I discovered Rival Sons by seeing the new Chevrolet Silverado truck commercial...able to pick out a few lyrics, I went in search of who it was! I loved it the minute I played it! Hope to see them live soon!!! These guys kick ass!
Letterman always seemed to have the highest strike rate among late night talk shows (past and present) for good live performances. Some kind of magical elixir of performance, audio quality and atmosphere.
Rival Sons are hands down the best band in at least 25 yrs.Jay Buccannon sounds like Rodgers,Plant,Tyler,and Eric Burdon all with his own spin.Simply the best rock vocalist today.

I almost got to meet Jay but he hopped into an Uber when we were pulling up. We woulda given him a ride anywhere! When we pulled up he was standing out front and like a groupie I pointed at him saying there’s Jay and he smiled. I almost jumped out of the car but couldn’t leave my wife like that lol. He was gone in a flash. I got to hang with Dave for a few, seemed like a nice guy but hard not to be nice to a fan in love with them I suppose lol. I have some vids on my channel of that show. I was blown away. Jay was horse at the end, playing this little club in Richmond VA, he sang like it was his last night on earth. They are such a great band, I wish them the greatest success. Every guy is so talented and Scott has a true style. Many great guitar players don’t have their own unique style but Scott’s is undeniably unique and so noticeable. I have a cover band and we do three of their songs. I hope I get to meet them some day. I told my family, when I die, I want Jordan played at my service and may add ‘I know you want to’, ‘Pressure and time’, ‘Manifest Destiny’ and a few more. Make them feel the soul, that one too lol.
This whole lp is hardwired into my psyche. The song Belle Star is pure transcendence. Three frikken secret weapons in this band. Super tasty and for the song guitarist. Amazing frikken drummer,especially on the aforementioned Belle Star. With a force of nature wailing over top of it all. Perfection! Oh yeah theres a bassist too.
