    Please be aware: The Yosemite finish only works when you do the bowline exactly like he did. If you go behind left to right it works. If you go behind from right to left, the Yosemite finish don't work.

    Always tie an extra knot a foot above the knot. Man law.

    I wish I loved in a place where the trees were friendly enough, and big enough, to do tire swings! Having your trees covered in 1 inch or larger thorns all over it makes for unfriendly trees lol

    Tie in a figure 8 on a bite, would've looked cleaner too.

    That's exactly how i did my kids swing! Even used an old piece of calamine poison ivy. I like to do another bowline around the stem up top then redirect through a fork in a branch below, maximizes strength and eliminates choke points on the tree and it's branches.
