One important thing I noticed that even husbands can apply to their wives. While Chip just talked about himself , Hitch never once did that . He focused the conversation on her, managed to make her laugh without being crass and gave her the opportunity to deny her or accept him . He was confident without being prideful. Men sometimes think swag is this extra way of being ( wearing expensive clothes or perfume ) but really just be a good guy , affectionate and attentive.
Good catch. and husbands often screw up because after marriage, they forget to keep "dating" their wife on days other than Valentine's. to romance her with flirting. instead it's the 3am "you awake?" poke in the back. And then the kids come along, and both are too tired from working and then wonder why the marriage is such a struggle. do a favor, dump the kids on the grandparents, and give your spouse something to brag about at work the next day. as for "confident without pride", most people don't know the difference between confidence and cocky. Cocky is prideful, it's bragging in the fear no one would notice otherwise because the reason for being cocky doesn't really exist. Confidence is not worrying if anyone will notice--a person who wins awards, for example, doesn't worry if someone will notice how good they are, since there's already awards from others who noticed.
The thing is very simple though be confided who you are and know what you want but remember you might not be able to get it all but don't worry tomorrow is another day new chances around the corner.
Love this scene she want to relax have drink with her friend. I think if remember correctly she had great day at work. First guy didn't read signs, where as Hitch acknowledge the signs but enticed her as well in minute or two especially that drink move. 👏😀
He's an arrogant pick-up artist, not a defenseless, socially awkward wimp who had to work up the courage to talk to her after a thousand drinks. Quit living vicariously through movies, dork.
of course what we don't see is Chip picks up someone else and...feels better about the rejection. on a serious note: Sara's friend Casey was warned off about Wall Street guy, and still had sex thinking it would lead to...what? stealing a sleaze from another woman? what great character. THEN the two of them decide Casey's poor judgement skills just has to be the fault of....all men. can't be Casey intentionally went out and broke her own heart. chip probably ducked a bullet :)
Think of the person you end up being with. You both were born at different time's however every decision you made and experience lead you to the moment you met the person you end up being with. Its pretty funny when you think about it. Imagine if you had decided to stay in or go somewhere else and that outcome may have led you in a totally different direction. I really liked how hitch kinda uses elements in this discussion.
This scene in the movie "Hitch" is a mater's class in subliminal persuasion and communication. Notice how he matches her unspoken signals and mental expectations and uses them to redirect the conversation. She states a position and he deflects appropriately and effectively right back to controlling the interaction without being too assertive or aggressive. Hitch challenges her comments but does not confront them devolving the conversation into a power struggle. Supremely confident but not dominate. This scene alone is worth the price of admission or purchase is men want to pursue western modern women. Yes, the Hitch character is reasonably good looking, appropriately dressed for the occasion and locale but that isn't the prime reason for his success.
People usually overhype these kinds of scenes, but this is actually fantastic. Repeatedly subverting her expectations, and fucking LEAVING. I love this, I didn’t even remember liking the movie but I underestimated this scene
Don't be too hard on Chip, he actually did something that takes a ton of guts, was not disrespectful at all and even though he was oblivious he eventually got the hint, maintained good manners and left them be without getting all fussy.
This woman was incredible guarded, cynical, and very intelligent and there was never a suggestion that she might be lgbtq or transgender… or even confused…
Lessons learned: -Pay attention. -Be genuinely interested in other people's stories and lives. -Give it a good effort. -Don't take it personal if it doesn't work out. -Walk away with dignity.
I enjoy reading comments making big screen fantasy something profound and to apply in real life. Because sometimes in real life I actually see guys try to apply this...only to get laughed at! 😀

@@ricardocruz9339 yes it's easy for you to talk to women because ur gay and women see you as safe
@@leonard30909 Thank you Leonard exactly.
@@leonard30909 No shit, so have no ulterior motive and be genuinely interested in learning about other people. That's why gay men are safe.
trying to get my swag back hitch style..Savoir
I like the music in the background.
Everything but the girl - five fathoms
What’s the song name in the background?
Yea it also helped that Hitch was ten times better looking than Chippy boy there...

That walk away is very similar with the one he did after slapping chris rock
😂
I love this scene the way he notices everything about her then leaves her wanting more great job.
There is a part of me that wonders what would his approach have been if he was not intercepted in the beginning
I had the same thought rewatching this scene today. He'd have probably gotten rejected.
This is the highlight of the film. That and the scene where he’s trying to talk to her through the door. Suave!
The amazing way she’s fine that even though she’s ripping Chip apart, we all keep watching, instead of turning away!
So... have scripted dialogue?
@chae fugate *brings out popcorn*
It wouldn't be this fast, but it could be this close.
If you can't afford a team of writers maybe a book of knock knock jokes works for me.
tal e qual xD
People usually overhype these kinds of scenes, but this is actually fantastic. Repeatedly subverting her expectations, and fucking LEAVING. I love this, I didn’t even remember liking the movie but I underestimated this scene
It’s powerful to let a woman know you’re interested but if you don’t get her you’ll be completely fine moving in the next.
Starring Will Smith as Will Smith.
Deep down we all want to be will Smith but instead we end up like Chip
Anybody know the song that's playing in this scene?
Could anyone please tell me the name of the Song running behind ?
Everything but the girl - five fathoms
I thought: Slap. But he handled it quite calmly.
what is the movie name
Her giggles at the end was so cute
Guys I'm reading more books now
@@deltachi1464 - I’m reading one by Kimball. It’s pretty good 😉
can someone tell me the name of that soundtrack? plzzzzzz
When you genuinely compliment a woman and never actually try to get her number she'll appreciate that and will never forget it.
What is that song? Please let me know if sombody know Thanks
Who can help me with other movies like this name please 👇👇
What does it feel like song name rigth?
Title of the movie?
Will played that so well... 👏
Does anyone know this song
Movie title pls?
Familiar but I can’t remember the title of this movie. Can anyone tell me?
The movie name is HITCH.
Song in the background?
Don't be too hard on Chip, he actually did something that takes a ton of guts, was not disrespectful at all and even though he was oblivious he eventually got the hint, maintained good manners and left them be without getting all fussy.
It's sad but it's reality
@@Reecesavage-Alwayswin how is that sad?
Chip wasn't listening so Chip got chopped.
I love this this scene.
which movie ?
damn it gosling
One of the best scenes of the 00s
On this scene did will slap Eva???
This woman was incredible guarded, cynical, and very intelligent and there was never a suggestion that she might be lgbtq or transgender… or even confused…
Is that Dr. Sheila Gamble?
I tried this but it didn't work. She walked away when I said "hello"
The Gift of Gab with smoothness
Plot Twist: He's leaving her the bill.
He didn't had time to pay. He needed to get up to slap Chris Rock.
I been doing this a long time lol
Lies, in today's modern Era, a woman like Sara melas would end up alone with a cat. While a guy like hitch would be married.
This movie gave me alot of sauce growing up
'Try to generate a relationship out of thin air'.
Chip would have been more than happy with a one nighter.
Leave when interest is piqued
lol if only he was this smooth with Jada
. this th movie with th jet ski ? ^ w
Only in a film, Hitch has the meeting with Eva Mendez served up on a platter for him and has good writers for his pitch to her
Smooth moveeeeeeeeee
Lessons learned:
-Pay attention.
-Be genuinely interested in other people's stories and lives.
-Give it a good effort.
-Don't take it personal if it doesn't work out.
-Walk away with dignity.
I have a question not to come off hurt or even petty or childish but how do you not take it personally whenever someone rejects you and your efforts?
Ah the times before smartphones
Now I understand I will never talk to anyone from my past. Looking to the future contract
This is why I never go to bars. I wanted to got it one but I keep think *how will these women view me? What happens if I say something to them?*
Afterwards Ryan Gosling came in and she was hooked
evea looks cool
Eva Mendes is so beautiful!
I just noticed the bartender is the cop from Hancock .
His trainer. I think will occasionally cast him.
Daaaaaayum........he smooth.....
I enjoy reading comments making big screen fantasy something profound and to apply in real life. Because sometimes in real life I actually see guys try to apply this...only to get laughed at!

That Everything But the Girl song in the background ❤️
oh, well done. well done.
This is every nightclub now and it's hellish.
Her giggle at the end...

He slapped Chris Rock and yelled at him. I couldn't believe it.
