- Live At Walnut Creek Amphitheater, Raleigh, NC, 1995.
Ted Nugent (Lead Guitar & Vocals)
Derek St. Holmes (Guitar & Vocals)
Michael Lutz (Bass & Backing Vocals)
Benny Rappa (Drums & Backing Vocals) - Видеоклипы
With Ted’s incredible guitar playing and Derek st Holmes vocals this was the best line up Ted Nugent had.
Is that Carmen Apice?
Ted Nugent should be in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
But they don't have the balls to nominate him.
Yeah!!! Of course
DONGOE That club is such garbage. Funkmaster Flash and Abba? Their use of "rock and roll" hall of fame is an embarrassment.
Citizen Smith - It's almost a total joke. Donna Summer?
+DONGOE, maybe they can't nominate him, because it's not up to 'them.' Right? ! Quite right, you're bloody well right, you got a bloody right to say....
+LegettHall - And I think that Ted is more worthy than than many who are already there - rockhall.com/inductees/alphabetical/
The Derek St. Holms years were the best with Nugent.
No question!!!
I agree completely.
I cagree ampletely.
Derek St. Holmes!!!👍👍👍👍
for me it's a toss up between this and the Amboy Dukes
Derek st has such a underrated voice!!!!
For the longest time I thought it was Ted singing Derek's songs.
What makes you believe he's underrated?
Derek and Ted wrote some awesome songs together. Derek is one hell of a singer and guitar player.. Ted has stated this years ago... This song shows how well they play together. ..
sooo underrated!
This isn’t Derek but he sounds just like him !! This song and Stranglehold was written by Ted back in the Amboy Duke years !!
Man Ted’s guitar tone here is incredible!
the best ever here
Derek St.Holmes absolutely killed it on this album.
Ridiculously great sound from his Gibson Byrdland.
And that guitar was designed for jazz' ted was like f it.
Jammed to double live and smoked it up after school everyday with the gang Ted rocks
Ted is THE ONLY dude allowed to wear his own concert shirt on stage
That's what I like about Ted, so understated, so reserved, so subtle, said no one, ever.
Forgot one, so full of himself.
@@michaelbglovier1116…..and rightly so.
Ted's guitar playing with Derek's lyrics is the best.
Derek's fucking his own lyrics up. The line is "It's so crazy, but you know that I like it" as opposed to "I like it, but you know that I like it". The latter doesn't even make sense as a sentence; it's almost like stating that you like something, however on the other hand, you like something.
Hambone Jones. You're right, but not just on this version. I've seen Ted with Derek several times and have a few live versions of this song downloaded and I've never heard Derek use the same words twice. Go figure. But it's Live Rock. Goes with the territory.
Ted wrote this song when he was with the Amboy Dukes he recorded it with Derek singing it when it was just Ted Nugent don’t believe me look for this and Stranglehold live when it was Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes !! I shared both of them for a friend a few years ago !!
Derek St holms has one of the BEST voices ever👍👍👍☝️☝️☝️☝️
No one rocks as good as ted.
Wow!! Ted used some of the most unique guitar licks I've ever heard!
Saw Terrible Ted a few times in the 1970's. That first album is a metal classic. You haven't had a full concert experience until you hear the band doing their intro jamming before lights go on before the first song. You hear the noise and wondering what he's gonna open with. Then St. Holmes starts the riff to "Just what the Doctor Ordered" and Ted comes swinging out on a vine like Tarzan, only wearing animal skin fur boots and a Tarzan like Loin Cloth and bust into the song and it's so loud your ears start melting. Long Beach Arena in So. Cal. 1978 or 1979. Still makes me wanna play Double Live Gonzo so loud I piss off the neighbors.
Ken Cordle , I was at that Long Beach show. Amazing! The L.B. arena always has great sound.
Ted's music isn't "metal". It's pure R&B fuckin' Rock & Roll !
@@jeffsandy5088. In the '70s we called it all of Metal. We didn't worry about the catagory it fit in. Call it what you want, but it was loud, obnoxious, loud, kick ass and really loud. Did I mention it was real loud?! Call it whatever you want.
I saw the same tour. Was 13. Incredible and still remember. Opening band was completely unknown called Def Leppard and second band was the Scorpions who had one hit at the time
I saw terrible Ted in Denver
A tight, professional, 4 piece band who knows what they are doing and commanding the stage. Beautiful.
Love how Derek backs off and takes the rhythm while Uncle Ted takes the next leads!!!
He opened with this when I saw him in '77 and rocked the house!
Kick Ass Rock and Roll. Confirmed.
Absolutely love the Nuge, he is one of a kind and a dying breed whose music will live on for ever. This guy inspired me to dig deeper into playing guitar. He is a great guitarist hands down.
Definitely one of the best musicians of all time. He has actually influenced the "OTHER" best musicians of all time.
Check on my channel Ted's playing my guitars and giving tips and techniques on all things Tonal Tenacity !
Well said Stephen! He's the best player I ever saw that makes his own true sound..EVH is a great technicle Rythum player of course..He's TED NUGENT in your face bad ass rock!!
he needs to not chew gum
@@mikemcmillen9581 - Why?
Great sound. Great line up.
Phew! What a great number. I love the Yardbirds riff right at the end.
These songs from Ted Nugent, they're quite good! The songs, like this one, is Rock & Roll 70's and is so damn good!
Sweaty Teddy owes half his carreer to Mr Derek PERIOD !!!!!!!!!!!
Ted is at his best when he's got Derek St. Holmes.
one of my nugent favorites. i love Derek st holmes vocals with ted!
Michael Lutz on bass really adds a lot of kickass-ness to this and all of the other songs of this concert. He is really good!
Saw Michael play in concert (Brownsville Station) and at Andy Patalan's (guitarist for Sponge) wedding.
I saw Ted 3 times on this tour . The sport of the wild back in the mid 1990’s . With Derek they sound incredible . Teds guitar playing and Derek’s singing .. some of the best shows I’ve seen
Ted absolutely blasting out by the speaker @1:21 gives me chills. So obvious he just lives for this crazy ass shit. Fantastic song with legend lyrics.
Ted for President
The greatest american hero!!!
My favorite video to watch of Ted showing what a real rock-n-Roll maniac he was. A legend in my oppinion.
Awesome version of a Ted classic. All the guys in the band sound great on this one.
except the singer not knowing the right words like thanks Ian gillian (if you've seen the highway star music video you know what I'm talking about)
Such a great tune/guitar playing/drums. Those were the days...
Nugent is an example of artists who started off in the 60s and sort of peaked around this time, playing live. They perfected and professionalized what they did, while still being able to combine that with lots of energy and dynamics.
BTW, I long back for the days when we were just having fun playing air guitar to this kind of music, as schoolboys and politics was the furthest thing from our minds.
Charlie Huhn is one of my all time favorites.
this. is. rock and roll.
Ted's Amazing!!!!!
Go Ted you are my favorite in the world I love you rock and roll Just What the Doctor Ordered it rocks
The man can jam on the guitar, that's for sure!
This is exactly why ITedwill always be one of my favorites -I mean just listen.

Ted rocks. Libs walk.

Got me an overdose of rock n roll!
The Nuge and Derek; symbiotic👌
Uno de los mejores guitarrista de todos los tiempos y uno de mis favorito
1st concert I ever went to was Ted. Houston TX. Stranglehold!
An overdose of rocknroll ... my anthem since I was 12 - that was 1972 :) ... not knowing Ted then
Awesome !!!!
probably the best live version.
What a legend!!!!
Derek St. Holmes!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
timeless Icon and Insane
Dear crew at rnr tv.thanks amillion for these uloads. I first heard Ted back in 76 he played here once. Yeah. Once. Seeing this , its the same. A blast. Thank you
The best post 70's JWTDO I have seen !
Classic!
I'm so grateful you have some iconic vids to watch your Dad working his talent and craft. My son is a professional drummer on tour hundreds of days every year. I at least have vids to watch myself. God Bless
America 110 percent..., Without A DOUBT !!!!!!
Awesome song
Awesome!!!!!!!!
Excellent tune. One of Ted's best compositions from his brief but productive late-70's period--over 40 years with nothing even approximating this to follow. There's only one Nuge.
Never Stop Believing. But then you are entitled to your opinion.
rocknroll112955 ??
JC Haywire Every album of Ted's is fantastic. Maybe the Nugent album isn't the best, I'll agree. But the rest are killers.
Teds top of the heap cool.
Man Derek really belts out this song
Ted might be the only one EVER to let his guitar take a bow.
Ted I just heard them use this riff in a Farxiga commercial
sicken boy!
Now that's a r&r tune!!
Great!!
look at him, just look at him!!!!!
trippen back and login it. I need that Dr.
2022 jun Still rocking out to this awesomeness!!!!!!❤️
Sweet Thing!!!!!!
Derek launched Ted's career!
No way!
Ted's rock star persona really comes out on this song, that's for sure.
Uncle Ted for president.
He's the good and he know's it He's the best and everyone else knows it
Finest Detroit Rock and Roll Guitar, ever...
A lot of get rock came of Michigan, Bob Seger, The Stooges, Grand Funk Railroad and many more.
Ted's still not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Dolly Parton is. That pretty much says all you need to know about the Hall's credibility.
No disrespect to Ted. I'm a fan and have seen him many times over the decades but at this point I'll only go see him when Derek is with him. It's just not the same without those vocal on those classic songs. It makes no sense that they aren't a permanent team. The magic they create together is far greater than the sum of their parts.
Where did this ENTERTAINMENT GO?? Great music... Excitement! No Talent Sad Rap replaces this???? NOT!!!
Ted is the man.
I think they meant... Derek St. Holmes - Just what the doctor ordered. He never needed Ted, but Ted sure needed him.
Me likee rock 'n' roll so much!
Ted's the best
at 1.49 ted allows derek st. holmes guitar to be heard!! and be seen to be heard!!!!!
Cousin Ted is the best
Derek definitely adds a lot to the band
No doubt about it the man played a mean ass guitar.
Playin killer Rock n roll with your shades on! How cool is that?
That singer is a bad brother! 🤠
Derek St. Holmes, off the Indian reservation! Nugent was the Motown studio sound at 14!
Ted didn't use those sonic screwdriver Gibson Les Pauls like virtually everyone else. Thank St. Peter!!
Dereks rhythm playing was damn good also
Young TED.........NUFF SAID 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤪👍👍✌🇺🇸
this just gets better with age
now he parades around in a cowboy hat and a mic attached to his head, and minus St Holmes, this is vintage and the best Ted
Rock Star
Just what the doctor ordered on this day off!
Looks like Derek’s the only one not letting loose and having fun
