I was lucky enough to play for Derek back in the mid 90's...he was and still is amazing. Still has the voice he always did.

I met john and derick before both are super nice guys. Met derick at Kiss convention he gave me his CD and a guitar pick. Met john at Y & T concert in Asheville hung out side with us and talked about music till he had to run back in and get on stage.

You’re pretty much right. Derek does lots of shows where he shows up and theres a ‘house band’ . They could have had a quick sound check?? I’m a drummer and where as this drummer here can certainly play he just didn’t know the song . Especially when the band pauses at 2:12 and its only vocals..He came back in wrong. ….well you heard it…

Ted never sang this song which he wrote. Every time they perform it live, it was sung by Derek. Ted gave it up to Derek for good reason. No different than the Eagles switching lead vocals between Don Henley, Glen Frey, Joe Walsh, etc. Each has his place in the band.
