I share your passion for VW BUGS.... SUCH POTENTIAL, BECAUSE THE ROUNDED SHAPE IS WHAT DESIGNERS BEGIN WITH WHEN BEGINING A DESIGN... BASIC... ROUND PREPARING FOR REFINING ... I ESPECIALLY LOVE HOW YOU EXTENDED THE HOOD TO act as the whole top of front clip.... And ATHOSE HEAD LITES ACCENTUATE THE CLEANLINESS OF THE HOOD... ABSOLUTELY a BEAUTIFULL USE OF CLEAN SPANS OF STEEL... LIKE THE HOOD
1st. Thing I want to say is, You Sir Are The Master of Full Custom Auto No Second To Anyone I've Seen Ever PERIOD!!! Anyways, I probably had & have been trying to catch up on the VW Bug you were starting on after selling your Blue Bug to The Haywards from Canada, I wondered if it was ever finished along with the Henry J Pro Street which by the way One Bad A$$ Looking Ride..though I really wanted to see the episode on the VW Bug(it seems that was your vision too ie; Pro Street VW Bug). It is and still is an episode..I haven't seen, please let me know that it's available to watch or in the process of completion..Thank You, Master Ian Sir!!!.
If I were rich, I would have you customize my 1971 Karmann Ghia….👍🏻 I just turned 70 in March 🙄 and just having my Ghia, to take to local Shows is a lot of Fun …! You are by far one of the best fabricators I have watched on RUclips….❤️👍🏻👍🏻
Karmann is located in Osnabrück, Germany. They were specialized in convertibles. Their first was however the Ghia. Later the beetle convertible and also for BMW. I used to live in that area.
Love the background music and a great show. Ian has to be the best. I remember back when Winfield was going in all the magazines so I’m old enough to know been a body man mechanic my whole life even in the Air Force. I wish Ian was around when I was young and getting started.
Man I'd love to see where these cars are now n these episodes are a little older so I mean something has to have come of it. Great stuff reminds me of watching Saturday morning power block with my dad
Gente o iam e outros lanterneiros fazem transformações e eu faço também em miniaturas compro ou acho 1 carrinho e os transformo isso é ótimo seja de verdade ou réplica e muito bom
i have a 63 that needs some work but has a new pan then i have a 74 runs and drives also have a 72 bus trans axle with a 1600 doula port engine few new parts like electronic disruptor all are rust free selling all for 2500. i am more into chevys and fords but it was fun having baja bugs to drive around on the dirt roads i live by
I like the way Ian talks & tells what he is doing … sounds a lot like the Teutels from American Chopper, but a bunch much smarter. Great work Ian. PS: I once had a 1974 VW Beetle.
Holy shit I couldn't stop watching the video AMAZING, I thought the trike with the Goldwing engine was really something but this is a whole new ball game. The shit that comes out of your head AMAZING.
Great video, I've been around bugs since the 70's and its always nice to see one tricked out. Great work. How did you get it back onto the floor pan? Was there much modification needed with the narrowing of the body? Did you make a video of that part? Again great job!!!! Bug On....
I have a difficult time with when these cars get built. It seems like they are also at different shops. Sometimes it shows he has multiple cars under construction. Do you burn out on one and go back to it later? I wish I knew what this couple paid for the bug and what they expect to put into the Henry J.
I wonder when we can see how this second Bug is built until it is finished, I have searched for the continuation of this Customizing on RUclips and I have not been able to see how that narrower body fits on the original chassis of a VW Bug. Does anyone know if there is a continuation of this second modified Bug? It is the best way I have seen to cut a Bug and I would like to follow the steps to chop my Bug. I follow Ian's personal RUclips channel and he doesn't have these videos.
Thats bitchin' they've built these in the UK and Europe using stretched front axle from a ford. Try and build one with a Bellamy Split front axle. Now that would be bitchin', in white, red ford wires or even some rare allard rims, and tuning parts from EMPI and Speedwell UK BRM alloys. Could you imagine a proper surf rod, two single seats, one behind the other and the the rear converted into a hatch front engined, say a 3cyl gti UP!!!. And the boards slide in next to the driver, the suits and stuff down the passenger side. Pale go man go colour from mopar and replica or real cookies or gas burners or speedwell brm rims. You did a Bellamy Split without realising it.
I wish you wouldnt show any clips at all of even the working concept stage of design, much less towards the finished product..were all here because we know hes one of the best theres ever been and we dont need a teaser to stick around or be convinced what he makes will be legendary
My mother has the same type of family name: Busschaert & Bouchard are related. They will not be able to change the music as this was recorded a decade ago.
Are you paid by the word? Do you get bonus points for repeating your 7 thoughts over and over? Do a podcast or build a car, doing both at the same time isn't working for you.
No, hell no. Damn it, not every car has to be or look like a chop top 32 ford rat rod! Try coming up with something truly original for once, think outside the box!👎👎👎
This show is going to be HUGE. Mark my words. The format is brilliant.
Except the show is already a huge success, IT's a Tv reality show with 9 seasons under it's belt,.

Watching from the land downunder Sydney NSW
I have a design for a custom bug that I think Ian would be the man to build !
100% yes.
Love what you are doing Ian you're the man From scrap to useful car.

This man has no fear in the shop. Anything is on the table.
I love them, I mean bugs are simple the best look
Lovin it from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦
Sir You Are Good At this IMO
Outstanding Ian!!
Loving it.. real skills !

Would have loved to see fenders over the front wheels, small motorcycle fenders would really give it a hot rod look.

Ian Roussel and Victor are building a car again on Ian's own channel at full custom Ian.

I've watched this episode so many times but I've never seen the finished project. Where's part two of this video?
Blown away!
i would sheet metal in rear window. use side mirrors.. possibly moon roof.

Repeat business is good! Eddie
This thing looks like a Plymouth Prowler without the fenders
Adding Fenders might be a good idea ! I think that I might have used different set of headlights !
With a Porche engine it was a perfect ride
some good sage wisdom in there Ian, cant believe how fast time has flown
Everywhere ya look there's bugs😳😂😂😂

what A great mind
Very I,pressed with the chop, and how you minimized the work. Metalworker myself.
Mark and Don Tostensen look alot alike...
Re-imagined, I think it should have been that way from the start
Hay guy put suasaide doors on it I see your plan I think if you change the doors it would look great
#KGO ➡️
Very bug like pick up😂🤣
The talky talky bits have a Bachelor show vibe. As such, I will marry you.
👍
Good 👍 but we M music
the thing that annoys me about this or any other mechanical show is they seem to think we all sit wearing welding masks to watch it
I always thought Richard Rawlings' guys were hacks until I saw Ian's stuff.
Ian doesn't have anything to do with Richard Rawilings & Gas Monkey Garage. GMG is located in Dallas, Tx. Ian is out in the desert in California.
@@jasonbrooks254 I know and didn’t state anything different. Ian makes those 20 foot cars, any closer and you see the work for what it is.
Who the hell is this thing that's stupid music just runs the whole experience

You copy the black bug that you were looking at it look just like your bug!
Im just watching waiting on outcome but I think you are better than this
So you cut a large back window and get an oval…
Ummmm,…..people been making stretched and chopped rat rod bugs for years bro.
like 784
Please get rid of the background music, completely ruined the show for me.
You do realise these are all old episodes of his tv show?
My mother has the same type of family name: Busschaert & Bouchard are related. They will not be able to change the music as this was recorded a decade ago.
I did, turned the sound off, and just watched the magic flow....🎉
you do realise this is an old show from discovery…. NOT Ians choice for the background music…. ITS ALL DISCOVERY
Start your own channel. That's so primadona

Fake chanel
How dare you!!!
It's not the chanel from Ian
