Man, Coach T is here coaching me about life... Im extremely grateful for that🙏 hopefully we get more mic'd up from him, I take a lot from his words for myself
I needed to hear this today for my perspective of myself in my career
The most powerful thing he said here was about how just because they were tolerant of certain 💩in the past, doesn’t mean they will tolerate it moving forward! I remember how everyone said Tomlin was losing control of the team because of personalities like ABs came out of nowhere and shocked the world . Tomlin has never let a player act like that before AB and he hasn’t let another act like that ever since AB left . So it reminds me that Tomlin is adapting and evolving year after year and learns from any adversity he faces, and he tries to instill that same mentality in his players but not everyone is mentally fit for the task. 💯
Exactly 💯. Ppl hate Tomlin because he's great at what he does. So if you notice, anytime they talk shit about him it's never anything really about him. They wait till someone else in the Steelers organization is under the microscope.
And his tolerance allowed AB to have a HoF career.

@@jamy8575 your hating on his coaching? So it's still hate. And again only 2 teams out of 32 make it to the SB an it's not like the NBA where you get multiple attempts in the playoffs. Your team could go undefeated an simply lose 1 playoff game an be done. Plus it wasn't that long ago when Tomlin managed to get the Steelers to start at 11-0 with a old beat up QB and after losing mad WR and RB talent. Not to mention losing Ryan shazier before then. So to say coach Tomlin isn't a great coach because he hasn't made it to the SB in a decade is crazy. Especially since he's made it 2xs in his career with the team an not many coach's In the league today can say the same. An again look from his first to last season against all other coach's only other coach that is above him would be Bill belichick cause Brady an the Patriots made more sb appearance. Other than that coach Tomlin is the best in the league

I’m a Steelers fan, and I like Tomlin, but honestly a GOAT is someone that wins more than one playoff game since 2016, and considers one game over .500 as a failure.

Plus there's plenty of teams out there that have the complete opposite where their team has more losing seasons than they do playoff ones. Do these words apply to him as well? during the past 7 years it shows that he has not been in the up trajectory as a coach. No playoff wins and getting blown out on most playoff games. Players may like the father figure personality... but at the end of the day, the results are not there and it is the same type of football, the players in the locker room are asking for more rules and accountability and that speaks loud and clear. The owners are still packing the seats and selling merch, and they will continue to be safe with Mike T. becasue there is always a hint of hope, but it is false hope. The movie is the same and so is the outcome.
