What I love about this truck is not just how cool it looks but the fact that it is actually used as a work vehicle on a daily basis. If this green giant would have a soul, it is undoubtedly a happy soul.
My father owned a 49 KB9. When you widened the fenders I groaned. When you decided to do a tilt hood, I thought who is going to pull that hood open. Having seen the finished product I take all my doubts back. Excellent job. It’s good to see the old work horse becoming a truck better suited to today’s world and back working.
This is like 20 years ago 😂
If you like the post war IH KB trucks look up '47 International KB12 part 1&2. Old Don at Gold King mine built this one and is giving it a nice workout. Unfortunately we lost Don a couple years back but his son took over and the truck is still there. Cheers! 👊😎👍
I've got a 55 Dodge C3H. The pick-up cab on a 171" truck is what makes it cool. It's like intimate inside. You sure can tell these vids are a Discovery Channel thing. I find it hard to believe Ian has never heard of GM's Futureliners from the Parade of Progress tours of the 1930s or never heard of a hit & miss engine ...
It was great to see this rig again
Wow Ian well done your are a genius on metal. Take care and be safe
When I saw the early footage, I thought the truck was a KB-12 or KB-14. Marvelous trucks, the KBs, we had a KB-7 and a KB-8 on the farm when I was a teenager. Congratulations on an awesome build. So well thought out and executed. I’m jealous too. 😊
I love watching this guy work!
Wow, Ian! Sliding the nose forward and then tilting it may eliminate the need to trim the fenders and hood on my project. Great idea! Thanks!
Wow!!!!!! What a beautiful truck. So very cool custom stuff. An awesome resto mod big truck.
So incredibly cool! LOVE this truck! A retro working modern truck. Just mind blowing in its beauty. Awesome work.
I admire you all your projects are amazing and you show your hidden talents in every one of them. i love what you do. Thank you for sharing your talent.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That was a great video and I really enjoyed watching it. Well done on the end product. Great truck.
My man's got a working truck that can go out and win shows on it's days off. Seriously, how freakin' cool is that?
Brilliant...less is more...Ian you are a master.
Wow such a beautiful creation. I had to subscribe for more.
That was freaking awesome man. Love your creative ideas. Just a beautiful truck man. Totally awesome
A really excellent result. Well done!
Awesome build
Not only for showing , but a real work horse, what is this Truck cool, and the colour too. Good build !!.
Superb conversion & so good to see an International back on the Road 👍
Awesome build!
I want to do basically the exact same thing with a school bus I have, and a 50-52 chev AD pickup. Everything (except the paint, I'd have taken that a lot further) about this build is exactly what I want to do, even the hood idea is spot on.
Cat 3126, Allison auto, 5 ton chassis, hydraulic disc brakes
Fork yeah!
Great build and the result is A1. I would really like to see some footage of the cab’s interior, how you integrated old and new dash, gauges and so forth. Thanks for all the effort in making these videos and taking us armchair “experts” (🤪) along for the ride.
What a craftsman!
And a truck that pays it's own way - Not Trailer Queen
Awesome work!
Nice to see the old cable t.v. content "Retold" & repackaged for binge work.
🤟🏽🐻
That’s absolutely awesome love it
Great guy, good energy, clear smart and multi talented ❤️
I so much loves your work, you're a complete inspiration,so creative
Great show
Just plain kool, Ian!
Very educational, going to be a very nice looking truck when all fixed up
A craftsman building a truck,
And creating Bill's dream!
That is a FINE working truck.
Very sharp looking truck! Wow!
One of the best that you have done
First truck I drove was a KB 8 dump truck but there the similarity stops...what a beautiful job job and cool result.
awesome idea! awesome creation! Viva Ian!
Good job well done.❤😮❤
This show, Alone (reality tv compitition of who can last longest in the wilderness), and Gas Monkey Garage (kind of) were the only shows I missed when we cancelled our Direct TV.
That was awesome very creative
Ian you are a Smart Man and a Great Artist
You did an excellent job. It looks very nice and I bet you don’t see any of them around then. Well like that so good luck God bless.
The best custom build i`ve seen
This was one of my favorite builds, right up there with the VW van hotrod
I just found your videos they are good
Another fantastic bui🎉
One He'll of A Truck. Great Job. And The Only One In The World.
Well Done U Guys.
Master piece
Love watching them thank you
IAN YOU ARE A GREAT GUY
Awesome _ Great Ideas
Very Very good job congratulações, became a beatiful Truck Brasil
Nice job
wish the interior had been available to see how Bill finished it off. I can only imagine...using the later model seats & the original dash.
Wow that is cool
My personal favorite in the antique engine world is the McCormick Deering throttle governed. Not a "Hit & Miss" like most of them. They have a pleasant sound/beat and look nice.
Ian, the latest video on our channel is on Fort Auto Parts. (located about 60-miles from Tucson raceway) a TON of early (old) cars & trucks. 40s/50s/60s ALL FOR SALE. We highlight a 50s Pontiac with perfect stainless waterfall and dash, herd of great condition Nash Metropolitans and even a 1st gen Mustang. Would love to see what you could do with some of them. TY for more great content.
That was a awesome journey love every minute thank you for bring us along !❤
Those antique engines are called "hit & miss" engines. They "hit," or fire below a determined speed, and "miss" (don't fire) if the speed limit is exceeded. Basically, a way of governing the speed of the engine without an actual governor.
They made them in 4-stroke, mainly, but there are 2-strokes as well.
Very cool old IH
Dude, it's awesome, I am a trucker
I like the interesting music.
I was thinking a step at the license plate with a handle on the hood to open. spring loaded struts to help.
International cabovers in the late 70's and 80's had a hand/ Air operated pump to raise the cabs. If you didn't have air for some reason you could manually raise it with hand pump. It looked similar to the hand pump you were using. You could flip the control switch for up and down and pump in both directions. 😢
The red truck is based on GM's Big Red! It was in Speed Racer as the Mammoth Car!!😊
2 words, " Bad Ass".
I want one!
when is the falcon body swap show going to come out for watch
Yes that is killer truck Peace out
Now we know where Ian got the idea for his VW doors
The weird firing engines are called Hit & Miss engines. Eddie
How about posting a video of it actually running and driving?
Ian, check out Johnathan W. He build Everything 😂😂😂!!!
Enjoyed multiskilled person.
I thought I was going to watch a RUclips video not a tv show
How can I send my project
👍
K 12?
like it
with your love for toehold hit and miss motors, you need tp checkout Old Threshers in Mt. Pleasant IA . steam engines meca! tractors, motors, steam engine trains, old trolleys , antique cars, everything early that built this country!
38:46
you sir are a freaking genius! well maybe more like wili'e coyote type genius. where in the hell are the inspectors? wont be good unless they give their approval
I love this guy ❤ ur amazing sir 🫡🫡
Ian I am in San Diego I got a car I want done any chance you can do it $$$?
That’s a pleasure to see, built,,thank you ,sir..👍🏽👍🏽🇦🇺😎Mr👽sir..
My dad got a 46 ford truck we put 289 hi put it in 18:48 with a four speed this was in 67 then take a part
There's 2 things I can see becoming a problem later with this. 1. that trailer hitch tubing needs nylon bushings, that's going to get grimed up and rusted and you're never going to get that open in the winter time. 2. I wish they did more video on servicing the engine.
This is just way too commercialized. I prefer videos like Diesel Creek and Scrappy Industries instead.
How about a 13 speed
Old man should have let you painted it Tonka yellow because of his grandson
Dave kindig build a whole one
Yeah yeah the music: too loud and distracting 😭
Old School Truck....one word comes to mind "BITCHEN' Javi G.
the guy he built this for is dead now , this is an old episode
What's his name?
Good build, bad music.
Stop the music it's irritating.
Right
Don’t stop the music totally, perhaps only when you’re explaining what you’re doing to your builds …. Always good to have some music ! AMAZING WORK 👍👍👍👍
That's why I like closed captioning, which not every youtuber does. I can mute the music, play Pandora or SiriusXM and when they have something to say, I just read the captioning.
youve clearly NEVER watched the show
I agree. I hate this generic music on these videos.
Lots of wasted unrecyclable wood..could give them life again.
How would you rather hear the talking in that damn noise music
No shit. That is a girl. No way???
Too much talking not enough action
Yep so. Shut up and do something 😊
That bus, or bus/pickup looking thing, which I pray to gawd is NOT one of the original and extremely rare GM Futurliners. To the very best of my knowledge, those were all buses. It should be a crime to take an antique like that and do what that person did to it, and I don't give a flying damn how good a job they did. GM literally only made 12 of them; of which, 9 are known to have survived.
That's assuming that that is an original, which I highly doubt that it is, but people in general are stupid a*holes. I saw Jesse James of West Coast Choppers and Monster Garage fame literally destroy a one-of-a-kind vehicle, the only known surviving example of that vehicle in the entire world, by chopping it up and turning it into a lawn mower or something.
So I don't put anything past anyone. Still, given how rare those things are, it's more than likely a reproduction on a more modern chassis. I hope to hell it is, because as far as I'm concerned, chopping and channeling and all the things we/they did in the old days should be a capital offense - except that's too good for anyone who would do that kind of thing. Sadly.
I agree . Ian usually uses parts and pieces to create his vision . Not like some of these others you see.
dude you're fucked in the head
