Idk why I can't make a comment on this video, so forgive me for replying to your 1st pinned post. Anyway, I wanted to let you know the VITAMIX is worth every penny. If you whizz your veggies long enough it actually makes it hot soup. Can make dairy-free cheese, almond milk, macadamia milk, hemp heart milk, etc etc Then use the pulp for "flour" subs. I use mine almost every day. The dairy free cheese is a winner in and of itself for those trying to cut back on dairy!

Chris Cooking Nashville's mac & cheese is outstanding!! Make sure you top it with bacon! Add a little heavy whipping cream to it when you warm up the leftovers!
I made this just after Chris put it out and it is absolutely one of the most amazing things I’ve tasted since going keto about 5 years ago. It’s probably a three way tie between this, the carnivore mashed potatoes and the carnivore fried rice. They all have Chris’ genius in common. Thank you Wes for bringing this amazing meal to the attention of more people!
Thank you for doing this! I watched Chris do it and wondered if i would be able to do it, too. Now, seeing you do it, i think maybe i can. Will definitely go getvthose Kroger shrimp!
I did this without blending well with larger shrimp and only had mexican blend cheese. It was still pretty good. I think if i used actual cheese powder it woukd have really hit like box mac and cheese like my grandma made.
RE: Vitamix. We bought one two years ago for $299... Maybe it was $349... but it was SO worth it! This after years of Oster, Hamilton Beach, and a Ninja blender. I can make a margarita (I need to find a low-carb recipe for those!) and blend it for just one minute and it's just smooth, creamy, and chunk-free! The Ninja always left little chunks of ice unless we made "snow" with it first. The problem with using "snow" is that you don't know how much you're going to need, and being fluffy a blender full of snow was never enough because it melted so quickly. One thing I learned after buying the Vitamix: The blades are dull, not sharpened! It does everything done using just the pure speed of the blades... and you don't have to worry about them losing their edge. Sorry this is so long, but honestly if we bought a Vitamix when we got married over 18 years ago we would have actually saved money... and had better margaritas. lol Costco frequently has them on sale, especially during the holidays. PS The Vitamix is also self-cleaning!
I'd vote for a Blendtec over a Vitamix. My Ex has a Vitamix and I have a Blendtec. We tested both side by side and for almost everything the Blendtec was better liked by each of us.@@HighfalutinLowCarb

I haven’t tested that, but someone commented that they freeze them after baking. Then thaw them overnight in the fridge and fry them when you’re ready to use them. :-)
I've never seen frozen salad shrimp at Publix down here in Tampa. Maybe use the little ones in the can perhaps, but probably have that additive you mentioned and take 10 cans to make 1 1/2 cups? At 72, I'm a Walmart snob, LOL
You answered my question about using these for lasagna before I could ask it, lol. But another question, when using it for lasagna, do we still have to warm them in a pan to remove moisture? Could we bake them a bit longer in the oven to do this?
Hello! You could certainly fry them with butter on each side, or I’d suggest cutting the sheets to your desired size and then baking them another 10 minutes to dry them out more. Just watch the edges so they don’t get too dry. Probably bake them the second time at like 250F to reduce browning or dry cracking on the edges.
Thank you so much for fixing Chris’s Mac and cheese. I love Chris, Ash and Mel! I am a big fan of all of them. Mel looks like my late dog, Maggie. I love your videos @highfalutinLowCarb!
It’s such a unique ingredient in the powdered form. Hopefully after the “newness” of so many people rushing to buy it to cook with, the price will come down some. If anyone knows of a good substitute, please let us know!
I don't know, man...I've been making the psmf bread since 2019 and I thought it would go down too, but it's even more now than it was back in the day,@@HighfalutinLowCarb
Love these noodles. Going to be my noodles for many things. Yummy, good. Love all of Chris's recipes so far. Thank you for sharing this with more people.
I bought my Vitamix 17 years ago. I use it daily. It's the best kitchen appliance ever. I've used other blenders at the homes of friends and family, and when I do so, I always miss my Vita. You won't regret buying a Vitamix. Very well engineered and super durable.
Great seeing you again Wes Like always you look super great and very fit The recipes Chris comes up with on a regular basis are truly innovative and always turn out delicious Thank you Wes
Great video, Wes! But I do worry about you cutting off your fingers. Please remember to curl your fingers under when you're slicing and cutting things. ❤😘
Noted! (I have terrible knife skills, but the few times I’ve cut myself was when I was trying to be “cheffy” and curl my fingertips. For some reason, my pinky kicks out and goes right under the blade! LOL! Should probably practice that.) Thanks for the support and kind words, Diane! 🧡🧡
Wes! Thanks for this Chris Replay! Just a thought- if needed, the purée would be easily arrived at using a decent food processor. I plan on using my Ninja blender, like yours, the dang 64 ounce wonder! Aside from all else, recipes like this one boost morale and are confidence builders, so Huge thanks to Chris and you for getting this shared! 🤗 Patty in New Hampshire
Thanks for commenting, Patty! I think a food processor would work great! (Sadly, I dropped the lid to my trusty Cuisinart and I haven’t replaced it yet. Boo.) And howdy to you in New Hampshire! We lived in downtown Concord for about four years and I LOVED it! New Hampshire is a magical, beautiful place and has a place in my heart! 🧡
@@HighfalutinLowCarb what a lovely reply! I am pleased you had a chance to enjoy NH! Re: Cuisinart ~ you probably know this, but they are so responsive and stand behind their products (was a voluntary blade recall they covered a replacement blade for some fairly mature units on to newer ones- check your model number!) , point being- absolutely worth replacing your processor’s broken part. Also, a shout out to the many, many Keurig buyers who routinely donate their outstanding Cuisinart drip coffee makers to thrift stores! The only reason I am on my second one in about 20 years is because I wanted a black one rather than a stainless one. If you ever find yourself near Portsmouth, NH, I have a sweet glamper van on a quiet side street y’all can overnight in! 🤗
Anita at Ketogenic Woman did a similar Carnivore Noodle a couple of years ago. It's great. It uses pork rinds. I really liked that. I love Salad/Bay Shrimp but they're kinda hard to find here... and at $9lb. not something I'd turn into "Mac n Cheese". lol Might give the recipe a try with canned chicken as a sub for the Shrimp, or just the original Carnivore Noodle recipe. I love how inventive people are! It's pretty cool that you can replicate nearly anything you crave, with managed expectations.
I don't know about newer Vitamix especially, but they are more than a blender. I soldvmine for lack of space in a motorhome butostly since I no longer ground grains or other tasks
Wes! You always make me laugh. You have no idea how much I appreciate that! I would never bother to make some of these recopies until I see you make them and hear your opinion. So a huge Thank you to you!
@sherryrethwisch9589 any size shrimp will work fine. The smaller they are, are usually a mild flavor. I used the cocktail shrimp ring from Kroger and it was just great. 😋👍
I'm pro Blendtec over a Vitamix. I've used both and love that Blendtec doesn't have sharp blades. I've had mine for over 17 years and it still works perfectly. There are many other reasons I love my Blendtec but not enough space to list them. I'm not affiliated with them just very happy with the blender.
Thank you Wes. I appreciate your doing the recipe. Sometimes ChrisCookingNashville makes the recipes seem too hard for my attention span, but your comments bring the recipes to my reality. 🤣. I don’t want to spend megabucks on a vitamix blender.
Being the gadget queen that I am, I own a Vitamix (and might not have bought it if I’d been low-carb at the time). But it is one of the kitchen appliances I own that I would absolutely replace if it died. I have owned mine for years now. The pitcher developed a problem right before my 5-year warranty ran out and Vitamix replaced it-I’ve had it at *least* 10 years and it works as well as the day I bought it. I use it most for cream-based soups, which can be “ketofied.” I think you’d have no regrets if you bought one. They’re fabulous. While I’m here, thanks for all the shrimp info. I have never eaten a shrimp and know nothing about them. You gave very helpful information, as always!
I saw this on Chris's channel and got excited to make it. I picked up the shrimp yesterday. I already had all the other stuff. I'm making it Saturday. I miss mac n cheese sooooooo much. Neither you nor Chris has ever done me wrong. Yum! Yum!
I made this the day after Chris published his video. It’s amazing! I plan to make the noodles and do a linguini clams with his recipe. Ashley’s taste test when she said “sweet baby Jesus, I’m going to eat the whole bowl. It’s the best carnivore recipe you’ve ever created”….i was sold.
I don’t know how he comes up with his recipes but he’s amazing. Have you seen his refried beans recipe? If not, you have to check it out and see is secret ingredient. It’s mind blowing. Thank you for sharing this.
I tried this recipe the way that you did and I did taste a little bit of the eggy flavor so I remade it another time and I used two whole eggs and three egg whites and it did not taste like egg at all.
🥰🤗 You mentioned using two cooking methods, but this can be batch made and put in the fridge for later use. Not sure how it would fair coming out of the freezer, but definitely fridge stable!
Thank you Wes for doing a carnivore test for all us carnies (lol). We use lots of Chris’ recipes and love them. Been carnivore since July ‘23 both hubby and myself, down 100 myself, 35 to go, hubby down 125, 50 more to go. This WOE has truly changed our lives. It’s thanks to you both and many more that have made it a breeze on us! So we thank you greatly! P.s. wild caught is the ONLY way to go in any fish you can.
I’m really looking forward to trying these for Beef Stroganoff! Since the traditional version uses egg noodles, this should be perfect! May even replicate the “grandma style” noodles I used to use. Thank Wes and Chris!
Definitely a lot simpler to just use the baby shrimp for the macaroni. Apparently some people like to make complicated recipes! Way too much work and things to wash up. Now you have to wash all the measuring cups, two bake racks, knives, a pan, stirring implements, a blender, etc. Plus a wasted hour instead of about 10-15 minutes. Chris Cooking Nashville is amazing. But I need simple, tasty, and fast.
I agree on simplicity! Looking beyond macaroni and cheese, this technique has good promise for things like lasagna noodles and wide egg noodles for chicken noodle soup, where shrimp alone wouldn’t work. :-)
Thanks Wes! You made it look easy! I watched Chris when he brought it out and I bought the ingredients I needed but now watching you make it empowered me to make the time this weekend to make it!
It is great! I used to LOVE this “seafood casserole” that was on a seafood buffet when I was younger. It was basically a super creamy mac and cheese recipe with baby shrimp, scallops, and diced andouille sausage instead of the noodles. Super cheesy and amazing. Reminds me a lot of that!
Wes, @highfalutinlowcarb were your ears burning tonight? We were talking about this video today at work & my friends all commented that they were surprised that you didn't do a "battle" between the 2 crazy keto's version & CCN's to see your opinion of both, side by side. Last year, I brought in a big Nesco of the 2KK's and they went crazy over that recipe. Personally, its been years since eating noodles so Joe & Rachel's is my go to. Your channel is right up there in my top faves Wes. You have a way with words, people & certainly food!
I love all of Chris' recipes. I really enjoyed watching you recreate his recipe. It shows how easy and delicious his recipe really is. It also helped to show that this recipe can be done even if you don't have all the equipment in Chris' video. Thanks so much for another wonderful video. I ♥️ watching you. So very entertaining.

@ladyflimflam any size shrimp will work. Usually the smaller the milder. I used one of those cocktail shrimp rings and they were great. 😋👍
Woow So delicious‼🔥🔥🔥💫💫💫💫💫💫💫🥂
It was!
@@ChrisCookingNashvilleawesome, thank you for such a quick response!
@@missyasche881anytime 😊
The man himself here to answer the tough questions! 😁
Thank you so much for fixing Chris’s Mac and cheese. I love Chris, Ash and Mel! I am a big fan of all of them. Mel looks like my late dog, Maggie. I love your videos @highfalutinLowCarb!
Thank you for watching and commenting! Mel definitely looks like a sweetheart! 🐶🧡
Looking good, Wes. Thanks for bringing us this new old idea.
Thank you! :-)
I bet if Chris make this in boxes he will be a millionaire. I will buy it asap
can't wait to try this!!
you are the best.
love your humor
Thank you! Have fun if you try it!
Make Fettuccine!
❤Thanks Wes!❤
❤And Chris!❤
I made this last night and for someone who doesn't like seafood I thought it was amazing.
So glad to hear! 🧡
I hate shrimp, does it taste shrimpy at all?
@@lolabelle4959 I hate shrimp ,any seafood for that matter, and I can honestly say that it did not.
@@craftycathy33332 thanks 4 that, will give it go x
We need a replacement for egg white protein powder 😢 it's way too expensive now. Great video
Glad to help spread the word of his amazing work! :-)
I bought my Vitamix 17 years ago. I use it daily. It's the best kitchen appliance ever. I've used other blenders at the homes of friends and family, and when I do so, I always miss my Vita. You won't regret buying a Vitamix. Very well engineered and super durable.
Glad to have your independent testing, Wes. The hunt is on for non-tripolyphosphate treated salad shrimp in my area stores.
Glad to help! Good luck on the shrimp-hunt! 🙂
I love Chris' recipes. I have been wanting to try this one too. I have made his carnivore pizza crust and so very good!!!
It's so good!
Great seeing you again Wes
Like always you look super great and very fit
The recipes Chris comes up with on a regular basis are truly innovative and always turn out delicious
Thank you Wes
Thanks so much, Ursula! I’m always impressed by his ingenuity! 🧡🧡
LOL! Should probably practice that.)
Thanks for the support and kind words, Diane! 🧡🧡
i don't like shrimp. but this looks like a good way to get some sea food into me! thanks Wes. i'm going over to Chris'es for the recipe!
Wes, thank you for doing this review of Chris’s Mac N Cheese. The shrimp is a little crazy. Have a great rest of your week.
Thanks! You too! (And don’t let the shrimp stop you from trying it!) 🙂
"Ain't mad at" you and Chris, Wes. Such good stuff. Genius.
😁🧡
Oh....I'm watching this video! ❤
Yay!
Boo.)
And howdy to you in New Hampshire!
❤ made this last weekend, and my whole family enjoyed it. Even my picky 12 year old lol thanks Chris and thank you Wes for sharing this goodness
That’s so great to hear! 12-year olds can be the hardest food critics to impress! 🙂🧡
Anita at Ketogenic Woman did a similar Carnivore Noodle a couple of years ago. It's great. It uses pork rinds. I really liked that.
I love Salad/Bay Shrimp but they're kinda hard to find here... and at $9lb. not something I'd turn into "Mac n Cheese". lol
Might give the recipe a try with canned chicken as a sub for the Shrimp, or just the original Carnivore Noodle recipe.
I love how inventive people are! It's pretty cool that you can replicate nearly anything you crave, with managed expectations.
What about canned salad shrimp?
I don't know about newer Vitamix especially, but they are more than a blender. I soldvmine for lack of space in a motorhome butostly since I no longer ground grains or other tasks
I know some of them even HEAT while blending! They definitely are popular (and pricey!) for a reason!
Wes! You always make me laugh. You have no idea how much I appreciate that! I would never bother to make some of these recopies until I see you make them and hear your opinion. So a huge Thank you to you!
You are so welcome, Tammy! Thanks for watching and leaving your kind words. 🙂🧡
I love my Vit-A-Mix. I have had it for 20 years.
❤️🥰❤️
🧡
@sherryrethwisch9589 any size shrimp will work fine. The smaller they are, are usually a mild flavor. I used the cocktail shrimp ring from Kroger and it was just great. 😋👍
Running to the store!! Yum thanks Wes!!!
Have fun! It’s a wild recipe! 🙂
Good to know!
You are loved Wes! Another great video and I will try this this weekend as this would be a great change to my carnivore lifestyle!
Thank you for the kind words! Come back and let us know what you think after you try it! :-)
Hmm I’ll try that one of this day thanks
Thank you for the review! I agree, put some "extras" in that mac and cheese. It never ceases to amaze me with what gets created that is low carb.
I totally agree!
Thank you Wes. I appreciate your doing the recipe. Sometimes ChrisCookingNashville makes the recipes seem too hard for my attention span, but your comments bring the recipes to my reality. 🤣. I don’t want to spend megabucks on a vitamix blender.
Glad I could help! It’s easy… give it a shot! 🧡
Yay!!! I made the 2KK ones and they are great. This is going to be so good.
Showing my age, I loved the old “dating game TV show” 2 second jingle when you had to switch blenders. 😊👍
It's a song called "Spanish Flea" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.
U always brighten my day Wes, cud listen 2 u talking about paint drying!! Luv ur accent❤, much love from Scotland x x
😊 thank you, LolaBelle! I appreciate that! XOXO
Thank you! Glad to help with the shrimp. Thank YOU for helping with the Vitanix… guess I need to take the plunge! 🙂🧡
Chris' carnivore refried beans look very interesting too! Can't wait to try his Mac 'n Cheese. Thx Wes!
Wes, I think that's ☝a hint😊
You bet! I’m intrigued by the bean recipe, too!
I saw this on Chris's channel and got excited to make it. I picked up the shrimp yesterday. I already had all the other stuff. I'm making it Saturday. I miss mac n cheese sooooooo much. Neither you nor Chris has ever done me wrong. Yum! Yum!
And chicken noodle soup and lasagna and baked ziti and shrimp alfredo and and and.... Oh! And macaroni salad. ♥
Hey Wes, carnivorouschef has a carnivore mac n cheese as well!
you can use half the ingredient for 1 person and use the smaller blender I think.
Great idea!

I’ve been eyeing it, but haven’t tried the beans yet. Sounds like it’s a must!
@@HighfalutinLowCarb I’ll definitely be watching when you do 😊

Or the magic of Franks Red Hot 😊
I can't wait to try it! I couldn't get salad shrimp but going to try with regular shrimp. Thank you!
He’s fantastic hey?
For sure!
I tried this recipe the way that you did and I did taste a little bit of the eggy flavor so I remade it another time and I used two whole eggs and three egg whites and it did not taste like egg at all.
You're the best Wes I love your reviews, integrity, humour ❤
I appreciate that! Thanks for the kind words, and for leaving a comment. 🙂🧡
🥰🤗
You mentioned using two cooking methods, but this can be batch made and put in the fridge for later use. Not sure how it would fair coming out of the freezer, but definitely fridge stable!
Great to know! Thanks for sharing that, Aurora! 🧡
@Aurora3242 you can freeze the noodles. Just thaw overnight in the fridge and then do the frying step when you are ready to have them. 😊😋👍
@@tpcdelisle Eureka, we are set - Thank you!
You might be able to use a quart mason jar on your blender with the blade. Many times they fit regular mouth mason jars. ❤
Interesting!
We call them prawns here in UK 🇬🇧 I’m always envious when I see the size of your regular shrimp ❤
Remember the 👍 !

Thank YOU for watching and commenting! This community keeps me going after all these years! 🧡🧡
Chef to chef...I love it!
❤️❤️❤️
🧡
I’m really looking forward to trying these for Beef Stroganoff! Since the traditional version uses egg noodles, this should be perfect! May even replicate the “grandma style” noodles I used to use. Thank Wes and Chris!
My mind INSTANTLY went there, too!
Thanks I watched Chris but you really simplified this.
Glad it was helpful! :-)
I haven’t seen salad shrimp in the store for years.
Thanks Wes! You made it look easy! I watched Chris when he brought it out and I bought the ingredients I needed but now watching you make it empowered me to make the time this weekend to make it!
Glad I could help! Go forth and conquer! 🙂
Yeah, Chris is very creative but sometimes he overcomplicates when he's explaining. Wes is a great educator and communicator
Awww too bad...shrimp allergy.
Chris has some ideas in his video about using a mild, flaky, white fish like tilapia or swai in place of the shrimp! Worth a shot!
I tried the Two Crazy Ketos carnivore Mac and cheese also made with baby shrimp. I loved it!
@@HighfalutinLowCarb that sounds amazing! I’ll add andouille next time.
Wes, I just love you 💕💕
Thank you, Linda! 🧡🧡
Thanks for trying this recipe❤️
My pleasure. 😊 It’s worth it! Thanks for watching and commenting, GrammyBeth! 🧡
I’m wondering if these noodles can be made ahead of time & frozen for later
I love all of Chris' recipes. I really enjoyed watching you recreate his recipe. It shows how easy and delicious his recipe really is. It also helped to show that this recipe can be done even if you don't have all the equipment in Chris' video. Thanks so much for another wonderful video. I ♥️ watching you. So very entertaining.
Thank you so much! Appreciate you watching and stopping by to comment! 🧡
Great Review! Love this! You Rock Wes 🤩🧀
Chris is brilliant!
I read ‘baby shrimp’ and that was all. I’m deathly allergic to shellfish. I’ll have to keep trying other Mac and cheese recipes. Bummer.
Chris gives some alternatives at the end of his video for using mild, white fish like tilapia and swai in place of the shrimp. Good luck out there! 🧡
Can you not use a food processor instead of a blender?
That would probably work great! Just needs to be smooth. Give it a shot!
