One of my favorite songs. Got to see these guys in concert and man they were great.
Only a few songs stand the test of time. It's 40 years on and these guys still rock!
I honestly can't listen to this song without smiling!! :)
I'd recommend anyone to see The Proclaimers live - They're frigging epic!
Totally agree. Seen them a few years ago. Outstanding.
I can’t stop watching this! I never knew who sang this song and now that I know, I’ll continue to follow these brothers. They’re great and Letterman is a hoot!

While I'm worth my room on this Earth, I will be with you. While the Chief puts sunshine on Leith, I'll thank Him for His work.
Divine ... literally.
Hence the power of the musical "Sunshine on Leith" (film version is just GREAT)
I'm English, BTW, but love you anyway...
I MEAN IT!!!
My little brother, Billy, saw the Letterman broadcast and immediately knew I’d like the music. Been a Proclaimers fan ever since. BBC Scotland made a movie musical called Sunshine on Leith, starring Scottish actors, and although can’t be played on North American devices, is available in its entirety, on RUclips. Very well done, and the much older Proclaimers have a cameo in it. Great flick and great music. Check it out!
Have always loved this song, all my friends thought me weird 😁 Must be my Scottish blood kicking in.💙
This is our old rugby song. If we were in a pub and this song came on, we would be up on the tables singing along.
even his laugh has a scottish accent
You never hear them laugh
@@ScottieWallace dadala da
@Jake W they are scottish my friend
I was in the US in 1989, but I didn't hear of these guys until recently. I'm very impressed; they probably had to do a lot of rehearsal for what, 3 minutes of playing time, yet they were very humble and professional about it, not a hint of arrogance about them. Good on you guys, I really respect you!
My Super Duper favorite until now! Feels like im in heaven wow! Iloveyousomuch "Proclaimers"...Thankyousomuch for your beautiful song wow! Iloveyou till the last of my breath 💕💓💖❣💗💞❤
