      @@MrBigKidaside from the grip, what’s different between A1 and A2?

    • @kb7.62
      @kb7.62 6 месяцев назад +5

      @@msquared9605 the A1 is the m16 but with a forward assist added due to the army’s request. The M16A2 has a different (somewhat longer) stock, a different shaped pistol grip (has a finger notch), different barrel rifling twist rate (1:7 twist rate, versus 1:12 on the M16A1), a somewhat heavier barrel, 3-round burst versus full auto trigger group, a different adjustable rear sight, and a round profile hand guard, compared to the triangular one in the earlier M16/M16A1.
      Also, other (minor) differences are: flash hider (3-prong on early variants of the M16, versus birdcage on the later variants), and teardrop forward assist on the M16A1, versus round on the M16A2).

    I hope they did a good job of it. The M16A2 is my favorite M16 rifle. By far, it is the most used version I have.
    I built mine with a Colt upper, barrel, BCG, stock, pistol grip and forearm. I used a PSA lower with the markings for M16A2, burst, etc.
    It took me quite a while, and not a small amount of expense, to assemble the rifle. If this rifle does that all in one box...it's a good deal.
    Though, I admit, searching for, buying and assembling all the parts was interesting and fun.
    Dura mags are my favorite for use in any AR15 rifle. I do have a Colt 9 round magazine I use for bench shooting, sighting in, etc.

    Don't put a 203 on this for Predator/Scarface (same used prop rifle) because that was an M16A1. You might not be super concerned with "clone accuracy," but even so. The extra weight on the A2 with a 203 gets pretty unpleasant compared to a pencil barreled A1. Ask me how I know..

    • @donwyoming1936

    M4 feed ramps in a M16A2? 🤮.

      Nobody is buying a Springfield A2 to shoot Camp Perry matches with, its a non-issue. M4 feed ramps for reliability using older style magazines.

      This is my 5th SA firearm, and all of them are fitted perfectly, and none of them have ever had a failure that wasn't caused by a bad magazine or a bad primer. Even the milspec 1911 has not had a hangup since i found what mags it likes, not once in thousands of rounds. And don't ask me about the croatian ones, not sure they even can fail.
