When he was recruiting Marcus Spears at LSU, he told him no matter what, make a 40-year decision and not a 4-year decision. I guess you can see that he def chose the 40-year decision. He made sure he got the education and he majored in Communication Studies. The rest is history.

A QB with 2700 yds for the season was replaced by QB with 150 yrds for the season. Gilbert turned it over 3 times, but TX was only trailing by 3 with 3 minutes left. Gilbert then turned it over 2 more times. The TX defense was spent trying to cover for him. 2009 will always be questioned. As it should be.

I went to basketball camps at lsu in the 80s and heard Dale Brown give motivational speeches,he was a master at motivating and so is Saban
