Shield+ with 13+1 is enough for me. Mine is the standard model but with night sights. Better grip feel than the Shield 2.0. I also have a Sig P365X but not as comfortable. My H&K VP9SK may be better than either as it seems to have a better trigger.

G43x too small shouldn't even be compared to the macro. Way less capacity too. I. That class is compare it to a regular 365, canik mete mc9, and a shield.
I have the 365-380, 365x and the 365 Spectre comp. I love the Spectre comp on the regular 365 grip. Weight wise the 380 is less, and alot more comfortable to carry. Plus shoots like a dream. Granted you lose a little thump but for EDC you hardly know it's there. All the 365s are amazing with zero issues.
The p365 380 is my edc. Thinking about getting a spec comp. Which one would say shoots flatter? And/or allows for faster follow up shots? Between the 380 and spec comp.

Bought the 365 X macro a couple weeks back. Really truly is a great gun and I understand why people love it. In my personal opinion I feel like for the size it has to be review in a different category of guns such as the normal size guns that have compact models of them. In my personal opinion it doesn’t carry much different than my Cz p10-c and again in my opinion the Cz shoots better. I think if you are truly looking for an EDC that is light and comfortable which makes you more likely to have it everyday I don’t think this is the end all be all. I really like the 365 x model, I think that really combines all the needs in the right manner. Small, light, decent capacity, shoots well for a micro, customizable. Anything but the Canik. HK VP9SK if you want the best. S&W M&P compacts are phenomenal as well. That Mossberg looks promising. Just don't support Canik.
I recently got the Canik Combat Executive. I must say other than my Archron Type B nothing I’ve tried as far a strikers goes compares. It has lots of upgrades’s out the box. It shoots flat, and is very accurate. I can’t recommend it enough. I’m really don’t understand why they aren’t more popular. Seriously!
Nice guns. Red dots are not much help, when gunfights are at conversational distances, where most gunfights start and end. You simply don't have time to effectively employ, to see the red dot, at very close combat. Plus, good single stacks will serve you well too. Sure, more rounds is a good thing, but stats show in most gunfights, there are maybe at the most 5 or 6 rounds fired. I have found carrying a spare magazine or two, is fine, with my 1911, or my Kahr P9.
I have the XL-MACRO grip module with the XL slide and barrel and I love it! I also carry the 43x with the shield arms 15 round mag. I might have to check out that mossberg. Great list💪🏾💪🏾
Dunno what happened with your shield plus. I’ve had zero issues with mine. The only difference is mine is optics ready. With the new Smit and Wesson equalizer out, that uses the same shield plus magazines, there is now a 15 round magazine available for the shield plus…although they’re hard to come by just yet. Great vid man. Glad I found your channel
Sig is dominating the striker 9 world rn. I even like the p320 x series… as long as you don’t drop em… I love my glocks, but man it’s getting hard to stick with them with how sig and other brands are doing rn.
Thank you for video.. I love hearing your experiences. I do have a question. I just purchased a P365 XMacro (yesterday) and then saw a review about a rust problem with this gun. Have you had any issues with rust?
Agree but there’s no reason that Glock couldn’t make standard 15 round mags for it. I shouldn’t have to buy aftermarket mags to get to 15 rounds in a gun that size.
It's too small and too little capacity. I was looking at one, also canik mete mc9, they're basically the same size. Similar to the shield. I ended up with a 365x macro. Fits your full hand on the grip and holds 17 rounds.
Enjoyed this. As expected for choices for the most part. Not disappointed the Glock 43X did not make it. I'm not sure the Arex Delta Gen 2 gets enough credit. I did decide that I am getting the Icarus grip for my Xl.
Already had two XLs when the XM dropped. Bought it anyway. As soon as they came out XM lowers were put on the XLs. Functionality all 3 now feel the same except one is the XM, the second has a threaded barrel and the 3rd has a threaded barrel with a Herrington Arms comp. No one ever golf's with just one club...
Man stop. You get great night sights and a pretty good trigger. Usually come with 3-4 magazines. Better bang for the buck overall. I got my 365x macro without the comp for $600. But they are pricey overall I agree.
Was really surprised to see the Mossburg so high on your list. Don't know if anyone else doing the same Top 5 CCW/EDC list would even have the Mossburg on their list! Great video though.
I sadly bought the P365 SAS. I now have the standard and XL slides. And standard and X/XL Wilson Combat grip modules. Love the interchangeability. I swap depending on what I’m wearing. As a female shooter, this is a huge benefit. I would love to see you review the Glock 43X and 48 as well.
I had 43X as my first EDC gun, nice recoil, version with red dot was precise and yesterday I sold my SIG p365 SAS. It was smooth but no red dot and it was kinda pricey. So I'm considering going back to G 43X or Hellcat 11 Pro.
Do you have more info, maybe on another video, about malfunctions with the Shield Plus? I have heard that some have had issues related to too much spring tension in the mags. Not sure if thats the kind of problems you experienced or not.
Wish I knew why the Hellcat is so snappy. I don't get how it can be so close to size, shape and weight of the others, but be more snappy. (Same bore axis and just about all the other stats too). edit: Could recoil springs make a difference? ... or maybe some buffers like they sell for Glocks? Does it unlock faster or slower?
I rented a hellcat and shot it side by side with my p365 and was surprised how snappy the hellcat was. I thought it was manageable but I didn’t expect it since my p365 wasn’t like that.
@@stephenwilder2320 I never shot one myself. Just know that every person I know that's ever shot one said it was snappy compared to other 9mm's the same size.
I have the X Macro with Icarus Precision Grip Module with Holosun 507K Acss Vulcan and Stream light TLR 7 Sub 1913. This was my first ever gun purchase in October! After all of those upgrades I still wasn’t happy with its trigger. So last week I took it down to Mcarbo which happens to be only 30 mins down the road lucky me! They replaced the trigger, trigger springs, polished internals, and changed the striker to a titanium version along with 3 pound striker spring. Just got back today from the range and the trigger finally feels worthy of my carry gun! Loved your video and the review!
@@MrBigKid I’m honestly not sure how good they are compared. Your going to laugh though because on Monday I came across the Zev OZ9C Hypercomp being sold on sale for 1619 at Bass Pro Shop in Orlando. Agree with you, I carry a Shield Plus, has a 10, 13 and 15 round mag, a Mossberg MC2SC with a 14 and flush 11 round mags, then a sig 365 but I actually carry my Sig p938 more often than the 365 as a backup/smaller option and last the Ruger Security 9, waiting on the Canik MC9 to see if anyone has issues first.
I’ve been carrying a G23 for awhile now. Really looking at that xmacro. But I just watched tactical tool box video. An he was talking about knowing someone who’s xmacro would fire when the gun shakes or something along those lines. Anyways have you had anything like this happen?
Keep the GLOCK G-23 .40 S&W.....it's vastly superior to EVERYTHING fawned over in this lame video. Also noticed he didn't include a GLOCK G19 9mm on the list. Newer shooters and firearm enthusiasts are very easy to spot and identify these days. @@JohnDoeEagle1 This is a video about the Micro to Micro-XL carry guns. I'm getting some... "MuH 2 WoRlD WaRs" vibes lol. Relax fella, we all have our own preferences.
@@MrBigKid I think you missed my point. Proven handguns with over 30+ years proven track records vs flavor of the month yearlings. I wonder which ones will ultimately win?! That is a chance I am not going to find out when I need it to work and be accurate most.
Love this video. Started off great to me and was ready for it to end up not being credible IMO by putting a Glock in there (and maybe even the 19). Very refreshing. Gonna check out that Mossberg a little more. The orig p365 with nothing attached still has the number 1 place IMO in going out ready and as small as you can. The Smith and Hellcat are also in my top 3 of smallest and best conceal.
Sig offers the Macro non comp version for $650 with or without manual safety now. Or if you already have an XL you can just buy the macro frame. The P365 platform can not be beat when it comes to customization. There are three companies producing aluminum grip modules and one making plastic grip modules. We also have a bunch of companies making slides, barrels, magazine pad and other accessories. You can also buy and swap out any part on it including triggers, safeties, slide catch, etc.
All the S&W M&P handguns do NOT have a slide release by design, on purpose. I would not consider the incorrect manual of arms for the Shield Plus as a failure. I am not a fan of S&W, but that "failure" of the slide stop as a slide release is not accurate. Racking the slide is the method to put the slide into battery for all S&W M&P handguns.
Even the slide would lock up while trying to "rack" it on a fully loaded mag. I demonstrated that with in my most recent .30 super carry shield plus video. That slide would not go into batter regardless of what we did.
That is a good way to induce malfunctions and cause short stroking. If the pistol can't operate with the slide release then it is improperly designed and no good for self defense. Many pistols warn against not using the slide release to rechamber a round in the owners manual specifically for this reason.
There are so many pistols with stiff slide locks, I’m thinking manufacturers ALL build them as locks, and if you have strong enough fingers, you can release them. If not, then just pull the slide, problem solved. And people should stop complaining- they are locks not releases!
Funny how everyone has personal EDC requirements. My list is pretty short. H&K USP FULL SIZE 45acl & FN SCAR17S. I never leave my Cattle Ranch lol. We have bear, wolf, big cat & those damn coyotes.
Is the RMS footprint the same as the RMS(c) footprint? I was looking for RMS sights because the Mossberg website says it matches shield RMS but it seems like everyone has upgraded to RMS(c) which makes me wonder if there is anything different .
The Glock 43X really is an excellent firearm, and I’m not a Glock fanboy. The shield mag brings its capacity up to 15. I also think the Taurus GX4 is pretty awesome for the money, seriously.
@@RedEyePergo nothing against the 48 but I don’t prefer the longer barrel. Just doesn’t carry as comfortable for me as a bigger guy and the way I carry. Great gun though.
What about Masada Slim? 13 + 1, optics ready, awesome trigger, 3.4 in barrel, Jericho 17 rd mags and CZ 75 17rd mags compatible. 1/2 the price of x macro.
Hell Cat Pro now comes with a 17 round extended magazine. I had my Hellcat Pro ported at Floyd's Custom Shop. This reduced the recoil quite a bit. I also changed the trigger to a Apex Type 3. This made the gun shoot a lot smoother.
I owned the P365 Macro. Great gun but returned it to the store because it was within 30 days and the state where I live just put a ban on 17 round mags. Yes, I know there are options and the law may get overturned but I didn't want to spend $800 plus for a gun I can't carry as sold. Thanks for all your awesome content.
I like the S&W line bit looking at Canik TP9 , Taurus also...will check a Lil further into Mossberg. Thanks for info.
Caniks are some great firearms! That Mossberg is definitely one to check out brother! I appreciate you catching the premiere!
Anything but the Canik. HK VP9SK if you want the best. S&W M&P compacts are phenomenal as well. That Mossberg looks promising. Just don't support Canik.
@@jonnyt16 why?! What’s so bad about canik?
@@09civsi I'm not a fan of where they are made....a country that still persecutes Christians.
Great video brother. Love the SIG myself. Can't go wrong with it!
Thanks brother! Love the 365 line for sure!
I trust the Shield long term over the Sig P365 long term!
Sig is dominating the striker 9 world rn. I even like the p320 x series… as long as you don’t drop em…
I love my glocks, but man it’s getting hard to stick with them with how sig and other brands are doing rn.
Thank you for video.. I love hearing your experiences. I do have a question. I just purchased a P365 XMacro (yesterday) and then saw a review about a rust problem with this gun. Have you had any issues with rust?
Thank you brother!
I haven’t had any rust build up on any of my P365 guns yet. That’s between my macro and my two XLs
I had rust after 12 days . Then I saw the same videos you probably saw. Took it back and saved 200 bucks on a Hellcat pro.
Man the G43x is criminally underrated
Agree but there’s no reason that Glock couldn’t make standard 15 round mags for it. I shouldn’t have to buy aftermarket mags to get to 15 rounds in a gun that size.
It's too small and too little capacity. I was looking at one, also canik mete mc9, they're basically the same size. Similar to the shield. I ended up with a 365x macro. Fits your full hand on the grip and holds 17 rounds.
@@AndyGarcia-ch1ci I don’t even agree with my comment anymore 1 year later lmao
Enjoyed this. As expected for choices for the most part. Not disappointed the Glock 43X did not make it. I'm not sure the Arex Delta Gen 2 gets enough credit. I did decide that I am getting the Icarus grip for my Xl.
That hat always stands out to me, any chance ya wanna share where ya got it?
I carry the M&P shield 45 2.0. It’s a nice little gun.
Interesting way to look at it! Looks like we have a similar 365 addiction lol
Sig does make great $500 guns for $800
100%!
Man stop. You get great night sights and a pretty good trigger. Usually come with 3-4 magazines. Better bang for the buck overall. I got my 365x macro without the comp for $600. But they are pricey overall I agree.
Great video again! Love your edc collection
Thank you brother! Man that is a solid profile picture!
I have no idea, but honestly never really dove into why it's snappier. That could be a great video idea. Thanks brother!
@@stephenwilder2320 try a shield plus. not near as snappy as the hellcat. i traded my hellcat for 1 after renting the plus and trying it.
@@ou81271000 the 4” shield plus pc is actually the next toy on my list.
Oh man that sounds like an awesome setup! I was thinking about picking up the enhanced FCU from Sig.
@@MrBigKid I’m honestly not sure how good they are compared. Your going to laugh though because on Monday I came across the Zev OZ9C Hypercomp being sold on sale for 1619 at Bass Pro Shop in Orlando. Mind you I live in Tampa Bay so I drove my happy ass 2 and half hours for that baby Monday night lol! Just did it’s first clean before first range trip later today!
Try the Hk vp9sk, or the CZ P10s which are 2 of my favorites along with the Ruger SP101 if you want to add a Revolver. I have no problem with your list all great guns.
Just got the p365 axg legion. Shoots super nice.
Thoughts on Springfield xdm for CC?
It's a little big for CC in my opinion, but it performs well. If you can comfortably carry it, then I'd say go for it!
What insert for the 7Sub did you use on the Icarus. I have the 1913 version and it won’t go back that far, attempting to seat the light back to the third slot like you have. Thanks in advance🎉
Great video, thanks 👍
Thanks for watching!
I got my dog 365 for 640.00 still up there but we’ll worth it. Thanks for your top 5 mossburg I wouldn’t have thought of.
No Beretta M9/92FS or Sig Sauer P-226/Mk25.....no .357 Magnum or .38 Special S&W revolvers....no 1911 .45 ACPs either......
When I grow up someday I am going to be a RUclips firearm channel star.......
@@JohnDoeEagle1 This is a video about the Micro to Micro-XL carry guns. I'm getting some... "MuH 2 WoRlD WaRs" vibes lol. Relax fella, we all have our own preferences.
I haven't had this happen to me personally. That being said, I want to try and get them to have an accidental discharge to test this out.
@@MrBigKid
I think you missed my point. Proven handguns with over 30+ years proven track records vs flavor of the month yearlings. I wonder which ones will ultimately win?! That is a chance I am not going to find out when I need it to work and be accurate most.
@@MrBigKid thanks for the reply.
Thanks All Bee, I appreciate the feedback and compliment!
Great video The best gun is the one that is best for the shooter. Like guns, each shooter is different.
Bro get your hands on a shadow systems cr920 you won’t regret it 🤘🏼
Sig offers the Macro non comp version for $650 with or without manual safety now.
Glocks 19 and 43x with the S15 Gen 3 mags. I don’t see anything better than those.
If you change the grip, the barrel, the trigger, is it even the same gun anymore? Honest question, I don’t get it
All the S&W M&P handguns do NOT have a slide release by design, on purpose.
What optic are you using on the hellcat
Glock 27 with the trigger guard undercut. Takes 9mm conversion barrel/mags if someone wants to instead of 40 cal too.
I’ve always heard the Shield has a “slide lock” not a “slide release” working just fine using over hand or slingshot method to release the slide.
There are so many pistols with stiff slide locks, I’m thinking manufacturers ALL build them as locks, and if you have strong enough fingers, you can release them. If not, then just pull the slide, problem solved. And people should stop complaining- they are locks not releases!
I’m a huge fan of the Hellcat.
They are a great line and very popular! That Hellcat Pro has some capacity as well! Thanks for watching brother.
Sorry to here that

Man in so glsd you did the mossberrg.....so underrated ...the ergonomics are amazing
Great list!
Thanks brother!
Is the RMS footprint the same as the RMS(c) footprint? I was looking for RMS sights because the Mossberg website says it matches shield RMS but it seems like everyone has upgraded to RMS(c) which makes me wonder if there is anything different .
I still love my SW EZ 9mm. Easy yo rack, easy to load magazine, easy to shoot.
I own a 43x. Love it.
The limited experience I’ve had with it, it’s a great shooter
Great options not a bad list.
365xl, Romeo Zero, PMM comp, icarus precision xl+ macro grip module, 17rd +1 mag
Solid setup!
The Glock 43X really is an excellent firearm, and I’m not a Glock fanboy. The shield mag brings its capacity up to 15. I also think the Taurus GX4 is pretty awesome for the money, seriously.
Definitely need to give one a try!
Why not just get the 48 though? extra inch of barrel and barely any weight difference and just as easy to conceal
@@RedEyePergo nothing against the 48 but I don’t prefer the longer barrel. Just doesn’t carry as comfortable for me as a bigger guy and the way I carry. Great gun though.
Shield plus has a 15 round magazine.
Good video. Gets frustrating here in California. Can't get all the new models here. There's not alot of videos for California top CCW.
Sorry you have to deal with those restrictions man :/
Move into a free state.
Looking into it. Have to find the wright place.
Do you have two sig trigger control groups!?
Mossberg over all the caniks .. interesting. Fair list!
I was going to replace it with the Sig 365 XL but I may have to take a look at that Mossberg. Definitely a cheaper option.
Damn.. what state do you live in ?
