Ngl that 5th person in the world to do the itemless blue lake skip is tempting

I've done it with a different setup on the first jump. As someone who isn't really into skips and didn't use 50 fps either, I can confirm the skip is pretty nasty and took me a few days to do.
Every single skip was normal and then there’s just a gruz Mother out of the arena
i would say that the glitched ones aren't that normal either

And I'm proud of myself for being able to do the normal (dash and claw) shade skip.
I have successful this skip once (I have doing difficulty doing only a shade or a minor pogo skip)

Thanks for the shoutout! I must say though I definitely didn't discover float (a thing since almost as early as HK's initial release ruclips.net/video/PBPcSs52D08/видео.html) or wall cling storage. I know what you meant and I'm happy to have passed along some tricks I was familiar with which you got the hang of quickly, but I don't want anyone to start wrongly crediting myself with inventing that stuff or being the first to do it. Great Blue Lake showcase nonetheless :)

also I just wanted to mention that technically speaking, all the shade skips are just easier versions of the itemless shade skip :)

The very first one is the one I use to get in normally.
I actually managed to do an itemless (not really) shade skip. I used only long nail and vengeful spirit, and I somehow made it to blue lake. I was going to get dream nail but the last platform to where xero is can only be done with dash, and I already failed with the husk sentry.
Edit: I just did a shade skip with only dash and vengeful spirit :D
All of those needed the shade or wings or cdash.
Speedrun where you go this way not using the shade; you have to go to Crystal Peaks to get the cdash and Fungal Wastes to get the claw.
Or my favorite, rescuing Sly without killing the Grus Mother.
You have to go through the City of Tears and many items to do so.
That reminds me, does having the Kingsoul equipped when you die give the shade infinite soul to cast spells, or do you still need to kill it and die again to replenish it's soul meter?
In any case, you are very good to even try these, much less do them.
well i did put randomizer only in the top right to try to point out that those skips wouldn’t be useful in a vanilla setting

Wouldn’t the itemless shade skip make low% godhome ending no longer get fireball since you can reach claw and dash through that skip, and you already need to defeat Gruz mother? Or is the pogos shown in your “areas without abilities” only possible with long nail?
Gruz mother in colosseum unlocks them in godhome without giving a percent.

@@calvindang7291 how recent is this info? I ask since both the 47% godhome ending clear by GeneralMilky as well as the any% godhome ending speedrun wr gets gruz mother in her normal spot and that seems like crucial info to a lower percentage and a faster time if you are right.

Wait a moment. There's an itemless blue lake skip? Wouldn't that, in combination with a bunch of the cursed AF skips from the "visit areas without items" run, allow you to pick up shade soul without picking up vengeful spirit or incurring other completion?
I might've just discovered a route that can shave hours off of low% Godholm.
well shade soul without vs was already possible and also getting shade soul would give you a %
Well done, if you look up a RUclipsr named lumos, not only did he do this , but it actually added 4 more hours to the run

because you cant get infected crossroads itemless or with just wings

@@epicwhitetiger2222 easiest way is using debug mod no clip and zooming out really far to see the gruzzers but in sure you could do it without mods as well

dash + claw is used in any%
fireball + dash is used in te
cdash + claw is used in 112
im pretty sure gh% uses the fireball only method or the itemless method
there could be some others that im unaware of
