    ah, so it gets harder the more upwards you go so its trains the muscle at that spot

      Let me explain,. Yes, you will do less reps as it's way harder exercise but have more emphasis on the weakest part of your pull up - this means it's gonna be very effective exercise to work on your weakness and in the end let you do more pull ups.
