”WHAT!?! NO!! HELL, NO! Greg NEVER did such a thing to us in ALL his life! How DARE he tell such lies! The ABSOLUTE NERVE of him!” Jack:(in a secret aside to Greg):”Tisk, Tisk, Tisk, Focker! You did it AGAIN-told yet ANOTHER lie!”
