layperson? is that newspeak for layman? Pretty cringe bro... It doesn't mean what you're intending it to. If anything you just called yourself a churchgoer which would be a -1000 on your woke social credit score.
@@GoatDust just because you don't understand how language works doesn't mean the rest of us are as dumb as you. if you took 2 seconds to use google you'd have seen another definition of "layperson" that means "a person without professional or specialized knowledge in a particular subject" not necessarily referring to the church in anyway--which anyone not trying to act cool on the internet would know. In this video, Michael Brown has the specialist knowledge and I don't. Therefore, I'm a layperson when it comes to understanding hardware installation compared to the OP. Luckily I already had 98,000 woke social credit points before you erroneously deducted 1000 even though you're wrong and don't understand language etymology, so i guess i'll have to live with my 97,000 woke points.
@@GoatDust I'm trying to figure out which comment is more cringe. I knew what the OP meant as soon as I read his comment. Your comment, being a lame attempt at humor was pretty cringe, bro.
@@actionjackson8439 I knew what he meant as well. In addition, he gave me a very strong reason to suspect that he is in fact very cringe and you are too for defending him. you must be a redditor.
The way you explained it is EXACTLY from the novice's perspective and NOT from another tech expert's perspective. THANK YOU FOR DOING THAT!!! Of course, you know why you do it this way, but many other content creators overlook that perspective and expect idiots like myself to be able to follow their unexplained 'clicks' and 'navigations' through the process. You explained CRITICAL additional information that people like me need to know and I absolutely loved the way you explained everything here. Again, thanks a lot for doing that because someone who is explaining something absolutely needs to cover every single stupid step. The method of actually saying our questions with a follow up of the answer is very helpful. Why is that? Well because you're showing us that you understand what we're struggling with and holding our hand through our struggle; You explain 'A' process, then we say 'hang on, I'm not seeing that on my end!' and you SAY THAT before continuing and then go on to explain EVERYTHING. That is how you do it Ladies and Gentlemen!
For those who tried doing this but no pop up window occurred when you clicked on disk management. Restart the computer properly again. I did that and it worked for me. Big shoutout to this guy for making this work!
In most videos, I watch about installations I either lose track of what's going on or it's very unclear or hard to follow but this video was amazing at guiding me to help install my SSD card. Deffently recommend re-watching any more videos if i need help, thanks a lot
You are so amazing for this. Simple, step by step, little to no way of getting your instructions wrong. I love it and this video solved my problem in a quick 3 minutes.
Honestly cannot believe I’ve never knew about having to do this whole process after installing a new drive, was pretty scared for a moment when I didn’t see it pop up in file explorer after installing it. Thank you so much, incredibly helpful
You're a godsend, I just upgraded to a 2TB SSD and I got so scared when it didn't show up but I searched online just in case and found this video. Thank you for making it easy to follow!
You....are amazing. I'm just now installing a secondary SSD in my two year old computer and had the exact problem of not seeing it. Thank you SO MUCH for this tutorial.
just installed my SSD bro I cant express my gratitude tysm pls we need more people like you explaining things you explained it so well and slowly for viewer's
2 years later and you're still helping people. You turn something that had me scratching my head for an hour into a breeze in 3 minutes. Exemplary videography, you should teach classes!
thank you so much for this , i searched you tube to find a video on how to do this and every other video was over complicated , this was easy to follow and worked perfectly , your a life saver
This helped me so much! Thank you! I want to add that when I first installed it, it didn't show up at all when I went to Computer Management. But I restarted my computer and it did an automatic update and appeared after the update under the computer/disk management. Then I followed your steps in the video and it worked perfectly!
Thanks mate, i have watched this video a good 5 times over the years whenever i was installing a new drive to my or someone elses PC. Incredibly helpful and easy explained
Thank you. This was a perfect tutorial. I suck at computers, so I wasn't able to fully understand difference between MBR and GPT even by googling. Same with all the partition options.
Hello , Thank you so much ! I bought another SSD to upgrade memory of my pc , and your video helped me to enable ssd !! appreciate your style of teaching this simple but complicated process!! 😇 I wish all tutorials be like this
Thank you so much, I was wondering why my new drive wasn't working. And now that you have made this quick and easy guide on how to. It helped me out so much.
Thank you for a very helpful video! You are the first person to mention the M.2 and SATA ports being disabled. Same exact thing happend to me since I have 2 M.2 SSDs and now I got a SATA SSD to replace my old HDD. For the last day or soo I've been losing my mind trying to figure out why it wouldn't show up and I thought that the last 2 SATA ports died.
this video absolutely saved me. i am so clueless with technology & simply could not find out why my drive was not showing up anywhere other than the task manager "Performance" tab. now i'm all set & can use this new SSD that i struggled to install. i'm so relieved to know that i didn't somehow install it incorrectly.... that would've been such a pain to fix. thank you on so many levels!
Thank you! Quick and concise; I knew this previously but have not installed an SSD in YEARS, so this was an excellent refresher with no fluff or unnecessary babbling like so many how-to videos. :)
I looked at 3 articles first that didn't help whatsoever, then I watched this video and 2 minutes later, problem solved. Straight to the point, thanks!
This is a Very good video to watch if you just got a new storage device, I just got an evme for the first time and was wondering why nothing was show so I watched this thanks!
Thank god this video exists. Everything I was reading online sounded like a new language, and based on what I read and tried I thought my SSD didnt work lol this was the most helpful video ive ever witnessed thank you sir, you made my night.
Thank you , the NOTE at the End of the video is SUPER IMPORTANT, i didn't know this back when i bought my first m.2 drive, and i was confused for few days
This was super helpful for 2 reasons, Number one we were able to fix the above issue on my husband's new computer he build, and second, I had gotten a pre-build PC a while back and it was supposed to have more storage and we could not access the second drive, turns out it was just unallocated >.> fixed that real quick you just got me another terabyte of storage lmao THANK YOU!!!
I've been watching videos for about 2 hours now and none helped me... not even 3 minutes into your video my new m.2 is initialized and working. thanks!
Damn man, you're a life saver : I was about to follow some very complex processes I found on forums and maybe mess everything up. Now it runs perfectly and easily!
Thank you for this video. You did it straight to the point with the most necessary information - especially the m.2 and sata port compatibility which depends on the motherboard
this was unbelievably helpful. simple and easy to follow for a layperson like me pretending to be a computer person. thank you so much, Michael.
