- Canon 6D Mark II 5 Years Later is a video completely shot on the Canon 6D Mark II. Uploaded in the native 1080p that the 6d mark 2 shoots in, along with photos taken with the Canon 6D Mark II. I was kind of surprised at how poor the video quality is. I've always been underwhelmed by the video quality, but after using the Canon 90D and Canon R6 in 4k, this really looks bad to me. I am happy with the photo quality, although I found it hard to shoot initially due to the fact that I was used to the electric view finder of the R6. So ultimately my opinion has not changed on this camera, a great camera for photography, but average at best for video.
Hi. Still have mine. Actually sold a first one in order to get an R, but after a while I realised that the 6D Mark II is the optimum for me, as far as performance and mostly the experience of shooting goes, along with the lenses I have. So I bought a second one and enjoying it to the fullest.

Great video very helpful something I needed to hear Long story short I upgraded from the T7i to the EOSR and it’s a absolute game changer for me even though it’s not the best it’s the best for me and it was the best move I’ve made for my photography However I was considering picking up the R6 this year but I think I might hold off and just upgrade my lenses and continue to learn more about the EOSR and get better coming up on a year with it so I’m excited!
I'd bet that if you got comfortable and confident with the EOSR then the images would be exactly the same as you'd get with the R6. Upgrading lenses made way more improvement in my photography vs the new camera bodies.
On January 2023. My 6d mark 2 will become 5 year old. It still works flawlessly along with my sigma 24-35 f2 art. I shot almost 150+ weddings ( photo + video) with it. I recently bought Canon R7 with sigma 18-35. But still the sharpness of 6d mark 2 with sigma 24-35 is little better in photos.
Instead of R6 I bought R7 because of its convenience in photo video switch. Because I am hybrid shooter.
