100%!! Jay Buchanan is a power house singer! Full of soul and passion and knows when to hold em' and when to let loose. Amazing artist and all the guys in Rival Sons. 🤟🏽🙏
This song captures perfectly the feeling of nostalgia for me, that ache in your heart for a place that no longer exist. For me, 1982 Delta Colorado, Friday night, off work from Terrell's Restaurant, cruising Main Street, house parties later, I was 19, young and free and i didn't even know it. Memories lost and forgotten like tears in the rain...
Reminds me of the good times of living and working in June Lake, CA. Was a time I will never forget. And a time I will never get back ever again because of the times we live in now. At least I had that time.
Exactly, nostalgia, years gone by thinking of all the good times. Meeting good people and lasting friendships. But those special times are gone but never lost in my library of memories!
This man could sing the phone book and make it a beautiful electric experience everyone would never forget! Rival sons are so unique and talented beyond belief.
Unfortunately I just discovered this band a few days ago! I feel like I’ve missed so much but I’m making up for it!! Damn this lead singer’s voice got me!! 😭😭💯♥️
@@jbeattie86 I am late to the RS party too, but that Hopelessly cover is where I first heard these guys. I was like what in the sam hill is this?? Holy heck was I blown away. I just love to hear and watch Jay sing!
The entire band is very talented, no doubt, but Jay's voice is soul crushingly good. His vocals just cut right through you ... and you feel it whether you want to or not. What a n amazing gift from God!
In the spirit of my dear Bowl Of Chaos, I wish he could. At least she'd still live. At least despite both of our efforts to keep her alive, she would still be us. I still miss her to this day.
This was my parents song at their wedding 47 years ago and my Mother died a few years ago... I can't hardly listen to it now. However, I have heard ALOT of Bands cover it and I personally like the Rolling Stones and did not EVER feel any Band even KINDA prevailed. RUclips "picked" this for me because I had searched up Rival Sons because I dig "The Worst" but, I would have not played this song on PURPOSE because like I said.. I can't hardly bring myself to listen to it since my Mama died AND I wouldn't have "clicked" on ANYBODY but the Stones! BUT>> OMG!!! This Jay guy is the SHIT!!! I mean this is the BEST version of this song that I have ever had the GREAT LUCK to find!! I mean I was absolutely impressed!! This Band Rival Sons is the BOMB, I had already decided that! ANY band that Dave Cobb has ANYTHING to do with is IMPRESSIVE BUT OMG!! I am calling my Father as soon as I get done writing this comment because he will be equally impressed and he is a HUGE lifetime long Stones Fan and not easily swayed! But, I am positive he will agree with me on this!
This is beautiful but also check out the Sundays version. It got me years ago. Sorry for the loss of your mother years ago. She forever remains a part of you.
I think Jay is the only singer I've ever heard that sings louder than me. Almost all sing better than me lmao, but he belts it out in a way that most people stray away from in order to have better control. The fact that he has the control and range he has, at such a belting level, is incredible.
I love people who can belt like this... there's an acoustic version of Face of Light that is fascinating to see cuz he moves sooo far away from the mic, he's a great example of a singer who has mastered their voice. ❤
I like these ole boys. They remind me of the folks I grew up around. They sung out of their pain and struggle. It's almost like I can hear some sleepless nights and hungry days in their voices.
I can't get enough of listening to this rendition! Incredible! I was lucky enough to see this band in the last 2 years at House of Blues Anaheim. I was so close and it was unbelieveable!! Must see!!!!!!!!
I met Jay and scott after a Leeds gig, years ago, Jay was humble, kind and a bit spiritual, Scott was chilled out. Rival Sons still make music every bit as good as the start
Cool performance and shouting!! Super gorgeous interior!! Any drinks are so delicious there owing to the overwhelming atmosphere. I often play the Stones tunes with my guitars plugged in on the street.
Awesome and such a great voice reminds me of my younger days sitting around the fire with friends playing acoustic guitar and bunch of us singing and smoking dope thankyou
Fantastic version! I swear Jay is possessed of a song-demon who cracks his face open and rages through sometimes. Let there be no exorcisms, for this beastie rules the raw nature of Song. Unreal.
One of my favorite Stones songs and you done it very good justice. When you spend your life running from the pain you sometimes look different doing it. Makes you very special. Nicely done.
Lets not lie, we've all replayed 4:51 over and over again 🔥
Fucken rights lol
Some real good stuff…yes, youth remembered, the intensity filled with fear, now old setting remembering the heat

I don't forget times like that. Songs like these always bring them back.
A perfect memory for you and everyone who reads your comment who hears a song like this and it haunts them good and bad like tears in the rain.

Homage to Graham Parsons or Stones?
That "After we die" knocked me out of my chair, jesus
I knew Jay singing the chorus in a higher register was coming but it still took me by surprise and blew me away!!
Been coming here everyday since I discovered this. Anyone else?
You should check out U.S. Royalty, specifically the Mirrors album.
🙋♂️
Amen to that
Per il momento e' la 1' volta poi si vedra'
Me too!!!!!-!
Incredibly good-moved this old heart
We need this cover on Spotify NOW!!
My girl said she would let it be our wedding song if they released it!
Love the ache in his voice.......beautiful!
that guy can sing his ass off. you rarely ever see god given talent like that these days
Sadly most people will never see it and if they do, theres only a few thatll capture it...
There's plenty of it. Sadly, it just doesn't get to the ears of the general public.
Jay Buchanan. He has one of the most powerful voices I've seen live. My wife and I just saw them open for STP and Smashing Pumpkins. Man can he sing!
What a performance absolutely hypnotic, that’s how you do a classic!
Damn...hes got some pipes. Excellent performance and so soulful. Love this Stones song!
WHAT A VOICE WHAT A VOICE WHAT A VOICE WHAT A VOOOOOOICEEEEEEEEE.....
This man could sing the phone book and make it a beautiful electric experience everyone would never forget! Rival sons are so unique and talented beyond belief.
What a voice... Soulful... so beautiful.
Unfortunately I just discovered this band a few days ago! I feel like I’ve missed so much but I’m making up for it!! Damn this lead singer’s voice got me!! 😭😭💯♥️
Search for their cover of hopelessly devoted to you from grease your welcome
Welcome to the amazing side of modern music, check out Teskey Brothers They’re an Australian band up and coming
@@jbeattie86 I am late to the RS party too, but that Hopelessly cover is where I first heard these guys. I was like what in the sam hill is this?? Holy heck was I blown away. I just love to hear and watch Jay sing!
Im on the same boat😅
I literally cannot believe I discovered this band and this voice only yesterday. This is absolutely astonishing.
Buckle up! It's a hell of a ride!!
This is one of the most beautiful renditions of this song I've ever heard.
THAT VOICE!!! Probably my absolute favourite voice of this modern era
Every time I hear this version, I'm reminded that it is indeed, wonderful to be alive. Rival Sons = the BEST rock band working today. Don't stop.
Thanks for the consistent support. I'm honored of you as a supporter. How are you doing today?
Without doubt the best cover I've heard of this song. Almost as good as the original...outstanding.
Check out The Sundays cover of this. It's pretty killer. Harriet Wheeler does it justice.
Much better than the original, in my opinion.
Amazing. So nice to see Jay behind the guitar, slidding away. Scott, awesome as always. Can't wait for the upcoming Feral Roots release and tour.
The entire band is very talented, no doubt, but Jay's voice is soul crushingly good. His vocals just cut right through you ... and you feel it whether you want to or not.
What a n amazing gift from God!
Never fails to give me shivers...
SUPERB. Top Job.
Just stumbled upon these guys. All I can say is WOW!!!!
Having seen these guys live 4 times i can say that this is exactly how they sound live. Natural talent doesn't need auto tune
DAM STRAIGHT!!
The only thing oddly enough that could destroy his voice is widespread fame and the ensuing long ass tours. Stay bubbling under its better all around.
I enjoy the special irony in this man belting out the lyrics "after we die" with a voice that could wake the dead its so damn powerful!
His voice at 4:57 gave me chills all over my body. Damn, Jay, you’ve melted the cold heart of this old chick. Thank you, luv❣️
Annie
Gave me shivers!!!!
1st song I heard by them bout a week or 2..im hooked..love love love
@MP 81,16,18 CATS Get a life 😂
In the spirit of my dear Bowl Of Chaos, I wish he could. At least she'd still live. At least despite both of our efforts to keep her alive, she would still be us. I still miss her to this day.

I love Keith’s the worst! Great song.
Me thinks it's the best flipping cover of it anyone ever did. I bet Sir Mick got tears in his eyes too...
I agree
This is beautiful but also check out the Sundays version. It got me years ago. Sorry for the loss of your mother years ago. She forever remains a part of you.
No one else should ever sing this song. No cover can top this.

That vocal octave jump at 4.51. Holy shit! Outstanding.
It gives me goosebumps every time!
Thanks you Jay and Scott.... So beautiful song... With your vibes it's just perfect. Kisses from France ! Hope see you there again on stage
Jay has a real gift. I love all the RS guys, all amazing musicians
I like these ole boys. They remind me of the folks I grew up around. They sung out of their pain and struggle. It's almost like I can hear some sleepless nights and hungry days in their voices.

What a lovely version of a great song. The higher range at the end gave me chills among other things. Wow!
Wow, absolutely speechless.
I met Jay and scott after a Leeds gig, years ago, Jay was humble, kind and a bit spiritual, Scott was chilled out. Rival Sons still make music every bit as good as the start

Once again these guys are fabulous
Fantastic version! I swear Jay is possessed of a song-demon who cracks his face open and rages through sometimes. Let there be no exorcisms, for this beastie rules the raw nature of Song. Unreal.
Just amazing, great cover of a great song .I believe the Stones would approve .

Awesome job, these guys are legit. Favorite band currently.
Wow. I am blown away.
Pure genius talented beyond words Jay and Scott. Rival Sons is Amazing
Beautiful rendition of a 50 year old song. I'd buy this - especially if it was on vinyl.
Twenty four track two inch analog tape lol...
Awesome cover, beatifically done! Thanks so much for your art. This song touches my heart and soul!
hes the best in the business brilliant singer absolutely incredible job, rival sons they are fucking great
The man has soul by the bucket load beautifully performed
Wild Horses is a sing that can make a crooner out of an ordinary singer.
Gawd these dudes are soul people beautiful n flying free!
One of my favorite Stones songs and you done it very good justice. When you spend your life running from the pain you sometimes look different doing it. Makes you very special. Nicely done.
Scott's style is so clear even on this classic song. Love this version. Jay has so much feeling.
Is that the guy that plays guitar with Beth Hart?
This is the only cover of this song I will listen to. These dudes are so good! Thanks for this!
They are so talented! the guitarist is fabulous!!! the band is perfect❤
Such a beautiful ballad sung by a wonderful singer. It literally gave me chills.
check out Chiara Kilchling version.
Wow just found this 25th September 2021, I’m hooked what a great version
It gave me chills when he cut loose on the vocals. Just when I thought rock was on it's last legs.
Wild Horses, 1971.. young and positive..
What is happening to the world now? So much hate and division.. tragic..
Terrific cover! These guys never let me down
Friggin brilliant
What a voice ❤
Beautiful rendition. Had me mesmerized and I loved it
Jay owes me a pint glass. His voice just shattered the full one in my left hand. I'm not upset as much as I am impressed and in awe. Thanks Jay🤘
Whew. Good guitar and that voice!!!
What a vocal performance.
Simply amazing❤️
Always been a fan of these guys.. incredible musicians.. and that’s what I simply love about music
Just beautiful music
What a fabulous voice he has
They alway make me grab the Guitar and play Songs I know for Years. So Inspiring these Guys. Thank you for sharing this.
Me too!
The Stones are billed as the Worlds Greatest Rock-Roll
Sorry I hit the wrong button
The Stone's would be very proud of your rendition, fantastic!
SUPERB. No other word for it.
I agree with you Brian Hendrix, probably one of the best version. I keep coming back too.
I've listened to this about 15 times today! Just blown away by it.
We have to bring it all back to the origins of true blues music to save music in general. Let’s do this!
Awesome music from 2 awesome musicians, just 2 guitars and their voices.
Second song ive heard by Rival sons, 😍 omgosh love this guys voice, so much feeling ❤❤❤❤❤❤
They just keep getting better! Wow...just wow,
I never tire of listening to this. Absolutely wonderful
